http://www.woodland-heights.org/Events/LSaturday, December 12th - 6:00pm to 10:00pmA Woodland Heights neighborhood event, where the City of Houston is invited to the party!
FOR SURE THIS IS THE BEST PLACE AND RELATIVELY CLOSE TO YOU:PRESTONWOOD SUBDIVISIONThis is a great place to cruise with your family and friends and see all the extreme Christmas lights and decorations in this united subdivision. Every street has a different theme and almost every house partakes in this December-long event. A few of the houses are so heavily lighted, you can see them from space.Real Estate agents report that when a house is sold, the previous owner leaves the themed decorations for the new neighbor so as not to break tradition.Put Christmas music on the radio, turn off the headlights and cruise through the neighborhood. If the weather permits, roll down the windows, some families even pass out candies to the kiddos.Directions: Take 249 South from The Woodlands and exit Cypresswood Drive; Turn left (east) on Cypresswood to the Prestonwood Drive entrance on your right (south). There you are! Enjoy!
Prestonwood is a neighborhood off of Senate that all of the neighbors co-ordinate the decorations and do a beautiful job. There is usually a theme. Jersey Village has some nice decorations too. Watch for the Lights in the Heights dates as well.
Of course their is a way to rebuild Detroit. It would take a lot of reform of local government, and architecture but I can t see why it wouldn t be possible. I would bet it would take at least 10 years though.
It could be done. The challenge is getting people to agree upon what a rebuilt Detroit should include.
It constantly amazes me how many Answers out hear do not read questions closely and therefore give screw-up answers, as did the 2 Answerers before me here.OK, to beat the (presumably weekday rush hour) traffic from Boston to Maine (and not vice-versa, as the previous Answerers responded to) you should leave Boston by 4pm, maybe even 3:45, or after 6:30 pm.
i left boston l one summer night at 10pm...i had the whole highway to myselfabout 90% of the time......buy cupS of coffee before you leave, everything seems closed
The earlier the better, I would leave at about 400 am
honestly prob 4-5am u will be good trust me
Yeah, I m thinking you might, since it s for an entire month. When you re heading back, make sure you drink a lot of water to get very hydrated (NO diet drinks or caffeine), and if you even begin to get a headache, take a Tylenol or aspirin to stop it before it really gets going. Altitude sickness doesn t happen every time, so I can t tell you yes, for sure , so don t get too bummed. You may be just fine. Good luck!
You probably won t feel it, I live in Denver and went to sea level for 2 months and when I came back I was ok, but apparently you are prone to altitude sickness so when you get back here take a nap and drink lots of water, good luck.
I doubt you ll feel any difference when you get back. I ve been back to lower altitudes (Jersey) for long periods and felt nothing when I got home to Castle Rock.
LaGuardia Airport is closer than JFK, but each will take about the same time to get to midtown as JFK has better connections. There are a lot of hotels near the theaters. Milford Plaza might be a little cheaper, if not as nice. Marriot Marquis is close enough to have a theater in the building. It can get cold in December. I have experienced temperature as low as 5 degrees F. for a whole week, but that was a one time anomaly. Usually the temperature will not fall below forty. Maybe thirty five on a rare cold night. Rain could happen, but it is usually not a big problem. If you stay in that area, try looking for restaurants along Ninth Ave. That is only two blocks west, but a world of difference. Less money for better food.By things to do, I will assume that you have a basic familiarity with attractions. Of course the tree in Rockefeller Center and Nearby Fifth ave are reasons that people come here. See Grand Central Terminal as it is decked out for the season. Make sure to see the Transit Museum there. If you like trhat go to the main museum in nearby Brooklyn. It is easy enough to get to and they can direct you at the shop.
Newark Liberty International Airport is a hell of a lot closer, and the PATH trains make it easy to get where you want to go.Weather can be very variable, but you re unlikely to need a hat. Unless there s a good wind blowing, two layers should cut it since you ll be indoors most of the time. The Marriot Marquis, Parmount, Millenium Broadway, and the Doubletree Broadway should do you good, but the prices range a fair amount. I like the Club Quarters Midtown Hotel right in the theatre district. And don t forget Father Duffy Square/TKTS for discounted, same-day theatre tickets (Broadway and 47th Street). Just look for the big TKTS sign, and get there early.
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
1) JFK airport2) Hilton hotel, Marriott hotel, Blue Fine hotel (they all nice but very expensive) can check their website3) it will be cool .. so no summer clothes but u can sure bring dresses for evening.. (have winter coat and sweaters, cap, gloves,)
lolAtlanta does sleepYou must got Atlanta mixed up with NYC or San Francisco
You must of confused the city with the crack heads; just kidding, just kidding, and you should have saw your face... ha, but they do have a LOT of crack heads, and meth users/dealers, because all the roads go through Gwinnett (county outside of Atlanta) and that s nicknamed The meth capital of the USA Seriously, you re thinking about NYC
I have never heard of Atlanta referred to as a city that never sleeps. Bars stay open until 4 am in the city (not the suburbs) but there are very few restaurants other than Waffle House that stay open 24 hours a day.The only thing happening in ATL after 3 am is crime and there is plenty of that.
I agree with the first answer. You have ATL mixed up with NYC.Atlanta is not all that it s made out to be. It s high in crime. And if you go down town on sunday to wear the big stuff is at. You ll see hundreds of home less people. And every day being that I live next to a high way I can see it straight out my window all it has it police chases, car crashes, and bad drivers.
It can get very cold. We ve had blizzards in mid-March. You ll definitely need a warm jacket and lots of layers. You might also want to bring a slightly less heavy jacket in case we get a break from the cold. Definitely check the weather forecast before you leave.
March can be VERY cold! Everybody thinks, Ah, March is here, it s Spring! but it s NOT! It can be very cold and very rainy and it can snow, too, so bring warm clothes, sturdy waterproof boots, and lots of layers!Good luck!
It can real cold in March. Temparture in NYC during march can rage from 30 to 48 degrees F (-2 to 8 degrees C). My advice dress warm when in NYC.Good luck
March can be the coldest month actually Mid Feb - Late March ! COLD
