How old do you have to be to rent a car in Las Vegas? -

I m planning on taking a trip to Las Vegas this coming March or April as I am considering relocating there and I want to see what the city is like before I make a final decision if a move is good or not.I will be 20 when I make my trip this coming spring. I may go by myself or maybe one of my older friends or family may go with me (it would be easier on expenses thats for sure)But anyways if I do end up going by myself, does the state of Nevada, Clark County or the city itself have age restrictions on rent a cars? This would be very helpful to me. Thanks! If i do make the move it will be in November or December 2010

Age restrictions are put on by the rental agency or their insurer. They are 25 here. Some places will allow down to 21 with extra insurance riders. You might want to read this web page about moving to Vegas.

Legally you can rent a car at 18, HOWEVER, by company policy almost EVERY rental agency requires you to be 25, or they will charge you a HUGE underage surcharge. People under 25 just have too many accidents.

most car companies you have to be 25under 25 many charge a very huge price and if your under 21 its even more you also need a credit card like visa MC..

25 to rent a car or work in a rental agency where you move the car.

25 with a valid driver s license. There is 24 hour drinking so risks are higher in Vegas so therefore, they are stricter in terms of renting cars.

majors want credit card for 25 or more, 21-25yo, big cash, both current driver license,

21 with a valid drivers license and major credit card.
