Which island in Hawaii is best to stay on? -

We are trying to plan a vacation to hawaii for a week. We have my wife and kids are going and my inlaws totaling 10 people. What island is best? We will want to go to pearl harbor definitely. how much would it cost to get from one island to another? but dont necessary want to stay on that island, we want white sandy beaches, nice people, beautiful nature etc Where is the best place to stay preferably close or on the beach. A house or condo?

First, the good news: there are only 6 Hawaiian islands that you can choose from. Now, the bad news: it is awfully hard to decide which island deserves your attention since each island seems beautiful and fascinating, and your vacation lasts only that many days.Maui, the Magic Isle, is all about variety. With magnificent sunsets, 42 miles of shimmering uncrowded beaches, luxury resorts, and wilderness areas where few outsiders have ever set foot, this island has something for everyone. You can drive down the famous road to Hana that passes verdant rainforests and waterfalls, watch the sunrise over Haleakala Crater ( The House of the Rising Sun ), hike the rugged North Shore, or browse through a multitude of shops and art galleries in an old whaling town called Lahaina. Maui has an amazing choice of ocean activities, including fantastic diving and snorkeling. In winter, you can watch the humpback whales play and breach in the ocean. Oahu is best known for Honolulu and Waikiki Beach where you will find plenty of shopping, dining, and thriving nightlife. Other famous attractions include Pearl Harbor, Polynesian Cultural Center, and Sea Life Park. You can hike up the Diamond Head for a spectacular 360-degree view of the island, snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Hanauma Bay, discover the underwater world during a submarine dive, or sail into the sunset on a dinner cruise. There is no bad choice.

I am wanting to relocate to the Dallas, TX area? -

I am planning a move to the Dallas, TX area or surrounding areas in the next year, and am looking for advice. I have will have an MBA in Finance upon my move, and am looking for suggestions on a good city or suburb of Dallas. I would like a quiet safe town, but still within a decent driving distance into Dallas to go to work. Any suggestions?

Depends on where you work. If you work in Downtown Dallas, you may want to stay in Dallas itself because the commute is very bad. All major highways, 75, 30, 35 and 635 are packed every morning and evening. A 15-30 mile commute will take you at least 1 hour if you live outside of Dallas. It will cost you to live in a nice area in Uptown Dallas but you have to weigh in the commute time. If you still want to live outside of Dallas, look for cities that have the DART. DART is Dallas Rapid Transport System (rails) and most companies located in downtown Dallas have discount for annual passes for their employees. If you live near a DART rail and you company is near a DART rail, then you dont have to drive. The DART is pretty fast and runs 7 days a week. Check www.DART.org for rail maps. I live in Richardson and it s near a DART rail. It takes me 30 min to go to downtown by rail and 20 min by car (if no traffic). DART rail is expanding aggresively. Main Chinatown is in Richardson and most Asian live in Plano, Richardson and Carrolton where most of the Asuin market are, Good luck and hope you enjoy Dallas,

It sounds like you re young Tony, so I d suggest the Uptown area of Dallas which is popular with young professionals or Frisco or Plano, which are both north of Dallas, and which are both very nice, popular suburbs.

Look into Murphy, Wylie, Mansfield, Midlothian and Saxsie.

Does anyone know week end getaways for me and my boy friend around NYC? -

Some thing like 1 hour drive or so from New york city. some places like sight seeing to just enjoy our time together. any suggestions?

on long island, there are the north and south forks, the south fork has montauk and the hamptons along with some outlet shopping, while the north fork has vineyards and small towns, both places have farms.theres also the jersey shore with places such as point plesant, atlantic city, cape may, sandy hook etc,and bucks county pa with doylestown, new hope and peddlers villageand in upstate new york and connecticut there may be some nice spots as well.

Well, it s a long-ish drive from NYC, 200 miles/3 hours, but I absolutely adore Lake George, which is a really fun vacation destination for young and old alike.Last year we took one of their famous historic steam-powered paddle-wheel ferries out onto the lake just in time to watch the July 4th fireworks and it was fun and unforgettable.Check out the link below for more info, you won t be sorry, and, like me, you ll probably go back again and again...

you ll probably have to drive more than an hour if you really want to feel like you got away, especially if you re going for a whole weekend...that said, lake placid in the adirondacksburlington, vermontthe catskillssaratoga springs, ny..all of the above are within 3-4 hours of nyc, more than worthwhile for a weekend getaway

The link below can help u. Good luck!

You could go to The...Statue of LibertyEmpire State BuildingOr just go out to lunch or dinner and watch the sunset

Does anybody know anything fun to do in san Antonio,Texas? -

OK, here s a partial (and serious) answer:Fiesta TexasSea WorldSan Antonio ZooSunken GardensSan Antonio Botanical GardensShopping Malls (especially North Star Mall and the RiverCenter Mall)The RiverwalkHemisfair Plaza and the Tower of the AmericasDozens of MuseumsThe Alamo and the four other missions that make up the San Antonio Missions National Historic TrailThat should get you started! Have a good visit.

DRINK CERVEZA, THEY DON T HABLAN ENGLES IN SAN ANTONIO, SO SIT IN A BAR AND DRINK CERVEZA AND DON T GET IN TROUBLE Report Abuse

Go downtown. There are nice restaurants, cafes, bars, museums, El Mercado market, Rivercenter Mall, The Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. Besides that.. there is an art museum in Alamo Heights (McNay Art Museum) and a Japanese garden around that area. Besides the downtown area, there is Sea World and Fiesta Texas. Besides that, there isn t really much to do. San Antonio is a suburban city. Everything is spread out and every 2 miles, there is a Wal Mart, Home Depot, HEB, and a McDonald s. Little diversity. Same old same old. If you like shopping, I would suggest Northstar Mall and La Cantera (mixed use development)

there is a lot to do in San Antonio, six flags is real popular and also sea world. There is a lot to do in the river walk like the rio san antonio cruises and you can also visit the Alamo and the Hard Rock Cafe.

starting in late afternoon, the River Walk is lovely, and cool.you can drink Sangria, take the tour boats.there is also shopping.

Where are there A Lot of College age Ppl in the West Valley? -

Okay I can think of CSUNPierceNorthridge MallTopanga MallFallbrook MallAnywhere else besides the places listed above like any shopping centers that might fit the criterion

Northridge eateries and bars are where the majority of college aged people hang out ... The malls are mainly for middle and high school kids -- most college students live at home and probably hang with their friends. There is not really all that much to do in the valley. but it has easy access to the beaches, hills and desert. have you tried to ask your friends where they hang?I used to go to the beach or shoot up to Bakersfield - Fresno - Merced area!

Average utilities for an apartment in Denver? -

Hi! I m doing a pretend-life project where we figure out expenses and stuff. I need to know what the average utilities for a Denver apartment:heating billa/c billwater billgarbage servicescar insurancecable internetthanks! again, just for a school project so doesn t need to be super exact

depends on the size of the apartment, but for an average one bedroom its usually around $40 give or take. The heating and a/c are on one bill. water bill again, depends on the size and how many people, if you have to water a yard etc. I have never paid water because all the places I have rented at cover the water in the rent, garbage service also. My mom says her garbage is $60 every three months.car insurance depends on the year make and model of the car, the age and gender of the driver, your driving record...mine is $150/month for a 99 SUV, clean driving record, 23 year old female.cable and internet can run anywhere from $50 to $100 depending on who you get it from and how fast you want it, what channels you get, etc.
