Im going to orlando for the first time...Should I buy my tickets online or wait until I get there? -

Hi everyone. I am currently living in Mexico and me and my girlfriend are going to orlando for the very first time. I want to make our first trip memorable, so I am pretty nervous about getting everything planned. My first question is should I buy theme park tickets online or wait until I reach Orlando? Are there any discounts in Orlando that I might not get online. Also let me explain a little bit about my trip. I will be going from the 9th of January to the 16th, 2010. This is what I have been planning I would appreciate any suggestions. Day 1 (Saturday)- Universal StudiosDay 2 (Sunday)- Island of AdventuresDay 3 (Monday)- Sea World and dinner at Pirate Dinner Adventure. Day 4 (Tuesday)-MGM StudiosDay 5 (Wednesday)- EpcotDay 6 (Thursday)- Magic KingdomDay 7 (Friday)- Should I go to Animal Kingdom or Repeat a Disney Park?Day 8 (Saturday)- Repeat a Disney Park. Im 27 and My girlfriend is 23 and we are both very excited to go. I thank you all for your comments and suggestions. Help me make this the perfect vacation.

Universal has some discounts available for purchasing online. Disney does not, but you will save time and won t have to stand in line. There s nothing you are going to find when you get there - possibly a buck or two off at the visitor s center.Just FYI, MGM Studios is called Hollywood Studios now, and Animal Kingdom is a Disney park. Personally, I don t think Animal Kingdom is all that great. But since it appears you are spending 5 days at Disney, you might want to give it a try. It s a smaller park and doesn t take as long to do, so you might want to do it in the middle of your visit and take part of the day off for a rest. You have got an action-packed trip planned, and a rest will most likely be welcomed by that time. So maybe Tuesday or Wednesday, spend the morning at Animal Kingdom, then go back and rest for a while.

What I Have Noticed About Most White People In Los Angeles, What Do You Think? -

I ve noticed that most white people in LA tend to look down upon blacks and hispanics as intellectually inferior to whites. A large number of white people also tend to perceive minorities as uncivilized/immoral beings. Just something to think about...

I love how you end your statement with, just something to think about . The reason this is so funny is because you are not thinking yourself, you are simply acting how others want you to act.I recommend you open your mind and allow yourself to make your own decisions and to form your own views in life instead of going by what is shoved in front of you on a daily basis. There is a lot more to life then what society wants you to see.I doubt you speak on behalf of most white people, and I doubt most white people have these views. I can easily turn your question around by asking you if you have ever visited places such as Fontana, Riverside, Lancaster, or Palmdale. Now lets talk about uncivilized and immoral human beings...

It is mas importante for Hispanic people to maintain fluency with Espanol because this allows them a code to speak within thier closed group. This private circle gives them advantage over white people and maintain control. Likely this is in retaliation for generations of oppression from white. wtf Report Abuse

Stereotype.ANYONE can stereotype different races as less but thinking that all whites think that is just as bad... you are sterotyping me... Thats shallow. I dont look down to other races since sometime some of them are smarter than me but i do look down to people that are intellectually inferior white, brown, black or blue.

While it is true that whites as a distinct majority in America do not and never have had to concern themselves with the feelings, cultures and motivations of other races to make such a blanket statement about one specific city in California is silly. I think you are too worried and concerned about white people and need to be more concerned with yourself and what you are doing.

Where were you in Los Angeles? I grew up on the LA/OC area Most of the Blacks and Latinos are about working and bettering them selves and their families. There is groups with the welfare mentality, waiting for handouts. But not the majority. People are there for the weather, and the good life you can have living there.

I lived in LA for 18 years, even working at a hospital that served soley the lower socioeconomic and poorly educated masses. At no time did I or my colleagues look down on the people we served.I don t know who you are referring to, but it certainly wasn t me or anyone I know (and I know a LOT of well-educated people).

We don t think you are inferior, but if you keep thinking that and believing that, that is all you will ever be. I believe that anyone regardless of race or color can do anything if you set your mind to it. Everyone is capable of acomplishing great things they just have to believe in themselves. I think it s sad that race and color has become such a roadblock in our society. My kids were raised as I was, to give everything they did at least 150% effort, any less then don t bother. They are super hard working, decent, caring people and I am very proud of who they are and what they have accomplished. Being a woman has not been easy either. For years I was told I should be home having babies, not working in a mans world. If you don t want to be stereotyped, please don t stereotype us, we don t all believe that way. Discrimination goes both ways, it is equally destructive no matter wht side your on.

yeah it s kind of true. obviously not every white person is like that but to some degree it s true. i m white, i don t think that at all, but i think phsychologically a lot of white s do think that because the crime and poverty statistics are so much higher for minorites. racism will always be an issue

I think FreshlyB who posted this question is doing primary research for a sociology paper. This is a good technique to bring out feelings that people would not vent in face-to-face interviews.

LA has its problems like any other part on Earth that has humansyes many caucasian people look down upon other ethnic backgrounds, why, because their way of thinking is ignorantbut there are far more caucasian people who who aren t racist

You quit worrying about White people. White people aren t bad as you think they are.

I look down on everybody except elves cus they has magic powers.so what are we smoking tonight?

What complete and utter BS.

in LA????try everywhere in the US you meanthe white man always trying to keep me down!!!!

actually, nothing to think aboutyou are simply wrong

This did give me a lot to think about. How come such questions don t get deleted?

Obviously I can t speak for everyone, and I don t know how everyone is living, all I can say is what I think. So me being a white person, I don t have a problem with black people, except those who act inappropriately, but when I walk into a store and I look around and I am the ONLY white person, and I listen and all I hear is spanish and I don t have a clue as to whats being said, it makes me really angry and yes I get mad, because to me, its like you come to the US wanting a better life, to be american, but you wave your flag, speak a different language, live off welfare, come running up to my car for work, and I feel like the Hispanics want to turn where ever they live into a little mexico. Because now there are so many Hispanics coming to the US (CA) that now everyone who isn t Hispanic has to learn how to speak spanish, or when you go to read something now its in english and in spanish, and when I go into a Target grab a bottle of shampoo to try a new one out and I cant read what it does for my hair because its in spanish! Yes I get pissed.I don t have a problem with all Hispanics either though, my fiance is half Hispanic, he knows how to speak spanish very well, but he speaks in english, he has an office job, isn t standing on some corner waving people down, and isn t talking **** on people. Oh and yes I have found this out several time that the hispanics look down upon the whites. My fiance doesn t look like a hispanic, so one day he goes out to baja-fresh for lunch, and hears the workers (all hispanic) talking in spanish and they say, Don t put anything in his food, he s looking. Another time, we were walking in Ventura a young boy and his father on a really cool bike ride by and I smile at them admiring their awesome bike and the boy says in spanish, Stupid white girl. And the only reason why I would ever think sometimes do think hispanics are uncivilized is because I go into a store (example this happened just yesterday) Old Navy to be exact, in North Hollywood, EVERYONE was hispanic, myself and my daughter were the only white people in that store, not even one other white person in that store, then all I hear spanish, all I see little kids running around like its a freaking jungle gym, trash on the floor someone spilt an iced coffee and just walked away, and everywhere I look was like destroyed, displays messed up, clothes messed up, and on the floor, things hanging where they shouldn t be.So to me it is upsetting, when I m the only white girl in a store, when all around me is filth and all I hear is spanish, and when you see job hire ads and it says spanish a must, so its like now anyone who isn t hispanic has to be, just to get by. So why do we have to learn spanish, but if any american travels to a foreign city like japan or russia, we have to learn there language, we don t say oh because we live here now, you all must speak english. When you move to another country, you learn their language. I m sure to whoever reads this that yeah sure I sound racist but I m not, but because of what I m surrounded by I feel like it sometimes, but half my fiances family is hispanic and I love them all, they have nice homes (with only one family in it) they came here (decades ago, legally) and they feel the same way I do, and not all hispanics are like this, I know, but when its all you see hear, what else am I supposed to think? As for black people, one of my bestfriends is black, and the only thing I would have to say, is I hate the whole ghetto talk (I hate it when hispanics do it to) and I hate all the gang **** and violence, its pointless.

Will a tavel kettle brought in europe work in america? -

hi i have a travel kettle that was brought a couple of years ago in spain, will this work in the us, its 240 v, if not approx how much are travel kettles to buy in orlando, the hotel does not have coffee machines in the room, its only a basic room were staying in, i have an adaptor, but i remember my hair straightners wouldnt work in the us but things like phone chargers did.

It won t work (for the same reason your hair straightener didn t). You should be able to get an electric tea kettle for $20 - $25. That is the super basic cheap model. They can obviously be more expensive. Target carries them as do lots of other stores. I d have to sat that the $25 is a good investment if you drink lots of tea!Have a great trip!http://www.target.com/Electric-Kettles-K
