Sunset Blvd. goes from the Pacific Ocean to close to downtown Los Angeles. It goes from very wealthy on the coast to very working class. It s 22 miles long and highly unlikely you ll see a celeb walking down the street while you re driving. Along Rodeo Drive you ll see more camera toting tourists like yourself than any celebrities. If they do go shopping along there than they use private back entrances. I ve seen a number of celebrities since I moved here 4 years ago and they weren t where you would expect. Disneyland, Cinespia, the grocery store, both Getty Museums, ArcLight, Terranea Resort, various beaches and at inexpensive restaurants with friends or family.
You dont see celebrities in Hollywood. That is a myth. Hollywood is basically just an industrial town, except that the industry is entertainment instead of, say, coal mining. If you are thinking that celebs are all over the streets of Hollywood, think again. First of all, most studios are not even in Hollywood. Second, most celebrities, especially the A-list type, protect their privacy. They rarely go out in public unless there is an event in which they are appearing. Just because you see a celebrity on Entertainment Tonight for two weeks running, dont get the impression that they are just sitting around at Starbucks waiting to sign autographs. Occasionally one can be seen, but it is rare. Celebrities do shop, eat out, and pick up movies at Blockbuster, but it is rare to spot one. If you do happen to see one out in public, the proper etiquette is to leave them alone. Don t scream, gush, ask for an autograph, or try to talk to them. Some are nice about it, but you could find yourself quickly removed from the premises. Most often, they can be spotted dining out, shopping, or doing other mundane things. Many times, they are dressed down, wearing jeans, tees, sunglasses, and a hat. If you want to try spotting one, try these spots:The IveySpago Gelsons MarketPinks Hot DogsCanters DeliSporting events- Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, and Angels gamesDont try to get into one of the nightclubs they hang out in. Youll never get past the velvet rope unless you have a few Benjamins to throw at the doorman. But if you had that kind of dough, I doubt you would be hanging around this forum.
you could probably have a better chance of seeing one at Gelsons in Encino or Studio City than seeing one on Sunset or Rodeo. I saw a very famous one At CVS in hollyweird, a few years ago. Saw another one at the Airport.. Both of them were rather tacky, and nothing I would bring home to meet the folks.
Agree..if you want to see celebs don t go to Sunset Blvd. I ve see a few at the Arclight movie theatre. You can always try the Starbucks on Wilshire Blvd/Santa Monica blvd. There s an agency office across the street, so can sometimes spot someone going to an appointment.
i was in LA earlier this year from new zealand.. soooo excited to get to all these places and see some celebs... when i saw sunset boulevard i thought i had gone to the wrong sunset boulevard and there a better one up the road.... laugh my *** off about it now
Your chances of seeing any celebrities in public are next to zero.I ve lived in the LA area for 9 years and have seen exactly one. Most of the time, when the celebs go out in public you would not recognize them anyway.
Sunset... doubtful... Rodeo... higher likely hood... you can also try The Grove for a better chance... but no... celebrities don t roam all over and you don t bump into them walking down the street (unless it s a very weird random thing)
LOL - wait till you see Sunset Boulevard - you will crack up at this questionIf you have some desire to see actors you will have a better job at it in Beverly Hills - but still a long shot.
Rodeo. You ll see far more hobos (often missing a limb for some strange reason) than celebs on Sunset.
HA! HA! HAAA!!!
