greyhound busses stop right in times square in the port authority and by amtrak, the train station is 10 blocks away or a very short subway ride.

New York s only Amtrak station is Penn Station, which you can exit at 34th Street/7th Avenue, near the 1/2/3 trains and Long Island Rail Road ticket windows.Times Square is at 42nd Street/7th Avenue, so it s between a 5 and 10-minute walk from Penn Station to Times Square.As for Greyhound, you can get it to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is at 42nd Street/8th Avenue, one long block from Times Square.

Amtrak arrives at Penn Station.Walk out of the station via the 8th avenue exit. That s the one with the large bank of excalators.When you get to the street, turn left and walk to 42nd Street.
