I have an 8 hour layover in Miami this month and wanted to leave the airport. Whats around there to go see? -

I m thinking somewhere nice for lunch, or an attraction not too far out.

I just posted the same question. I will update you with my answers. This is a answer I got from someone hope it helps:Well, you have some time to kill, but it s not like you have the whole day to go to South Beach or something, so I would suggest you spend a couple of hours at Bayside Marketplace, which is right by the entrance to the Port of Miami. This is an outdoor mall, right on the water s edge; plenty of shops, restaurants and often outdoor entertainment, depending on the time/day.Or, if you want to venture a little further (but still within easy distance to the Port) you could cab it to Coconut Grove...just stroll around the area; again some shopping, good restaurants, etc. A little less commercial than the stores at Bayside, and a little more unique. But a further distance away - but still do-able.Personally, I would just stick with Bayside; you won t have as much time as you think if you are just landing at 10:00 a.m. Miami is a busy, congested city to get around so you don t really have time to travel too much away from the Port.If push came to shove and you really wanted to see South Beach, you could cab it the extra distance (keeping in mind cab fare in Miami is very expensive) and check out Ocean Drive. You wouldn t have time to really do much but you could check out the neat art deco hotels and see the ocean at least. Just keep mindful of the time.

star island is sick you should cheek it out, but I am going to move there pretty soon, now please answer my question its about Miami trying to find a good place for living.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AimJMDEsfk0MfGuEveAovW7sy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20091207184608AA5WzROplezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Things to do in Boston, MA in February? -

I know it is going to be cold, but I want to go to Boston at the beginning of Feb. What is there to do for fun. I do not want to spend the whole trip inside. I am 28 and like to have, but don t want to be doing tons of museums and such.

Not much outdoor fun activities going on then inside the city. Unlike Montreal or Quebec, there s no real winter carnival type of thing. Here s a couple of outside the city events though:http://www.lowellwinterfest.org/Usually one in Newburyport, watch: http://www.bartletmall.org/

James,Take a look at our Boston Events Calendar. It s full of things to do in Boston. We maintain listings of all kinds of fun and interesting events going on in the Boston area. You can sort it by category and by date. New events are being added all the time so make sure you check back before your trip.Enjoy your trip!

Ha ha. In February, you will pretty much be spending the whole time inside. It s too cold to be outside. Sorry Dude, But I have a lifetime of experience when it comes to New England winters. Sorry Dude. but if you want to be outside in Boston, come in the summer

Check ticket master for concerts and in door events such as hockey game, blue man concert, comedy showsalso can check MFA, Science Museum, 3D at New England aquarium, Top of Hub

Places to Rapel near San Francisco? -

I m hear til Feb. I live in Sunnyvale and I am looking for somewhere close to go rapelling

Rock City in Mount Diablo State Park is one popular place. Probably there s somewhere closer to you, but I don t know it.

Club Six DANCE CLUB60 Sixth Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 Cover: free to $7Rap music and soul jams illuminate this place and the sofas in the lounge upstairs add to the atmosphere. Most nights there is no cover charge, but when the guards are standing watch in order to stymy the smelly homeless folk and keep them away while also keeping all the scantily-clad females in, the cover may be as much as $7. And dont let the term dive bar chase you away. The SoMa district may be the industrial district with the homeless and their shelters and missions, but once inside this bar maintains a certain low-key brilliance that must be experienced at least once. The babes inside are hot, too!Neighborhood: Nob Hill1160 Polk Street(between Hemlock St Sutter St) San Francisco, CA 94109(415) 674-1278
