How do you have a Merry Christmas in LA? -

You guys all have a healthy and happy holiday!

Thanks Copestir, I will be here until after Christmas.....Went shopping yesterday at Kitson for some great gifts...

I don t live in LA, but I have a Merry Christmas at my grandmother s house where the whole family (and unfortunately the relatives by marriage are included) join together, pray a rosary, and open presents.May you have a Merry one yourself and a Happy New Years too might I add!______Sunshine - LMAO! My mom just made tamales today!! My grandma is probably making 144,000 right now!

Cope , you make me laugh. What a clever side note to your QUESTION. To answer your QUESTION, I celebrate the fact that we live in a free country where we all get along and give people of different religious denominations the RESPECT to celebrate their particular beliefs without being SO PETTY as to be OFFENDED because they are different from our own. Hint, Hint to all you Politically Correct police.May you, and yours have a very Merry (that word we aren t allowed to say because it offends some NARROW MINDED people).

By eating a ton of tamales and getting drunk with my cousins! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year while you re at it!

Just hang out with family and friends...Mmmm... tamales... I gotta get down to Juanito s!

Since my nearest family is 1100 miles away I spend it with friends. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas too.

First, go to L.A. Enjoy. Repeat. And thank your lucky stars you re not in Michigan. It s butt-cold here!

I am going to Newyork in Jan, can anyone tell me where to visit apart from NY , Such as Philadelphia? -

or areas nearby ? That are in a reasonable distance to visit even Washington, and how do i get there such as the train and prices, is it possible to get to Ohio and what is the quickest route or is it to far and how much would it cost via public transport, may thanks

The large cities on the east coast (Boston, Philadelphia, Washington) are very easy to get to via public transportation from NY. The train is quicker but the bus is less expensive.Of course it s possible to get to Ohio, but I believe your only option would be the bus.If you re looking to get prices and/or time estimates, I suggest you look at greyhound.com (for the bus) and amtrak.com (for the train).

To go from the East to Ohio there is of course bus options. But depending upon what city you are leaving from Southwest Airlines might be cheaper. For 10 each way you can take a bus to Philadelphia, for 20-30 you can take a bus to Wash D.C., probably the same to Boston.

Going to usa on holiday and hotel itinerary says run of house what does this mean please? -

All rooms are the same price and you will be given the best available.

Are you going to a hotel or are you renting a house or apartment? My understanding of having the run of the house means that you are free to use all the rooms in the building nothing will be locked up or restricted. Doesn t really apply to a hotel.

The best state to live in? -

I m 22 and planning on leaving home soon. But I m so sick of the hot, humid, miserable St. Louis summers. I m looking into states that have long winters with snow, and cooler less humid summers. Any suggestions?

Look to the west. Colorado/Wyoming/Montana/Utah/Idaho all have very dry climates. Summers in this region can be hot, but without the humidity it isn t as oppressive as what your used to.The longest, snowiest winters are in the northeast, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, but those states also have humidity.

I think the best place to live is Pennsylvania, personally. Winters can be cold from December through mid March. August can be humid, but the heat is not terrible. The most important thing is cities like Philadelphia are bike friendly, have excellent mass transit, affordable living, and jobs. You can escape on the weekends to the Poconos for snow and the Jersey Shore for beaches.

Trust me, you do NOT want cold winters with lots of snow. The cold hurts, and the snow causes nothing but trouble. Trust me, I have lived in New England my whole life, and I m eager to get outta here and to someplace much warmer. And after 4 months of long cold winter, you want it to end.

Florida! It s sunny and warm all year around.. It might be humid, but you are never further than an hour from a beach to cool off! No snowy winters to worry about and it s just really beautiful weather...

don t come to michigan we get humid in the summer cause of the great lakes and we have over 11,000 inland lakes. try Bend Oregon

Texas

Cane spider in hawaii question? -

We are going to Maui in january... I am so afraid to encounter a cane spider.. does anyone know on what side of the island they mostly hang out??? Or anyone that live in Hawaii, how often do you encounter one??? Any info on them will help me out!

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/35/707917I say just try not to be a little girl about it. Step on it if you see it.

They are pretty much everywhere in hawaii. Your more likely to see a cane spider than you are to see blue skies. You can count on seeing one probably in your bed too.

there is no kangraroos in hawaii

Is There A Behind The Scenes Type Thing At The Denver Aquarium? -

i would like to take my brother to a behind the scenes thing at the Denver Aquarium but im not sure that they do something like that. Does anyone know if they do? and if so how much would it be?

I am not sure but you can call them 303.561.4450

Do you mean the Downtown Aquarium? Denver Aquarium is a restaurant. The Downtown Aquarium has a volunteer education foundation called Deep Blue Sea Foundation. I suggest you check with them to see what programs they might be offering.http://www.volunteermatch.org/search/org
