United Palace Theater in New York City - stage door, anyone? -

I have never attended a show here before and my friend and I are willing to wait for as long as it takes to get an autograph from a favorite performer of ours (if he will oblige). Does anyone with experience at the venue know where it s located and/or have experiences with it?Thank you!

Well, until someone comes along with a better answer I ll chime in.The theater is in Washington Heights at the corner of 175th Street and Broadway. To get there you can take the A train to 175th St. and head east. Ticketmaster has more travel info here: http://www.ticketmaster.com/United-Palac[Meanwhile, some interesting places nearby are the remnants of the Audubon Ballroom (Broadway at 165th Street) where Malcolm X was shot, High Bridge Park, the Pinehurst staircase, the George Washington Bridge and the Little Red Lighthouse (pedestrian access from 181st St.).]Here s the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_PalaAnd here s a map with Street View showing where it is: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q source=sThere may be a service entrance on 176th St. which is the stage door you re looking for.
