What is there to do on Oahu? -

I m going to Hawaii this winter and i would like to know I should do. Any suggestions? I m under age so no bars or clubs.

alot of movies and tv shows like LOST is filmed there, you can probably take a tour of the set.

WOW, this is gonna be a long list bro, and I live here, so you rely on this list:1. go visit windward coast right now, waves around 30to predicted 50 feet. Eddie Aikau baby!2. visit pearl harbor memorials(Arizona Memorial, Ford Island Aviation Museum, Battleship), USA was drawn into WWII because of this historic area, its part of nation s history.3. visit waikiki, garauntee you ll find something interesting.4. sorry, no LOST or anything, they re done here.5. you can visit wet n wild if you dont mind waterparks6 if your comming over during new years, theres no snow like mainland, so buy LOTS OF FIREWORKS (pipe bombs are fine too, jk)7. kualoa ranch, jurassic park was filmed here8. go to beach everyday, just be sure to share the waves and dont act TOO haole..9. hiking is always a blast, diamond head trail is popular with tourists and kama aina alike10. someone else actually mentioned catching The Bus around the island, which isn t really a bad idea. just be prepared for lots of transfers. 11. try stand up paddle boarding, its quickly becoming a new fad, and its easy to learn12. if you can get a car, which may be hard since your under 25, just driving past the old sugar cane fields while looking at the beach in the distance is extremely fun and relaxing.13. idk of anymore right now...hope you may take some of these into suggestion

In the northern most of the island in a town called Laie, there is the living museum Polynesian Cultural Center. That is one thing. Also, there s Pearl Harbor (well, what do you know: this answer is written on 7 Dec. which is the anniversary of the Harbor s attack in 41 by Japan).

Here are some things to look at.http://www.hawaiiweb.com/html/duke_kahan Oahu Island site views.http://www.thisweek.com/ maghttp://www.honolulu.gov/multimed/wme.asp Live cam Waikiki beach, City and County of Honolulu

for like $3 you can take a bus on a 2 hour circle trip around the whole island, make sure to stop at the north shore and check out the giant 20 foot waves that they get in the winter.

Van nuys suprior court HELP!? -

does any one know how to change a court date?!?!?! I ve been calling a number for the court but no one has answered it so I think I got the wrong phone number...please if you know anything that can help it would be greatly appreciated

You are correct. The telephone number listed for court information is SELDOM ever answered. You would probably need to go to the court house in person to request a different date.It s part of Social Engineering . The entire system is designed to be as difficult as possible to encourage you NOT to want to come to court again. Psychologists call it Behavior Modification .

Total Rewards points for booking a room in Vegas? -

I signed up for Total Rewards when I was in Vegas in September, and we are going back in March. I logged into my account and booked a room at Caesar s, and was wondering how it will work for points? Is it dollar for dollar? Are points even earned?Any info would be much appreciated!

Each casino has their own way of figuring points value. Normally points aren t used to pay for rooms. Hotels will offer you room discounts based on how your gambling habits have been in the past.

I m not sure if people here understand your question (or maybe I don t), so here goes...You earn points on these reward cards by gambling only. You can eat, sleep, drink, etc. all you want at a Vegas resort, but the only time they give you points and offers is when you re gambling. However, with total rewards and mgm players club, you can log on to their websites and find all kinds of room deals, regardless of your point balance. That s why I always tell my friends to sign up for as many of these cards as you can whenever you re in vegas (as long as you don t mind the occasional email or junk mail). Hope this helps.Hope you have fun in Vegas! I m going there over Xmas and I can t wait!!!

Every Harrah s point is worth one cent. 100 points are worth $1.00.So if the room is $100.00, you would need 10,000 points.EDIT: If you want to earn the points on the room, you get 1 reward point for every dollar, and one tier credit for every five dollars.

Not dollar for dollar. You probably don t have enough points to convert for even one night, sorry. You earn one point for every two dollars you bet and usually it takes 5,000 points for a dollar value

Is La alot different from living in manhattan? -

im moving to la from mahattan. How diferent is it? is hockey a big sport in la?What is the atmosphere i hear it is more laid back and cheaper. What is a typical girl like?

You ve asked this same question so many times you should already have a good idea. There is NOTHING in Los Angeles for you. Please stay in Manhattan. It s NOTHING like you see portrayed on stupid television programs

Coming from NY to LA is going to be different. Sunshine most of the year (i wear flip flops 10 out of 12 months) Hockey is not a major sport but the Kings and the Ducks do have a good fan base, the games are kind of hectic (fan rivalries). There is so much to do in LA it s almost impossible to do it all. People here are laid back and in my opinion like to talk a lot and joke around. The girls are interesting, we have so many different types of females for all tastes, whatever you like. But most LA girls come across as stuck up and gold diggers, so please don t come with corny lines, we don t like that and we won t bother :0)!!! Good luck with your move and I hope you enjoy LA just don t get too caught up in the hollywood night life, it can be addicting!

Hockey? Nobody cares about hockey here. Even when the local teams win. As already mentioned, the Lakers and Dodgers are the big teams here. And the Angels, if you wind up in the OC. Yes, LA is more laid back than Manhattan. Everything s more spread out, so you have to drive further. The traffic is rotten.I don t think there is such a thing as a typical girl . There s a LOT more variety here, not only with the girls, but with everything else. You can toss out your ice scraper and snow shovel, as well as any rock salt you might have. Ask anyone here what rock salt is for, and they ll tell you it s for putting on french fries.

L.A. is 499 square miles/ Ny is 24 square miles.....Which is bigger???You grow up following the sports you play. Ice Hockey? No way. Baseball and B-Ball are the L.A. games. Is L.A. more layed back? Of course. We are not rats in a cage with personal and economic axes to grind. At least we have room to move around unlike New Yorkers.Your apartment which costs $4600 in Ny will be $1600 here. Or a good buy apt. will be like $3000 NY and $1400 L.A. NYC is so overpriced and so are the wages paid there. But it s all relative.I was born in NYC and grew up in in SoCal. It is different. In winter you don t have to shovel sunshine. Not every conversation evokes a negotiation or a hustle like in NYC. People are frendlier.

your information is correct. it is a lot more laid back. there is still a lot of really bad traffic but nothing compared to what you are used to in manhattan. also it is not quite as densly packed as manhattan. weather is better too. it s definetely an adjustment for sure

yeah, i hear its alot worse.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5mwWPyuBIc feature=PlayList p=2168E931E3805CAD playnext=1 playnext_from

VERY.It s not humid like Manhattan. It s not cold like Manhattan. It s cheaper than Manhattan.Hockey is not a big sport in LA. Basketball and baseball is (LA Lakers, Dodgers.)

Yeah obviousman_2001got it all right I agree with that dude. GO Lakers!!!!!!!!!! GO Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you ll like it here better.

ya its different cause LA is way bigger.

How much do moving companies charge to move from San Francisco to LA? -

I m moving from SF to LA soon. Does anyone know how much moving companies charge to move to LA? (It s a 2 bedroom apartment). I don t want to ask for quotes online because they ask you for your phone #, address and such before they ll even give you an estimate.

It will be dependent on the amount of stuff you have to move, and each moving company will be a little different. A rough estimate based on size of your place will likely be done by sq footage, not rooms. If you want an estimate, give them your info. Better yet - call them. Most will come over to give you a more accurate estimate. They re gonna need to know your information eventually, so I don t really see the problem with giving it to them upfront.

You re better off giving them all the information and getting the estimate from the companies you re considering. You ll want to take a look at the CPUC website. Movers are regulated in California. Read the Maximum Rate Tariff 4 document on their site. It tells you the maximum they can charge for any particular service.

My husband is thinking about going orlando flordia for the motorcycle machanics institute whats it like? -

hi my family and i are thinking about moving my family from ohio to orlando flordia so my husband can go to the motorcycle machanics institute. i have never been that far away from ohio before and i need information on that area ! please . how much money should i take down with me ? and is it a ok place for a 2 year old ?also how is the school? thank you ......

Hey, I don t know much about Orlando but I will tell you this. The MMI thing is NOT worth it. Look it up and you ll see that much of the training they receive is not preferred by dealers. I swear I m not saying this to burst your bubble. But this is a fair warning. Because I ve looked it up. It s not cheap and then he won t be making that much money. Basically what they advertise is a bunch of bull. Do some more research on it please!

well it was voted the angriest city in America a few years ago, lol. I lived there for a little over 2yrs. My husband is from there and we lived northeast of downtown Orlando. I m not sure what part of Orlando this school is so I can t really tell you about the area. The Orlando area is large. If you could give me a specific area I could tell you more. downtown is nice, there is a lot to do with a 2yr. old. It s about 30-45minutes from the beach depending on where you live. Kissimmee is south of Orlando and is where all the theme parks are. the farther you go into kissimmee, the less populated it is and the cheaper it is to live. I imagine there will be a big difference in the cost of living between Ohio and Orlando. Avg. rent for a 2bed apt. is about 800 but you can rent a 3bedroom house for less than 800 in kissimee. Traffic is pretty horrible. Florida is not ranked high in the education department. out of the 50 states its ranked somewhere in the 40 s. I don t know the current ranking but it s been between 45-50 for awhile. Florida is a big state though and not all the schools suck. Bigger the area the more overcrowding, the suckier the school.

Is there such thing as a giant p:o box? -

im going to texas where im going to pick up a load of fstuffed animals for only a 1.00 apiece and start selling them back in florida and online is there a place i could send about 15 huge boxes that can store them for me untile i get back

15 huge boxes? no not many people will do that for you. and transporting them through fedex will be expensive. stick as many as you can in your car and drive them back otherwise it will cut into your profit

Send them in care of yourself to one of the many mailboxes or parcel post stores (FedEx Kinkos, UPS, etc.) The delivery truck already goes there and they ll have the space. Why not send to an acquaintance in TX? Use the spare bedroom or garage for a day, buy them dinner for the trouble and head out?
