Nope but its not the hotel, its the person that takes your reservation. He/She can be cool or a jerk. I did it as caesar palace and got a jacuzzi room for free which would of cost me an extra $100 bucks a night! You sandwich the $20 bill between your drivers license and credit card, but no i havent stayed at the PH yet to try!

That trick is a cruel joke. The only way to upgrade a room is to pay for it or deal with the hotel manager. The desk clerk has NO authority, money or not.

We re looking to rent a cabin in the mountains, preferably where there s a good chance of snow, during the xmas to new years week. Where other than Idyllwild, Mountain High and Big Bear should we be looking? We d be willing to drive up to 8 hours from Los Angeles.

If you are talking about an eight hour drive - Mammoth Lakes and Sequoia/Kings National Park both easily meet your time/drive requirements.Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort is in Mammoth Lakes so you go skiing and snowboarding, etc.Seqouia should have some snow after the current storm that is coming through right now.My personal choice would be Sequoia/Kings because it is much prettier from a natural perspective than Mammoth and a whole lot less busy with traffic and crowds. Wolverton Ski Resort is in Sequoia. Also Sequoia is much, much, much less expensive. If you are hardy soul you can probably even find winter camping sites.

Both Mammoth Mountain and Lake Tahoe are within 8 hours (ok Tahoe might be right around 8 hours) and have BEAUTIFUL snow and scenery. Real, powdery snow, not the frozen ice chips of Big Bear and Mountain High.

What s the cheapest place way to live in Portland, Oregon? I will only be there for about a month and don t wanna rent. Are there any camping alternatives?

There is no legal camping near the city. If you have wheels, there are some campgrounds 10 to 20 miles outside the city center. If you have a boat, kayak, etc., you can camp on Government Island near PDX airport.A hostel membership and a 30 day stay would cost about $700 at http://www.nwportlandhostel.com/ a very nice location��though parking is a problem there. You can get a room for rent at a downtown hotel for $120 a week. Actually, it s been a long time since I have been there so I don t know how much. Look on Craigslist.org. Or, you can go to Portland and join a gym so you can work out and shower every day, and then find some out of the way place to camp.

You should look for a house rental. There are lot of choices for rentals in the WA area. It s best to do your homework and use online research to find available places to stay that fit within your budget.Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking a few nights stay.

The best way is to sublet for a month from Craigslist. I did it once in exchange for cat-sitting. There are others like that. You can try Extended Stay America for a month or the Homestead Suites. That hotel for $120 downtown Portland is not very nice.

You can always be a bum on the street! Thats pretty cheap!

and i cant stand it here where i am at . I am between orlando and miami. I moved from colorado and just came without knowing what to expect ... i am in a town here there is no young people. all old. no mall nothing. i was thinking about leaving here and gong to vegas? would you suggest going somewhere else here in florida that i may like? i checked out tampa and it looked run down .
