Where can I find a map of Idaho, 1mile = 1 mile scale (folded please)? -

1 mile is 1 mile? thats gonna be a biiiiiiig map. no wonder you want it folded!

Try your local AAA (Automobile Association of America) office. You might have to pay a small fee for it if you are not a member. If you live in Idaho, your local Chamber of Commerce may have something like that.I don t think you want 1 mile = 1 mile scale unless you want your map to be as big as the state of Idaho.

USGS 15 minute-series topographical contour maps work out to about 1 =1mile

What is Life Like in Bostion, Massechusetts? -

I think that s how you spell it.Hi, this is Frankie s friend. I will be be going to college in Boston, and I was wondering if it s a good location or not. Is it cold? If so, how cold can it get? How warm can it get? Are there any good shops, restaurants, etc.? All together, is it a good place to be? What s good about it?Thanks youu. :]

Massachusetts - best learn to spell it correctly. Boston is the biggest college town in the America, if not the world. In my opinion, if you are ok with an urban setting for college, you can t do better than Boston. There are several major colleges in the Boston metro area - Boston College, Boston University, Harvard, Tufts, North Eastern, various U Mass campus , Holy Cross, Berkley school of music - just to name a very few.Cold - right now it s in the 20 s. It will get colder in January and February. Also you can usually plan on a few snow storms dropping 20+ inches of snow on the city over the course of the winter. How hot, in July/August we get some days in the 90s, rarely does it hit a 100. The biggest heat issue is when the humidity is high and it s 90 degrees - that is oppressive. Good shops...a yea. Restaurants, the gamut from road side dives to the highest end gourmet. Unlike most American cities, Boston has a personality. Some web sites and boston things to google - boston.com, boston magazine, boston phoenix, faneuil hall, newbury street, north end boston

Boston is a very small city. You can walk from one end to the other in a couple of hours or less.Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a great place for restaurants and shops. The North End has some of the best Italian restaurants in the city.It gets bitterly cold here in the winter ,and very hot in the summer. It s an awesome city with tons of culture, history, art, theatre, and beauty. We have a wonderful subway system that will take you wherever you want to go for cheap money.Stay away from surrounding towns such as Roxbury,Mattapan, and Dorchester. If you stay in the city, you are fine.Welcome!

I love Boston. It gets pretty cold here in the winter, in the teens sometimes and possibly even less if it s windy, but rarely. In the summer it gets pretty warm, high 90s.There are many good shops and restaurants. It s a good place to be. IDK, it s just a good city, always something to do and somewhere to go.

My dad grew up around Boston, Mass. I think he lived there until college when he came to TCU (Texas Christian University). I have gone several times and I love it! Yes, it does get cold, but I guess I m biased because I kind of like the cold. The people in Boston are very friendly, most of New England is for that matter. This chart will give you the monthly average high temps. and low temps.http://www.accuweather.com/us/ma/boston/Overall, I think Boston is an amazing place and I wouldn t mind going to college there. I love it.

haha actually it s spelled Boston, Massachusetts.but anyway it is a good location, if you go to the right places, you might wanna stay out of certain parts but you ll find that out once you get there.and yeah it s cold, verrry cold. it s a lovely place to be i thinnk, i ve been here all my life (:

bad for small children, good for me =)

Any one give me usa uk canada or sponser me visa? -

Any one help me for sponsor me UK,USA,Canada visa i have lot of experience in computer hardware?here our ****** political leader eat all money that provide foreign country like USA where i go any one help me for this problem i am honest hard worker any company owner trust me and give me visa i have no money for visa and ticket ,Any security company accountancy company etc give me job no any here help me and no in yahoo answer any person help me and not give me real thing i want to marry a girl no any one consent for marriage where i go i want to make happy girl because girl have lot of problems yo know where i go give me true talk thanks?

You ll have trouble finding a sponsor because most jobs arent hiring anyone, and there are 31 Million people unemployed in the USA right now. One job opening for every 6 people looking for a job.So, with a huge amount of people looking, no one is going to sponsor someone from another country. You become responsible for that person, and who would take that on that needed obligation, if there s people in your own city looking for work. Its a bad time to ask for this. UK and Canada are in a similar situation. Most of the world is having economic trouble, in fact.

When will the Goo Goo Dolls come to Chicago? -

They were here this past August at the Park West, but unfortunately (for you) as of now they have no 2010 tour dates lined up.I hear they re busy working on a new album which is tenatively titled, Something For The Rest Of Us .

I have to agree with Michael; hopefully never. Why one would ever subject oneself to such torture is baffling

Hopefully, never. They suck the big one

When I went to Seattle last Christmas, I stayed at the Green Tortoise Hostel. Its a pretty cool place, right next to pike place market. One of my favorite restaurant while I was there was at the Crab Pot, which is inside Pike Place market.

North and South Carolina? -

Why are North Carolina and South Carolina separate states if they were liberated from the British together? They were also, if I recall my history correctly, both on the Confederate side during the US Civil War so the separation seem quite odd. Is there an actual reason?

North Carolina and South Carolina were actually separated by Queen Anne when Carolina was still a British colony. By 1776, they both had a history of being independent colonies. All the colonies were treated as equals during the Revolution. So they remained separate and equal.

way back when SC and NC were just colonies, all of these rich folks decided to go to America. Rather than taking slaves with them, they took indentured servants (po folk who couldn t afford to go to America on their own ticket). So, the indentured servants worked off their debt and moved to NC while the rich folk stayed in SC. The ex-indentured servants didn t want to have anything more to do with the rich folk so they made their own colony. However, they were proud enough of their roots that they named it after the rich folks colony.

they was separated because the south wanted slavery the north didn t

How do you Afford moving from ny to la while in college? -

hi i am 18 yrs old and i am in college in new york city. i am looking to transfer to a school in california los angeles. how do people who lived in different states transfer to another state where they are on their own paying rent utilities and all other bills that may come like food and car expenses able to pay all that on a minimum wage job. I plan on living with 2 other people to cut some of these expense down but its still is expensive. please can i get some serious replies thanks you

Really? It got more expensive? I would assume cheaper as NYC is more expensive than LA.Plus, good luck even trying to find a job. You will not immediately find a job here. Not to mention that your tuition rates are going to up through the roof!

The ONLY way to do this is by having very rich parents, or an unlimited trust fund.Perhaps you aren t up on current events. California is broke. Schools (colleges, universities) here have taken a BIG hit financially. Class sizes have been reduced, or in some cases eliminated, admissions standards were made more restrictive, some forms of financial aid were eliminated, and tuition rates were raised twice this year, and will raise another 32% next year. You would also be paying the astronomical non resident tuition rates that are 2 1/2 times what a Californian (or illegal alien) pays. Stay in the CUNY system, it s DRAMATICALLY less expensive.

In a word, you don t. You need a plan: First item on the agenda is rent. A decent 1BR apartment in LA currently goes for $1200, give or take. Nicer areas and areas closer to the beach are much higher. Don t expect to move to Santa Monica and get an apartment on the beach for that much. Or Toluca Lake, or Beverly Hills. Next, you will need a car. Los Angeles is VERY spread out, and train service is extremely limited. If you don t have a car, you will have to take a bus, which takes 3 times longer to get anywhere than a car. All told, it generally takes about $3,000 per month to live here. If you don t have a job that pays that much or skills that can get you that kind of job, stay where you are. If you are unskilled and work for minimum wage (or for tips like bartending or waiting tables), you ll only make about $1200 per month. And speaking of jobs, they are rather hard to come by now. College grads seeking employment are having a very tough time of it right now, since the job market is flooded with experienced people who were laid off. Unemployment is over 12% right now. Not exactly the kind of job market you want to move into. Finally, you will need money. Landlords want first month s rent and a security deposit up front. You ll need money for food, transportation, utilities, etc. The consensus in this forum is that you need about $7500 to start out.So there s your plan. And please don t tell us that you have dreams of being an actor or singer. That sets off another alarm. We already have a million (literally) wannabe actors in this town. Dont even get me started.
