Sunset in george bush park of houston tx? -

ok so my boyfriend has never seen a sunset in his whole life *can you believe it?* i have been looking at different places/ideas to watch a sunset and on the account he hasnt ever seen one i would like it to be a good place in either the katy or houston texas area. i came across the george bush park in houston i have never been there and it doesnt seem to far away from where i am it is one place i am considering but i am open minded so any other ideas would be great thanks!!

Driving west down I-10, somewhere between the aptly named Flatonia and Seguin will have a pretty sunset.

You probably want a place that doesn t have so many trees. But that s probably a duh! for you already. I would stay nearer Katy where you won t have as many trees along the horizon. (The revolving restaurant in downtown Houston is the Hyatt. But you still don t see the sun go behind the horizon. You just see the sun disappearing behind buildings and trees.) Find a place you can see the actual horizon.

I agree with William K, go West. G. Bush Park is a nice place. Even SW over to the banks of the Brazos River, that could be a pretty place for a sunset.

or eleanor tinsley parkor the highest building in dowtown houston,i dont remember the name, but it has a revolving restaurant on the top.

yes thats a good place, i live in katy and it is not too far away and it is beautiful.

Car or Suv rental from NY to Florida in the snow? -

I want to rent a car or suv from NY to Florida during December. Not sure about using a car up north because the cars don t have snow tires, as for Suv AWD I don t mind but now snow tires on those either, I don t think they can give you snow tires right? I would like to rent a car because it s cheaper, and they usually sometimes clear the highways, and I m only driving through snow until I get to I guess North Carolina?

There s no guarantee that there would even be snow in December. And if you plan on driving down I-95, there is no need for snow tires or AWD. Just get a car, you ll have to stop less to fuel up.

Hi. I get the impression you haven t spent much time in New York. It doesn t usually snow much in downstate NY in December, and when it does we have these things called snow plows that remove the snow from the road. Particularly on major highways, any car in reasonable shape will be fine. If you were planning to drive around on dirt roads in the Adirondacks I d suggest something with all-wheel drive, but not to drive down I-95.Also, although it is common to rent a car at one place in Florida and give it back somewhere else, that s not common elsewhere, and you will pay a large surcharge to return it in Florida. Hertz, for example, will charge about $600 for three days or $700 for a week for a car from NY to Miami.Since you can often find plane tickets from NY to Miami for $99, why would you want to drive?

definetly get an SUV if you plan on driving through the snow!!

Things to do in New York in December? -

I m planning a weekend trip to NYC over the weekend of Dec, 18th. I m looking for fun, preferably inexpensive things to do while I m there. Besides the obvious; the ferry to the statue of liberty, the cathedral, and all that jazz. I m mostly looking for anything a tourist site wouldn t mention- cool places in the city native New Yorkers know about or any parties or raves that might be going on at the time.Muchas Gracias

Definitely go to Rockefeller. Right across the street from there the building is filled with snowflake lights. After about every 10minutes it plays. It is so fun. I live in New York but I always go to see it. I also suggest you go to Time Square it has great lightings and everything. You should also go to central park. I am not sure if the Natural History Museum will still be open but if it is definitely go there, Madame Tussuad s Wax Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art. Definitely go on subway. It is a pretty cool experience for tourists. We always take our friends there from other states.I hope this helps

What is a good salary for living comfortably in Hawaii? -

I want to live in Hawaii, but I know its very, very expensive. So what is a good salary if I want to live comfortably in Hawaii, not having to struggle to buy food and gas. I just want to be an average person there. I dont want money to be a huge problem. I understand having to cut back once in a while, but for the most part I want to just be able to go for a smoothie when I want and buy that really cute shirt, even if I dotn NEED it. Thanks!

Aloha - to answer your question, be sure to do your research. What I ve found is median income to live comfortably (not rich, not poor) is between $58,000 and $60,000. So you ll want to make sure to have skills that will help you find a career in a substantial field to achieve that level. You can probably do with less but this is what I found in my reading, to answer your questionBest wishes!
