What is the best section for Cirque Du Soliel Mystere at Treasure Island in Las Vegas? -

http://ti.admission.com/html/seatmap.htmI?l=EN CNTX=77035 C=US

I ve recently seen Mystere @ Treasure Island and had a blast. During the show the closest rows to the stage get to be a part of the show and some of the stage actors randomly pick audience members to be a part of the show. No your necks won t be strained from watching you ll have the best view! =)Have Fun!!

You want the bottom section by the stage, center area if possible. Because there is a pre-game entertainment make sure you have a box of popcorn. And no you do not want right at the stage, more like 8 rows back. BTW all seats are good

What is one famous thing Kentucky is known for? -

I m doing a geography project about Kentucky. I know of course about Kentucky Fried Chicken and the Kentucky Derby, but what is one other reason anyone should visit Kentucky?

Abraham lincoln was born in Kentucky and they have lots of whiskey.

Certain parts of eastern Kentucky are famous for their poverty. There are some incredible horse farms around Lexington and other places. It s just a beautiful state with lots of hardwood forests. I think some or a lot of the mining that blows off the tops of the mountains to get to the coal goes on in Kentucky. It s called strip mining or surface mining, and a lot of it goes on in Kentucky. I imagine some of the beautiful sounding bluegrass musicians come from Kentucky. Mountain Dew mouth comes from drinking so much of the stuff that your teeth fall out.Getting High on Oxycontin.Chewing tobacco. Smoking leftover cigarette butts out of public ashtrays.Eating Doritos after they have hit the floor.

Mammoth Cave, Louisville Slugger Museum, Appalachian Mountains, Cumberland Falls, Churchill Downs, Mint Julip s, bourbon whiskey, Bluegrass. Kentucky is the place where the midwest, appalachia, and the south come together. Also, the song, My Old Kentucky Home.

Fort Knox, an Army base where the country s gold is stored underground. They also have museums open to the public. Also,Kentucky Horse Park near LexingtonBluegrass Music FestivalsSteam Driven Paddlewheel River Boats

Student exchange from Australia to America? -

are there any short term student exchanges?for about 3 - 4 months.

Short-term exchange:A short term exchange usually takes place during the summer months of July-August. Students do not attend school and are instead given a brief introduction to the language of their host country with heavy emphasis on sightseeing and cultural learning. Upon their return they are expected to give a short presentation on their experience to their sponsors. This program is quite popular with North American students, as school lets out at this time. Kiwanis and Lions Clubs usually offer this type of exchange. Rotary International also offers a program called R.O.S.E. (rotary overseas short-term exchange) where a student exchanges homes directly with another student of a foreign country at the same time.

UCLA Libraries Open To The Public, Please Help? -

Are any of UCLA s libraries open to the public? Would I be allowed to study at any of their libraries, even though I m not a student there? I ve searched everywhere and there aren t any other libraries in Los Angeles that stay open past 9pm, except the ones @ UCLA!Please help me if you have any info, thanks!!!

absolutely powell is open to the public. just remember to bring plenty of money for parking, and keep in mind that finals are coming up, so the library will be very crowded. i think you will need to purchase a temporary bruincard however in order to use the computers. there will be someone at the front desk if you have any questions about that. however, you do NOT need a bruincard to sit and study at a desk in the library.

yes..all college librarries are open to the public and have free internet and access to computers for free

I live in orlando and im sick and tired of this city and the whole state,i want to relocate to another city? -

with a better job market and a not so cold weather,i know the economy is bad everywhere but i heard nice things about charlotte and houston,i would appreciate answers from pepole who lived and worked in these cities, thanx to everybody.

I saw an article recently that said Houston was one of the better cities for jobs, but it can be expensive. You ll find that unless you have a specialized background in a field needed, you ll be in stiff competition for the few available general type jobs. TX like FL has no personal income tax, but NC does. Take that extra drain on a pay check into account when deciding on a city. Houston is much larger and has a more hectic life style than Orlando or Charlotte.

LOS ANGELES, CASEATTLEHOUSTON, TX

I agree... get the hell out... Florida sucks... I would say Charlotte of the two...

Who or what is responsible for the destruction of Detroit ? -

It doesn t matter how long Coleman Young has been dead, he s still the primary reason Detroit has transformed from a Great city into a decaying ruin. It was the Detroit government which turned away incoming business since there was already the auto business and no more was needed. It was Coleman Young that kept racial animosity alive as a base for his power.Even Kwame Kilpatrick was losing steam against Freeman until Kwame revived the Us vs Them campaign theme, even though the Them have long since left Detroit. Finally, Kwame s downfall was due to fostering the Gangsta mentality, which might be charismatic, but not at all productive for a city.Detroit was one of the Great Cities of the US, and could be again, except for two things. One is a stubborn adherence to a dream of the old days which have long since passed (50 years ago), and a current dream of revenge and entitlement for the remnants of inhabitants, a dream fostered by the enabling government in Lansing. If Detroit were considered to be a drug addict, Lansing would be considered the pusher.

The voters of Detroit who keep electing these idiots to office are responsible. how in the hell did kilpatric ever get into office as well as reelected. When the voters vote for responsible people the city will start to return to the great city it once was. Electing Dave Bing was a great start now back him up with some responsible city council members and see what happins.

I don t really see this as a travel question, but to quickly recap some reasons:1-After WW2, the suburbs were growing and the big 3 and their suppliers build more plants outside the city center. 2-GM bought up all the electric train/streetcar makers to end mass transport in many cities and sell gas buses and cars.3-US auto makers never took seriously Japanese imports, then the energy crisis of the 1970 s occurred and they were scrambling for more fuel efficient cars. They failed to innovate, as thus their suppliers failed to innovate.4- As the population of Detroit fell, the tax dollars left. Education, city services, and other areas suffered. 5-After 9/11, the big 3 bet the farm on SUVs and other gas guzzler cars.

There is not one thing or person that caused the down fall of Detroit. It has been a slow death spiral tied to the decline of our region s manufacturing based economy. As Michigan has one of the country s most unfriendly business climate (from labor cost and tax perspective), it will take a long time to turn it around.

the race riots started white flight and everythings been downhill sincemichigan needs to reinvent itself as a leader in technology, everything thus has been been industrial and that sort of work has fallen off as we don t consume products in the same ways, we need sustainable thinking to move detroit forward, green architecture and creative ideas.

well detroit at its height in the 50s was the 3rd largest city in country after new york and chicago but lots of factors made detroit fall from grace 1) decline of the auto industry detroit had become a global powerhouse during the first half of the century but as japan became solid Competition along with the big 3 deciding to open plants in other areas then detroit made for lots of ppl losing jobs2) drugs durin the 60s when detroit started declining heroin and other drugs spread through the streets like a wildfire then the 80s came and so did crack with drugs bein profitable crime went way up as a result3) corrupt government from the ex mayor using the city credit card to buy personal cars and clothes to him costing the city 8 million via a lawsuit to all the city council, and board of education members caught participating in shady deals4) no jobs as i said detroit was so dependent on the auto industry once that fell so did the economy lots of ppl lost jobs became homeless or crazy turning to a life of crime in order to survive as with how it is now a city with so much drugs, unemployment is always going to equal high crime ratesbut on a good note southwest detroit mexicantown area is the only part of the city where population is growing and businesses are flourishing

A FACT ABOUT DETROIT COLEMAN YOUNG DIDN T START THE down fall of this city. the get even with this city began with JOHN ENG LER the REPUBLICAN. GOVERNMENT, for 12 years,it started with the taking of our school by that republican govern our school was not in debt at that time when the state took them when we got control of them back the state had destroy the money FOR OUR SCHOOLS they took the THE MIL-AGE IN ( 1997) DENNIS ARCHER ,KW AME KIL PATRICK, THE PRESIDENT OF THE TEACHER UNION these are just few names that has push this city where it is today. when COLEMAN was mayor we had lots of tax paying BUSINESSES, and lots of small businesses here are few TARGET, K-MARTS,FARMER JACKS, HOME DEPORTS, THE RENAISSANCE CENTER DOWN TOWN THE NEW CENTER AREA beside the BIG( 3) that is just a few, before DENNIS ARCHER COLEMAN was still the mayor (3) casino WAS PASS BY THE VOTES he didn t live to see them open TO IGUANA please STOP HATE ON A MAN WHO HAS BEEN DEAD FOR OVER 10 YEARS it is not his fault that folk move. AS FAR AS THE BUSINESSES MOVING out it started before COLEMAN took office but that another story it wasn t by accident that what is happening in DETROIT is happening

The corrupt Democrats who run the city. The citizens who vote for them, and by doing so, give them the power they have. Many people in Detroit also seem not to care about their city, unfortunately.Detroit is a beautiful city though, full of character. It has a soul, that makes it a special place. In the past it used to be a jewel of corporate America (JCA) - start calling it this way: Detroit the JCA, and use this acronym with your friends and acquaintances. Once Detroiters believe in their city and its potential again, things might finally change for the best : )

lol, where do you want me to start?-Unfair Trade-L. Brooks Patterson-Coleman Young-Collapse Of The Auto Industry-White Flight-Uneven Distribution of Wealth-Lack of Mass Transit-Largest Black City In The Country-1967 Riots-Crack/Cocaine Epidemic-The Great Recession-Foreclosure Crisis-1980s Recession-Negative Media Attention -Brutal Winters-Undiversified Economy-Young/Educated Flocking Elsewhere-Overabundance Of Land-Auto Unions-Poor Urban Planning-The Construction Of Freeways-Racism-Xenophobia-Government Subsidies For Suburban Migration-The Great Depression (prevented several skyscrapers from ever being constructed)-Kwame Kilpatrick-The City Council-Jim Fouts-School Bus Integration (Back In The Early 1970s)-Cheap Housing In Some Neighborhood-High Taxes-Foreign Automakers-ReagonomicsAnd I could go on all night...

Coleman Young, he fostered animosity towards the suburbs, at a time when he should have embraced them, making Detroit more of a region than the king of the hill.

Crooked politicians, racism and, NAFTA are your primary causes. Everything else that contributed to the decay of Detroit easily falls underneath one of the three issues I stated.

Its called : General Motors and Ford! Put forth a good product and people will buy it! If not, the economy will sink....henceforth, Detroit!

1 - Poor educational system. The lack of education led to corrupt leadership who fosters ignorance to keep their pockets lined. Crabs in a barrel mentality.

you re responsible!

Where in Seattle is a good place to live? -

I know it rains a lot, and it is often cloudy, but that is my kind of setting. Where can I live in or around Seattle that is affordable? And how easy is it to get a job? Getting a job here in California is nearly impossible. I m planning on moving over there some time in mid to late 2010. Last but not least, besides the weather, what is it like in Seattle? Like how are the people and such.

A great place to live is Lynnwood, Edmonds, or Shoreline. They are very affordable and are about 20 minutes away from Seattle. Seattle doesn t rain as much as people think it does...or maybe I m just used to it..but the weather is pretty OK. In the summer it gets at a good temperature.Edit: people are cool too, safe city.

Helicopters flying over kenosha wisconsin every 15mins or more? -

Cabin Rentals in Big Bear, CA? -

What s a good website to find cabins in Big Bear, CA online? Thanks :)

I wouldn t put down a Yahoo search at all. Years ago, I searched for Big Bear vacation rentals , and came up with a wealth of info. We rented a rather nice house for the weekend, and it s one of our favorite memories. The places that the others mentioned are good. You can also search for Golden Bear cottages. My favorite place to stay was at the Escape Condominiums and the Summit Condominiums, right at the base of Snow Summit. You can ski right to your condo.

Does anybody know where I can get a copy of the fray singing O Holy Night? -

It was on a Christmas CD from a local radio station, 97.3 KBCO. I really want to hear this, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

That s my absolute favorite Christmas song by my absolute favorite band! :D It was really beautifully done by Isaac Slade, the lead singer. It s wonderful to listen to!Here s a link to where you can buy the mp3 of the song, which means paying about 99 cents or so, and the song will be downloaded onto your computer. You can put it onto your ipod, mp3 player, or burn it onto a disc. Here you go:http://www.last.fm/music/The+Fray/_/Oh+HHope I helped :)And Merry Christmas!

Check Twist Shout on 2508 E. Colfax Ave and WaxTrax on 638 E. 13TH Ave. It is a long shot but they may know where else to look if they don t have it.

I don t know, did you try just calling the station to ask? That s what I d do because I can t find it anywhere either and it sounds cool!
