I want to find the perfect state/city to live in. Please look at the details to see which state quot;matchesquot; me.? -

Okay, I want to live in a place not too polluted, but not so abandoned either. I want the economy to be at least good. Also, I want the weather to be okay. I can survive all seasons, as long as summer and end spring are really good for swimming. Snow is fine, as long as it s not too harsh winter. Also, I don t want to live in a city, but close to one just in case for shopping and ect. I want to live in a house, not an apartment, even though if I HAD to it would be okay... Thank you!

These small towns have great schools, affordable homes, low crime, and much more. 1. Louisville, CO2. Chanhassen, MN3. Papillion, NE4. Middleton, WI5. Milton, MA6. Warren, NJ7. Keller, TX8. Peachtree City, GA9. Lake St. Louis, MO10. Mukilteo, WA

Does america really have beggars at entrsnace and exit to motorways or is this a myth? -

No, they all live under the bridges in Atlanta, GA.

The answer is yes in my state (Washington).I live in the suburbs north of Seattle, and there are homeless (that s the phrase we use, but you are more correct to call them beggars ) at the exits to the freeways. they do not stand at the entrances because the cars are speeding up there, not slowing down. They are also at the intersections next to large discount stores (Walmart, Costco, Fred Meyer etc.).Usually one person/group will have staked out an intersection or freeway exit, so there is only one per location. But yes, they are there.

Yes we do, but more often than not they are not genuinely homeless, they are middle class people dressed up as homeless people and some of them make as much as $75,000 a year, and try not to pay taxes on it! I used to buy them a dollar hamburger, fries and soda and they would say no, they wanted the money. Screw that. I don t help them anymore.

Not in Indiana...most of them are at the intersections...and in the county I live in, they have a certain space they have to stay in. If they are within like 50 feet of the actual intersection, then they are arrested. People had been complaining about certain ones actually kicking car doors hitting windows because that person didn t help...which most of the time they really don t need help.

Not just the states. And more at intersections (lights where people have to stop) than on and off ramps (where I cannot remember seeing any ever - the occasional hitchhiker, sure, but it isn t a good place to beg, peeps are passing too fast to stop).

its true where i live...at the exit ramps theres this guy that stands there with a sign saying will work for food ...i wont help him cause right behind him theres a sign at Taco Bell saying now hiring ...usually they just want to lay around and have others support them..

We do not have it in Georgia, US but it may occur in NYC or San Francisco. Just give a mean look like you want to take their money and if they are smart will back off. Before I go crazy like a chimp who goes beserk.

No not really sometimes there will be a fake one at our exit and we live on the wealthier side of town, so you know he is faking.

lol,you must not drive.!!! of course we do they will work for food/money...like I would hire them, some times I do give em $$ and cigeretts, when I smoked

That s a fact here in California.

I m not from US but i can tell u one thing.....OF COURSE THERE ARE ....THERE ARE BEGGARS EVERYWHERE !!!! In what perfect world do u leave in :| ?

more under bridges then exits

It`s true

oh how awful if true. It wouldn t surprise me - they have a great deal of poverty in the US that we don t hear about through their mass media.

What restaurants in Austin can you sit on the floor? -

What restaurants in Austin can you sit on the floor? (preferably not japanese or chinese), unless thats the only option?

How about Korean?Dk Sushi Bar Seoul Restaurant6400 S 1st St 512-326-5807 Korea Garden - floor seating with a BBQ grill6519 N Lamar Blvd 302-3149 Traditional Japanese-Kyoto Japanese Restaurant315 Congress Ave 512-482-9010 You could also picnic in a park...

Well you CAN sit on the floor in any restaurant. It doesn t mean you won t get laughed at or that the floor will be clean. Try sitting under the table and maybe no one will notice. Especially if there s a long tablecloth - it will be like your own fort.

I know of an Ethiopian restaurant on I-35, and as I remember they had a table with cushions.Sitting on the floor is not commonplace in American restaurants. The Chinese to not practice this, but Japanese do.

Ichiban (yes, it s Japanese for Number One ) and it s on Burnet Road

How long is the drive between Las Vegas and Los Angeles? -

Hummmmm! You re asking a lot of traveling questions. It is roughly 280 miles, and driving takes between 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours depending on your speed.

It depends entirely on what day you travel and at what time you leave. If you leave LA to go to Vegas on Friday afternoon, expect close to 8 hours. If you go at 10am on a Tuesday, expect around 4 hours. Same coming back. LA folks go there for the weekend so if you can avoid when everyone else is coming and going, you ll get where you want to go more quickly.

Doesn t it depend on the day? Driving from LA to Vegas on a Friday afternoon will take you 6 hours. However, if you do it on a any other day probabaly 4. That being said: on a Sunday afternoon Vegas to LA.......takes forever.

a trip by car from las vegas, nevada to los angeles, california is about 271.29 miles or a little over 4 hour drive

That depends upon your attitude toward speed limits. But plan on at least 6 hours, and you won t be disappointed.

It does not take 6 hours normally (unless u drive like a grandma)... think between 4 to 5 hours... u can check the mileage on google maps

around 5 hours depending on the time you are on the road (traffic) and how fast you are going. and if you stop or not.

7 - 10 hours

2 days

about 4 or 5 hours.depends on traffic, etc

Does JFK Airport check passports? -

I am an American citizen and my passport is expired and I need to get to NY by this weekend. Is there any chance that I can fly to NY without a passport? (I will fly from San Jose Airport)I heard JFK Airport s security is pretty tight...

I think all airports are the same. Before boarding a plane, they check your plane tickets/ itinerary and your driver s license (any ID will do). When you get off the plane, you just walk out of the airport. There is no security checkpoint or anything. Only international flights are different.

Do you have a photo ID - assuming that San Jose is the one in CA - no problem if you have a drivers lic or other govt issue photo id. that is current.

you are only required to have government issued identification for domestic flights. passports are only required for international travel.

Yea they do but give them the citizen ship card and cover the expiration date with the citizenship card

How is to live in alachua-florida? -

I live right outside of Alachua in Lake City. Alachua is a snazzy little town but, there is not much there. It is right outside of Gainesville which offers more. Alachua is slow pace and has a suburb feel to it. It is quieter then Gainesville and pretty safe. There are always a lot of people walking downtown and quite a few that bring their dogs with them. They have a tennis court that is always busy. I also always see a lot of people playing basketball. There are some good restaurants in their downtown. For the most part it is clean. However, there are some pretty rough patches as you go down Martin Luther King Blvd. It is not an exciting place and it doesn t have any night life. However, if you want a quiet life and still be near a reasonable sized city then Alachua is not a bad place. If you are career minded and your job is not with the University of Florida or in health care then this is not the place for you.

Which US State is most similar to Spain (costa blanca)? -

I would most liken the Northern Costa Blanca ( Altea - Oliva ) to the Coastal area between L.A. and San Fran , going up through Carmel. The Climate is generally at least Mild , but can have it s moments ; The Coastline is rugged and changeable and there are some great inland Towns Villages. The vibe as a whole is pretty relaxed.

Help with baseball (spring training) in PHX, ARIZONA please.? -

Okay, some questions background info. I ll be driving in from Las Vegas thusly will have a car. Will be picking up a friend from the airport (there in phx). Most likely stay 3 nights (maybe just 2) depending on $ situation.I ve been to PHX a few times, but this was a decade ago. Budget isnt huge. Where to stay? Is downtown dificult to navigate, park, etc. The biggest cost of them all will be lodging. I m used to places like days inn, holiday inn express, fairfield, clarion. Needs to be safe, clean. Doesnt need to be fancy. Suggestions? Also, what about booking lodging and tickets? Do it now? Cant remember when tickets become available (buying direct)? But, some ticket joints like stubhub already have offerings available i guess. Is it true that games sell out often?I want to see Seattle for sure (for suzuki). I ve actually been to the stadium in Peoria. Is that still where SEA plays?Restaurant suggestions? We both like mexican food. For the most part our $ is going to be dedicated to:tix, lodging, food that s about it. Thank you.

Your M s share the complex with my Padres. This is the address with some watered down directions:Peoria Sports Complex16101 N. 83rd Ave Peoria, AZ 85382 Driving Directions:Take either I-10 or I-17 to Loop 101(Agua Fria Freeway) Take Loop 101 West, if traveling on I-17, or Loop 101 North if traveling on I-10. Exit Bell Road east (exit 14) Turn south on 83rd Avenue Peoria Sports Complex is approximately one-quarter mile down on the east side of 83rd Avenue. This shows a lot of hotels in the area.http://local.yahoo.com/results?stx=hotelOn Bell Road there are a ton of eateries. Many Mexican food joints. When should you book? Well I would say to book your hotel ASAP. You can buy your tickets a little later if you need to. The reason I say this is that there are so many Snowbirds coming to Phoenix in the winter and spring that they really take up a lot of the rental rooms. I d say that the valley s population increases by almost 20% this time of year. You can really tell by the drop in traffic congestion when they leave.
