How and where can I meet people in Tempe? -

I am more then 2000 miles away from everything I have ever known and I am looking to hang out. I just left a place where I have lived for 16 years. I left my family, my friends, and my job to have a great adventure. I had been doing the same thing for so long it was just time to do something new. I still love my family, and friends but I knew it was time for something different. I am in my mid 20 s relatively clean cut good guy. I am respectful, honest, caring, hard working, supportive and just a real good guy. Some of my interest I enjoy are traveling, camping, fishing, kayaking, dancing, hiking, biking, listening to live music, and having a good conversation. So I think I am a pretty good guy. The problem is my adventure is not turning into an adventure at all. I am struggling with knowing exactly how I meet people.

Well, you sure have come a long way. No doubt, the absolute greatest place is Mill Avenue. Quirky shops, bookstores, sidewalk bands, cafes, and so on. It shouldn t be that difficult to strike up a conversation with somebody make small talk around any of these places. In my opinion, if you ve come this far to have an adventure then you might just consider traveling across the many beautiful and unique places across Arizona. Like the Grand Canyon, Sedona s red rocks and many supernatural-themed shops, Prescott s Whiskey Row, Jerome s art scene, Fountain Hills (what used to be the world s tallest fountain), the London Bridge, and much more.

What do i do after secuirty line in Atlanta Airport ? and where i go? -

Make sure you get to the airport early, since lines could be horrendous. Look at the board to confirm your gate, take the tram to the proper concourse (if you re confused, ask for help) and hang out by your gate until the flight boards. There are shops to look in, and over-priced places to eat if you want to pass the time.

Check your boarding pass, it will tell you which gate you need to be at to board your flight.Atlanta has a tram service that runs between all the different concourses and the Main Terminal.Once you know which gate you are at. Follow the signs first to get to your concourse and then your gate.

You go to your assigned gate and wait for your flight.

Are there any special events going on in New Orleans the weekend of January 22, 2010? -

I have a friend coming to visit and am interested in any special events happening the weekend of January 21-24th, 2010. Also, any suggestions for fun nightlife locations? Fun places to go on Bourbon Street? My friend does not eat seafood even though New Orleans is famous for it.. any suggestions for some great non-seafood dining? Thanks!

I can t think of any special events arond then, but check the paper when the dates approach:http://www.nola.com/entertainment/The Palm Court restaurant is very nice, has moderate prices, and offers traditional live jazz starting at 8:00pm: 1204 Decatur Street, tel 504-525-0200 (reservations are important and they are not open every day). The Palm Court is closed from about mid-July 25th to sometime in August each year: http://www.palmcourtjazzcafe.com/Maximo s Italian Grill has great food and atmosphere: 1117 Decatur Street in the French Quarter, (504) 586-8883. www.maximosgrill.comTujaques Restaurant (823 Decatur Street) is very traditional and has moderate prices: www.tujaguesrestaurant.comCafe Degas is a very French restaurant near City Park at 3127 Esplanade - which is not within walking distance of downtown (5 to 10 minutes by taxi). They are closed on Mondays Tuesdays (504-945-5635). www.cafedegas.comThe Napoleon House restaurant is at 500 Chartres Street in the FQ, and has a menu of great local dishes: www.napoleonhouse.comMore restaurant suggestions: http://www.10best.com/New_Orleans,LA/ResThere is always music, but the bands change: Go to www.bestofneworleans.com and click on Music then Listings or to www.offbeat.com and click on Listings, then Music. Note that music clubs often advertise No Cover , meaning there is no charge for entering. However, clubs with No Cover often require that customers buy a beverage each for every set of music (which can be every 20 minutes) so KNOW THE PRICE before you sit down. Clubs do that because some people will sit in the club all evening drinking nothing (clubs only make money from the drinks they sell - not from the music). It is also a good idea to pay for each round of drinks (in clubs on Bourbon Street) as it is delivered so there can t be any confusion at the end of the evening. An incomplete guide to bars clubs: http://www.10best.com/New_Orleans,LA/Nigwww.neworleanscheapdrinks.comAbout certain alcoholic beverages: Realize that some famous drinks are VERY potent compared with regular cocktails that have only 1 to 1 ? ounces of alcohol. For example, a Hurricane is basically 3 or 4 ounces of rum in something like red Kool-Aid, and a Hand Grenade has at least 4 ? ounces of Everclear + rum + vodka mixed with melon liquor. They dont necessarily taste like an alcoholic beverage and it is easy to over-indulge.I hope you have a great time!

NOt many festivals in january. Why don t you check out what bands are playing and also you can maybe checkout a hornets game. All restaurants have choices other than seafood. Enjoy!Drink!Pat O s, Lafittes Blacksmith shop, Columns Hotel Bar( Not in Quarter But has awesome big porch on st. charles avenue), Absinthe House, , Bombay clubFavorite FQ BAR- Lafittes and Pat o s, Carousel BarRestaurants; Brennans, Jaquimos( Best Alligator Cheesecake and blackened red fish), Rio Mar, Commanders Palace(MY FAV), Muriels(Turtle Soup, Goat Cheese Crepes, and Pecan crusted drum),Coffee Pot (FAVORITE RED BEANS and breakfast),Upperline, Lilette, Irenes, Gumbo Shop,Napolean House( FAV. Van nuys court!/?!?!?!?!?!? -

does anyone know if your allowed to go to court earlier than your date cause i m not positive if i can or if i could change the date that would be so much better please help?!?!??!!

You can go earlier, but to change it to a later date will be difficult. Simply go to the clerks office with your ticket, and request to be placed on the calender that day. You will probably have to sit there for a while. You re right. You re in a ton of trouble being that you have a provisional license, and you ve shown a disregard for the restrictions they include. It is possible that your provisional may be suspended, and you won t be allowed to drive again until you turn 18.

What sort of case is this? What sort of court date is this? If this is a criminal case, the prosecutor needs time to present the case to the court. The only way to answer this question is for you to go visit the court clerk. They can change the date for you.

there should be a number on your subpoena / traffic citation .. it never hurts to call or have your lawyer see if he can get it changed if its a criminal or civil matter.

Where do you live and what is it like there? -

You don t have to anwser all the questions or any at all, it s just I am so curious and I wish I could see the world! I have done research and such, but its not the same as actually asking real people and talking to them... you know? Thanks everyone! Peace love!

wow i really like this question. okay so i live in a small (pop. 2000) southern arizona town. first ill answer all ur questions first. What does your flag stand for? not really sureDo you like where you live? no not really but it s home and it always will be so i say it s more of a love/hate on how i feel about my hometown. Is it happiness, peace and love there? if ur referring 2 the cute perfect little towns like on leave it 2 beaver. short simple answers is HELL NO. my town has been and always will be full of tweakers, scandalous people, and wannabe gangsters. but there is alot of good people here as well it s just that there are alot of bad people here as well eg. dealers, crooked cops,ALOT of guys who take advantage of underage and/or drunk girls. What is your favorite thing to do there? well for fun here alot of people drink,do drugs, or hang out at the river. What kind of festivals are there?umm the largest one we have each year is one at the beginning of december where there is alot of venders some games for kids good food and christmas floats are the main event of the festival. we have also have a cinco de mayo festival, 4th of july, etcDo you have lots of lights at night? no not at allWhat does the night sky look like? just a bunch of stars n clouds n the moon.ok our town has some unique things 2 it that ur never gonna find in a small town anywhere, and that s what ive been told by abunch of out of towners who moved here. for one this town will either make you or break you in it s own special way. like you can become worthless tweaker (many of them here) or u can become a big boss for the main company that is the biggest employer here. our 2 main towns are less than 5 miles apart and the high schools of the 2 have always had a big rivalry between the two eventho they are in 2 different conference s. there is another town about 30 miles away and between the 3 highscools in the county there is something here that u wont find elsewhere. an open school district. which means that u can go 2 any school u want in our county even if u dont live in that district and that is making one school stronger and the other 2 weaker. thanx 2 the a$$hole county superintendent who happens to be an alumni from the school that is getting stronger. our county sheriff is corrupt as hell. he helps out his friends and family by evading the law. like i know of one of his daughters friends that got pulled over drunk one time and the cop let her go cuz the sherrif told him 2. he is also a pothead (yes even as acting sherriff of the county) and a big time drunk.those are just a few perks you ll find only in my town.sorry 4 my spelling i just wrote this really quick without checking it

I live in a town in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Population of ~73k and a township of ~132k. It is a decent place to live. There are not a lot of a lot of lights. I live about 30 miles NW of Chicago so we do not have a lot of light population, but thee is a little bit. I can get a fairly good look at the sky because we live in one of the highest place in the Chicago area. In this pic if you can find the black square surrounded by lights, I live slightly west of that square which is a forest preserve. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_A6ZBb9wCU3o/SnwPVS This pic is a little better. I live in the area slightly west of the black square which is near the upper right corner of the pic. http://media.airspacemag.com/images/chic

Cheap but not nasty places to stay in new york city, USA? -

im from australia and am wanting to go to NY City and wanted some names or sites of cheap places to stay that are decent.

Well, considering that even a bunk in a youth hostel in NYC can cost as much as $100 a night, why not stay at one of the hotels offered by the NY Inns Hotel Group (see link, below). They have three very nice hotels right in Manhattan, in the Murray Hill (near Times Square), Union Square (near the East and West Village) and Upper West Side (near Lincoln Center and Central Park) neighborhoods, and the rooms are nice, the service is good, and they re affordable, too! Check out the link below to see their webpage, and, no, I don t work for them or anything like that, I m just a fan.The only cheaper accommodations in New York City might be the YMCA, where very basic rooms (like with the bathroom down the hall), right in Manhattan go for as little as $65 per night (see link, below).Good luck, and welcome to the Big Apple!!

Chelsea International Hostel is US$85/night. http://www.chelseahostel.comThey will even let you get a discount on an airport shuttle from the airport. The max you can stay is 14 days and have to be 18 and older.http://www.chelseahostel.com/policy.html

There are several Cheap Hotels, inns, hostels in New York. The cheapest hotel rates at present starts from around $14.Cheap hotels in New York http://hotels.americacheaphotels.com/Cit

Well, depending on your budget, may I recommend the link below.Good luckNative New Yorker

Nothing is terribly cheap in New York. You may want to see if there are any good deals in Long Island City, Queens; Downtown Brooklyn or Newark or Hoboken in New Jersey. These are a quick train ride away.

Cheap??? HA! Good Luck Buddy! ; )

not sure :)

Vacation Rental Scam? -

Im planning a trip for 10 days to miami this winter and it would be alot cheaper to rent a house or a vacation rental from a owner then it would be to get a hotel. Ive been looking around craigslist, VRBO.com, and vacationrentals.com and ive found some nice places. the only thing im a little skeptical of is the owner taking the money and run, or something like that. Basically im sending 1000k to somebody ive never seen before ( i have talked over the phone). So my question is, is there some kind of company out there or is there a way to do this transacton more safely. Maybe a company that acts as your agent or something. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Absolutely, also try online instead of getting scammed.Book online,I searched on this site and got the cheapest, check it out,it also had discount coupon codes for expedia,orbitz,travelocity,priceline,etchttp://freetravel4ever.blogspot.com
