I am going on a two night weekend trip in January and I want to know if there is snow. If anyone has been to Lake Arrowhead in January please help.

(You would think that they would have seen THAT comong).There is no way for us to know if it knows (I assume you mean snows ) in January. We cannot predict the weather that far in advance. Sometimes it snows, and sometimes not. Sure, it s snowing now, but we could have a heat wave in January. It s happened before.But if I was a betting man, I d say you ll probably have snow on the ground in January. It may not snow while you are there, but you ll probably see snow.

Lake Arrowhead does get snow in January. This is a great time of year to visit Lake Arrowhead because there are hardly any tourists and no crowds.

Eastlake Seattle neighborhood description? -

Eastlake ROCKS...I used to live there. It is a quiet, friendly neighborhood, there is a small market on the corner of Lynn and Fairview (you wouldn t want to shop there for all your groceries, but it s good if you just run out of cereal or bread or something), the bus runs through every 15 minutes (north to UW and south to downtown) and if you re lucky you ll have a view of the lake. Restaurants are great (go to the 14 Carrot Cafe for breakfast, or the Zoo Tavern for drinks) and it s a beautiful place to live. One day a year - July 4th - it becomes PARTY CENTRAL because the greatest fireworks show you will ever see in your life takes place over Lake Union and everyone descends on the neighborhood. The other 364 days a year it is quiet and nice. I would highly recommend it to anyone...the only reason I left is because I bought a house (I was renting there) and couldn t afford to buy in the neighborhood.

Eastlake is a great place. There are parts that I would not live in just because of the traffic but there are definately parts that are great. Some sketchy old apts and some really nice places. I know of a few good restaurants in the area. I think it is fairly quiet. It is a bit of a trek to get to depending on what part of Eastlake you are at but in terms of Seattle it is central. There aren t really any huge grocery stores or anything so you would have to drive a ways to get anywhere but accessiblility to Captiol Hill is okay, U District pretty good and downtown pretty good again depending on your exact location. I guess I don t see too many young families in the neighborhood. There is a good elementary school in the area part of Seattle School District.

A hotel, a chalet, a motel, anything really just something cheap. Me and a few friends are driving down from Canada for skiing and on a teenagers budget we need to cut some costs.

Is New York City really safe? Probably not.Is any city really safe? Definitely not.New York City is one of the safest cities in the country, if not the world. I am 5 0, 100 lbs, and female, and I ve walked around (uptown -- near Harlem) at night and had no issues. It s really not bad. That being said, don t be dumb. Don t walk around parks at night, don t go places by yourself at night, and don t look conspicuously out of place (for example, looking lost while staring at your iPhone in a run-down neighborhood).Since you re a tourist, just stay in Manhattan. It s very easy to navigate and ALWAYS well lit. Stay out of the other boroughs as they are more complicated and have fewer tourists. Save the wonderful things they have to offer for another trip.Finally, you re going to be in New York during the busiest tourist season. You will be surrounded by others of your kind. There will be people everywhere, and no one is going to try to pull something on you unless you are totally unaware. Make sure you know where your bag/wallet is at all times and you will be 100% fine.BTW, you won t see Lady Gaga and Britney unless you go out to clubs at night, in which case there s a slight chance of seeing some celebs but...unlikely.

Im visiting South Lake Tahoe from Dec 18-22. Im from florida so I dont know what to expect.? -

Is there a good chance it might snow? I want to go skiing but I read the best time was around the beginning of February. Also, how cold will it get because living in Florida, theres no need for heavy winter clothes so I dont know what I should pack for the trip.

There is a very good chance it ll snow - It s been cold enough and it s supposed to be a wet year. Expect daytime highs in the low 40s (maybe in the 30s and 20s if theres a storm) and night-time lows in the 10s to 20s. Heavenly is the big ski area in South Lake and they re already open, so there will be skiing if you want.Pack sweatshirts and sweaters. If you have a heavy coat, definately bring it but if you layer your clothes, you might get away with a lighter jacket as long as you re well insulated underneath. Some type of gloves are good, especially if you want to throw snowballs. And long johns for under your jeans will be good too.
