Can anyone tell me the tolls from Baltimore, Md to Queens, Ny following I- 95? -

Just following the I-95 and then whatever tolls into Manhatten to queens?

I-95 does not go to Queens. Where I-95 enters Manhattan is much farther north than Queens is, and is farther from Baltimore than Queens is. If you are going from Baltimore to Queens, do not take I-95 all the way to Manhattan. Instead:a. If Manhattan traffic is expected to be light, Staten Island traffic is expected to be heavy, and you are going to the northern part of Queens (LIE, Northern State Parkway, Flushing, etc.), take the NJ Turnpike eastern spur to the exit for 495 east or the 3 east or Lincoln Tunnel (but not 3 west). Go through the Lincoln Tunnel, drive across Manhattan, and go through the Queens-Midtown Tunnel.b. If Manhattan traffic is expected to be light, Staten Island traffic is expected to be heavy, and you are going to the southern part of Queens (Southern State Parkway, JFK Airport, etc.), take the Holland Tunnel from NJ to Manhattan, then take any of several East River crossings into Brooklyn, then drive across Brooklyn into Queens.c. If Manhattan traffic is expected to be heavy and Staten Island traffic is expected to be light, and you are going to the northern part of Queens (LIE, Northern State Parkway, Flushing, etc.), take I-278 from NJ east across Staten Island and north through Brooklyn and into Queens. d. If Manhattan traffic is expected to be heavy and Staten Island traffic is expected to be light, and you are going to the southern part of Queens (Southern State Parkway, JFK Airport, etc.), take I-278 from NJ east across Staten Island and then take any of several routes east across Brooklyn and into Queens.

Where is best place to stay in Soda Springs California with young kids? -

Renting a house or a condo would be a great idea, and there are a lot of choices for rentals in the California area. With a house / condo rental, you ll have more room for the kids and you won t need to worry about keeping them quiet to avoid disturbing neighboring rooms (like in a hotel).Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking a few nights stay.

What are some things to do in Denver when youre dead? -

I know you don t need a cab to find a priest, and I should find a place to stay where they never change the sheets, but is there anything else?

Check out Mount Olivet or Olinger Funeral Homes, I ve heard they have nice accommodations for the dead. As for activities, pretty much anything is fair game, I doubt they are gonna see you float through the wall...

You re dead aren t you? Then why does it matter what you do? But you ll want a coffin, and a headstone, then talk to a church about a ceremony although you won t be able to get them, someone who is alive will.

rent the movie things to do in denver when you are dead

Lay in a dumpster and bleed out.

Anyone from Detroit? Feedback needed ;-)? -

Hi!I am doing an art/interpretive project on Detroit and I know nothing about Detroit aside from what I ve read on the internet and Wikipedia. It seems that everyone associates Detroit with Cars, and I am wondering if Detroit residents get irritated with the association to cars and the automobile industry. I am assuming there is a lot more to Detroit than what and how the media perceives Detroit to be. I know this is a time of restructuring etc. What would the average person not know about Detroit? What makes Detroit a great city? How do you see Detroit restructuring and redeveloping in the future? What makes Detroit tick?I didn t want this to be a stereotypical project that only equated Detroit to the auto industry because I know there s so much more to Detroit than that. Anything anyone s got I d love to hear it!

Are you kidding? It would be awesome if Detroit still was related to the auto industry! The city has seen its share of interesting historical moments. As an example, it was the place where escaped slaves from the southern states would cross into Canada. Also, it was the epicenter of US military industrial production during World War 2. Indeed, the war was really won in the factories of Detroit and everyplace within 300 miles of the city. Regarding the film work which another poster referred to, that s been intermittent in recent years; though at one time, thanks to the auto industry, it was a major production center for industrial training films. (Who knew?)I wish I had more time to add information here, but I had to borrow this computer. Mine got all bugged up a while back. Unrelated warning: If you see a pop-up for PC Anti Spyware 2010, AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE! That is the bug which pretends to be a security program.

I think it is great that Detroit is associated with the auto industry. But there is more to Detroit as well. Detroit has the Detroit Zoo, The Detroit Institute of Art, The Heidelberg Project, Motown Historical Museum. I hope this is helpful for ya. Have fun with the project and good luck!

detroit is a great place, lots of creative people. the cars thing happened as automation took over and henry ford sold a bunch of cars.. it just made sense with all the iron and other supplies available around michigandetroit needs to reinvent itself as a leader in technology, creativity and innovationthe idea of making a smaller city that can sustain itself is great.. i was against it at first, but they are considering moving people from being spread apart to being close together, upgrading peoples houses with other houses, detroit can t afford to pick up trash and other public services are suffering because its so spread out with so few peopleit was once the 4th biggest city and now its like 20th or something..

Detroit is right across the river from Windsor, Canada and people travel back and forth across the border everyday. Also, it does not bother me to be equated to the auto industry. We are the motor city...they city that drives the world .

Well, Detroit is the home of the original Motown record label and back in the 60 s and 70 s introduced such acts as The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Martha Reeves, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Little Stevie Wonder; the list is endless. During that era, Detroit was the epicenter of the music world. The location where Berry Gordy, Jr. (the founder of Motown) started the label is now a museum. Google Motown Museum, Detroit for more info.Detroit is also pushing right now for a share in movie production, filming, etc. A deal was recently announced whereby some vacant property/land was taken over and some studio is going there. Not sure about the details, but I know this has been in the wind for a while, the idea of trying to attract movie production to the area.Maybe you could google Detroit and film industry and get more information on that but I know they are trying to make that the up-and-coming thing.
