Can you play Roulette by simply betting on either red or black? I know so little about this game.? -

Any advice and or rules for it , would be appreciated. I see on movies people betting on either red or black, but that seems just too easy !!!! Is that really all theres to it? I know about the green and double green and about betting on numbers. But that 49% chance of doubling your money just seems too good to be true?

Most casinos won t let you bet on red and black at the same time. They assume that you are trying to waste time to get free drinks.---------------The odds are not 49% since 0 and 00 are colored green. That means 2 out of 38 times you will lose, so the house edge is over 5.26%. The Roulette bets that pay 1:1 or 2:1 are not very sensible. It is better to play line bets in craps. Roulette should be played only for 4:1, 6:1, 9:1, 12:1, and 36:1 bets.--------------If you are playing bets that pay less than 4:1 then craps is the better game (with a much lower house edge). Roulette has essentially the same house edge all the time. So why waste it on even pays. Just go for the big win. --------------Craps has different house edges for every bet. But for bets that have a payout of 4:1 up to the maximum craps payout of 33:1 the house edge is much higher than 5.26% on roulette. If you take enough free odds in craps, the house edge is lower than perfect play in blackjack (for some multideck games) and you don t have to remember as much.

Sure can look at the board there is a place for red or black you can also play four corners of a number or half of a number or half red and half black but that is like not even betting and kind of defeats the purpose of the bet but there are people who do it... Hello silly! Those people make me laugh they must be first timers...I do not gamble anymore I loved to bet on my mother in laws birthday and her age at the time that I learned to play that age was 72 I won a lot on it played 24 on the half a lot 5 on all 4 corners and number 1 we won a lot on different tables using those numbers in different combinations either all on or half on or four corners but yes red and black are things you can bet. I used to love the game but not a good gamble really lots of people lose their bums on the game! Trust me on this!

Yes, you can, but there is usually a minimum you have to play on those. Like at $1 tables, the minimum on black or red is usually $5. You have a 50/50 chance betting on red or black, but pay out isn t great. You double up or lose it all. If you hit a number, the payout is like 38 to 1...so if you only played one dollar on the number...you just came up $38.

But that 49% chance of doubling your money just seems too good to be trueIf everyone in the world did it... the casinos would make a ton of money. Therefore it is allowed. Casinos look from the stance: we are more then likely to make money per person, thus if we attract enough people to do it, we ll make money. Hope that helps,MacklerNote: The actual best odds are in craps, which the house has about a 1.4 ish advantage. The odds are even lower then that for roulette.

Actually it s a 47.36842% chance of paying off since 0 and 00 are colorless...advantage to the house. You can also play evens or odds, 1 18 or 19 36 to split the table (low-high) with the same 1:1 payoff.See the layout payoff chart below:http://www.ildado.com/roulette_table_lay

Go with your gut feeling on a number as you approach the wheel...many times I would have won if I bet that way. I usually bet 20, split 20/17, 32, 8, 11. Playing this game you don t have to worry what others think when you play blackjack.

The green is betting the house wins. You can play red and black at any time, or columns, or group of four numbers placing on the corner of all four, or a single number, etc.

Yes, you can play any single bet you want to. However you must bet the table minimum (just like blackjack, craps or any table game). If the minimum is $5.00 you must bet $5.00 on either red or black).Good Luck!

I have played it once and from what I can remember, yes, you bet on red or black.Russian Roulette, ow that s different.

Yes, You can, no problem!!:-)

I want to move away idk where 2 start .... help? -

im 19th and im ready for a new start . i want move in the V.A ,M.D or D.C area but don t know where to start im already looking at some colleges around the areas. so please help me

Where one choses to relocate normally starts with a job or written offer (and not wishes) bec INCOMING CASH FLOW from your job/salary is KEY. Additionally how much savings you were able to put away helps bec BEING INDEPENDENT has more to do with CASH FLOW + SAVINGS meeting your CASH OUT FLOW paying your monthly expenses. Yes, going to college and graduating with a degree in a difficult major does open doors to job opportunities and eventually financial prosperity but if your parents or a scholarship is not covering the high costs of tuition and room board, well then you must apply for student loans etc and such expenses will just add to what it costs for a room/apartment plus utilities plus food to survive. There are many good colleges in the Metro DC area and due to the rising costs of tuition expenses, many students are going the cheaper COMMUNITY COLLEGE route earning 2 year Associate degrees and then transferring to the larger 4 year UNIVERSITIES...Food For Thought and Best of Luck in Your Future Endeavors!

Agree with above about cash flow--if you re moving to the DC area, you want to know how you re going to support yourself. That said, if you know that you want to go the college route and know how you re going to pay, may I recommend the University of Maryland? I grew up in deep suburban Pennsylvania, ended up going to UMD, graduated, and have stayed in the area. It s a respected school but not impossible to get into, has a lot of great resources, and--crucially--is very large with a lot of different colleges in it, so when you inevitably decide to change your major, you have lots of different options and won t have to transfer to a different university. There s also a lot of emphasis on real world usefulness--getting jobs and internships, using the resources in the DC area. And Maryland is nice because it has a true college campus with grassy lawns and dorms and brick buildings, but it s also an easy metro ride into DC so you can have the urban experience too. If you re trying to transition into big city life, it can be a nice stepping stone and less expensive than attending a college in DC and paying to live downtown.I did know someone at UMD who had to support herself (no money from parents). I m not saying it was easy, but she managed by being an RA, which gave her free housing, and by working at the IKEA 10 minutes down the street (IKEA gives benefits like health insurance).

What are some good places to visit in Manhattan this summer? -

I live in NYC, always have and I ve never been to another state, but I ve never really gone to Manhattan for anything other then important business(that Joint Disease hospital is in Manhattan for example) I want to see The Lion King, and Wicked. I want to go to Nintendo World..But that s pretty much it.I m a teenager..And I like video games, and anime/manga/comics/cartoons.But I like going to museums and such too.

Go visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two landmarks of New York City. To get there by the ferry, you need to purchase round-trip ferry tickets at Castle Clinton National Monument in Lower Manhattan. Ferries from New York operate on a loop, stopping first at Liberty Island and then at Ellis Island before returning to Battery Park, New York.Directions to get the ferry dock:http://www.nps.gov/stli/planyourvisit/puGo visit the Empire State Building, one of the many landmarks of our city. It is located at 350 5th Avenue. To get there by MTA subway, take the 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Or take the B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas.Go walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is, if I m correct, which I might not be, is the oldest structure in the city. If not the oldest structure, the oldest bridge. To get there, and walk across it, take the 4, 5, or 6 to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop. Another option would be to take the J, M, or Z to Chambers Street.Go visit Coney Island, the home of the world famous Cyclone roller coaster. The amusement park will be closed, especially in the winter time, but the aquarium is open year-round, and sometimes the pier is open, so you can get some snacks -- they have fantastic corn dogs on the pier. To get there by train, take the D, Q N or F train to Stillwell Avenue, which is the last stop. This takes about 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and sometimes longer, depending on where you are coming from.Go to visit some museums. There are so many, that listing directions to all of them would be a waste of your time and my time, so instead, I will give you a list where there is a list of all the museums of New York City. You can pick some that sound interesting, and then you can find directions to that place, either from the website, or from Google, simply by typing in directions to and insert the musuem you would like to go to beside it. Museums in New York City http://www.ny.com/museums/all.museums.ht Best of New York City This is a website I found that has a guide to the best food, the best shopping, the best tours, and et cetera. For the best of both worlds, visit this website for the highest rated restaurants in the city, the best tours, the best bars, and the best everything:http://gonyc.about.com/od/bestofnewyorkcAll the best ?
