What should I do in Los Angeles? -

I m going to LA for next week for vacation and was wondering what are some things that I should do when I m there. I m 23 btw and like to do just about everything.

There are literally hundreds of things to do here in LA. Here is my list of must sees. Visit as many as you have time for.:Disneyland: The Happiest Place on Earth. Half a billion visitors cant be wrong. #1 Destination. Universal Studios: A theme park that grew out of a studio tour. #2 Destination.Even if you dont visit Disneyland or Universal Studios Tour, Downtown Disney District and Universal City Walk are very fun places to visit for shopping and eating. And theyre free to visit. Hollywood: Enjoy the Walk of Fame, Entertainment Museum, Chinese Theatre and more. You can see a lot for free. The Hollywood Highland complex has lots of shops and restaurants, and the Kodak Theater. The El Capitan theater, right across the street, is where Disney shows their movies. And the Hollywood Bowl is a GREAT place to listen to concerts outdoors. Olvera Street/Union Station: Olvera Street is the birthplace of LA, and it emphasizes our Mexican heritage. In addition to the Avila Adobe (oldest building in LA), you can eat at some pretty good Mexican Restaurants, do a little shopping, and taste a churro. If you dont want to go to Tijuana, this is as close as it gets without going there. Union Station has great architecture from a bygone age. Also, you are 2 blocks from Phillippes (see below).Rodeo Drive, 90210: Packed with exclusive shops, full of gawkers. They all came to enjoy the excess. Free, unless you intend to buy something.Venice Beach: Los Angeles kitsch and over-the-top culture at its best. Here you ll find Muscle Beach, street performers and tacky shops galore. Fun, VERY interesting, but I avoid it after dark, when it gets a little TOO interesting for my taste. Santa Monica: Beach and Pier: Great beach scene and a classic seaside amusement park, complete with antique carousel that has been in a lot of TV and movies. After visiting the pier, you can ride a bike south a couple miles to Venice Beach. Sunset Boulevard began as a route between the stars posh neighborhoods and the Hollywood studios. It runs from downtown to the ocean, passing through the Sunset Strip on its way.Farmers Market and The Grove - A new shopping complex right next to a Los Angeles landmark, It is right next to CBS, so walk across the lot to see if they are taping The Price is Right . You might even get in.Griffith Park - Home of the Los Angeles Zoo, Griffith Park Observatory, Travel Town, the Greek Theatre, and Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage.Getty Museum - The Getty s architecture is so beautiful that it keeps me fascinated. No matter whether you like their art, architecture, or view better, the Getty is sure to please. Free.Attend a TV taping - You can get free tickets at audiencesunlimited.com, tvtix.com, or see the booth at Universal City walk. It s very interesting to see a show being taped. The most popular, by far, is the Tonight show. Check the NBC web site for all the details there.Places to eat:In-N-Out Burger: Multiple locations, best burger in LA, ask anyone.Pinks Hot Dogs: 709 N. La Brea, just north of Melrose. You might even see a celebrity. Maybe.Tommys Chili Burgers: Look for the shack, an LA tradition. The original location is at Beverly Rampart, a couple miles west of downtown.Canters Deli: 419 N. Fairfax, between Beverly Melrose. Near CBS, you might spot a celebrity.Phillippes: 1001 N. Alameda. Great roast beef sandwiches. Near Union Station and Olvera Street. Watch the mustard, its hot.Titos Tacos: Voted best tacos in LA, even though its in Culver City. The Pantry: Corner of Figueroa and 9th, downtown. Huge portions, they never close, GREAT steak and eggs.Places to Stay:Since LA is so spread out, there is no single place that is close to EVERYTHING. Most people who come here tend to stay in Hollywood, Santa Monica, or Anaheim. In Hollywood, I recommend the Orchid Suites, Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, or Holiday Inn Walk of Fame, all near Hollywood and Highland. Another one is the Best Western Sunset Plaza. In Santa Monica, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica is close to the pier and reasonably priced. In Anaheim, I recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) Anaheim, and the Candy Cane Inn. There is also a nice place in Burbank called the Best Western Media Center, very close to Warner, NBC, and Universal Studios.Places to Shop:Third Street Promenade, Santa MonicaThe Grove, Los AngelesAmericana @ Brand, GlendaleBeverly Center, Los AngelesCitadel Outlets, CommerceBrea Mall, BreaThe Block at Orange, OrangeSouth Coast Plaza, Costa MesaFashion Island, Newport BeachSantee Alley, Los Angeles

The basics: Theme parks: Universal Studios, Six Flags: Magic Mountain, Knott s Berry Farm, Disneyland.More fun: Santa Monica Pier, Griffith Park, Beverly Hills/Rodeo Drive Shopping District, Mulholland Drive, Universal City Walk, Chinatown, Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Sign.Even more fun: Sunset Strip, Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles Farmer s Market, Huntington Beach Pier. Some other interesting activities: Westwood Memorial Park (where most celebrities are buried.) Hollywood Wax Museum, Anime Expo.Sports: Staples Center, Lakers Game, Dodgers Game.Studios: Warner Bros Studio Tour, NBC Studios, Culver Studios, CBS Studios, Paramount Studio TourAnd the list goes on..

Los Angeles has no shortage of attractions. There s really nowhere in the world that has more variety of things to do than Los Angeles. Whether you re coming for the theme parks, the Hollywood glitz, the nightlife, the arts and culture scene, the beaches, mountains or desert, there s no excuse for being bored when you re in LA. So you can do many things and make your enjoy good. Anyone live in Concord Square Apartments in Reseda, CA? -

I am moving from Dallas to Los Angeles. I would like to find a place before I move so I don t have any lay over at an extended stay or the like. Anyway, Concord Square doesn t have interior pictures of their apartments other than the kitchen. Anyone live here or has lived there that might have pictures? This is a shot in the dark, I know.

If i actually knew the street its on i could give you a better idea of the apt complex and neighborhood.Reseda isn t all that bad. the only problem with apartment living, that ive noticed Is Illegal aliens inhabit a few apartments and you have up to 5 families living in a 2 bedroom one bath unit.. which means the neighborhood deteriorates rather quickly.. I ve lived in the valley since i was 8 and it used to be nice with single family housing ... but since the building of apartments its starting to go downhill like the rest of the city. Nobody except a few natives cares..If I sound like a racist, so be it... Im just telling it like it is, regardless what the first answerer and a few others think.they live in their gated communities in orange county ( like mr no duh s) , west los angeles or ventura county and get their morning lattes and muffins at starbucks .. they dont have to deal with almost running into empty shopping carts left in the streets, like me, on a 3 times a week basis. My Property tax bill I got this year allows me to complain... case closedciao

I don t think you re going to find anyone here who lives there. But when moving, I highly recommend apartmentrentals.com: http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/CA- You may not get pictures, but you ll usually have some reviews to go by.---------Sorry WoE, I don t live in a gated community. I m out there taking my chances with everyone else. It s not like I m sequestered in OC... we have crime here too. And unlike some, I don t blame all of LA s or California s ills on one particular group of people.... sheesh.

How to obtain a nand gate using or gate ? not a nor gate? -

You ll probably get more helpful responses (or any, for that matter) if you phrase the question in a less confusing way and ask it in the science section (and the engineering sub-section would make the most sense, I m guessing).

Your question is completely incoherent.

Anyone know a decent Train Station that is affordable and will take me from Boston Ma to Somewhere around NYC? -

For new years eve me and some friends plan on going there for the show. We need to find a train station that will take us from boston massachuets to somewhere around New York City for a affordable price. It could answer with a website that would be fantastic. Than you :)

The only train option is Amtrak, which runs from South Station or Back Bay Station to Penn Station in NYC. But the buses, which all go from South Station or Back Bay Station to various spots in NYC, are fast, clean (mostly), and dirt cheap if you purchase in advance. Try boltbus.com, megabus.com (which leaves from Back Bay Station), gotobus.com, busjunction.com.

not sure about train but there are A LOT of busses that go from south station (boston) to NYC. For example, Fung Wah Bus (about $20). http://www.fungwahbus.com/
