Hunter boots as snow boots in Chicago weather? -

I m shopping for snow boots and was wondering if anyone is using the Hunter boots with the fleece sock as a winter boot? The sales lady at Akira told me it was a great buy at about $150 for the boot with the socks. But I have a hard time believing that it could actually be used as a snow boot for warmth. Any feedback? Thanks!

Me and my friend wore them all last winter...ugg s as well..(of course they got ruined). I loved them. But my favorite were my North Face Nuptse Fur boot, very warm and they didn t slip all over the place. It s a nice heavy winter boot, but it still looks girly and feels light and sleek, not all heavy and bulky..good luck finding something, but the Hunters are warm and cute.

Fleece will surprisingly work. On the coldest days I wear fleece socks in the house outside. They can be used with shoes or any boot but they are thicker than most socks. I have not used Hunter socks. I have used them from LL Bean and REI.The photo does not show the tickness of the fleece. There are several types. In general, the thicker the material, the warmer it will be:http://www.hunter-boot.com/2/9/Shop-OnliFor boots I prefer complete wool lining. I ve had a pair for years and sometimes use them sockless for shoveling snow and outside chores.

I am in need of writing a letter to the highest person in charge of the Nassua County (in Long Island, NY)? -

I am in need of writing a letter to the highest person in charge of the Nassua County (in Long Island, NY) Police Department. I dont know his or her name and what to call the person. Please reply back to this Question with the following if you can.1. The first and last name of the person.2. What is more appropriate to put in the letter, Dear (first name) or Dear (last name) ?3. What are there ranked name (leuitenant, sargent, etc)Thank you, please respond back as soon as possible !

Sure. Here is the link to that department s Website:http://www.police.co.nassau.ny.us/index.This site will give you more information than you need, but it is all interesting and worthwhile.1. I would think the Commissioner (named on the site) is the top official. Go to the site, click on Commissioner in the left menu.2. Until you have established a more casual relationship, it is definitely best to refer to the commissioner and other officials with their title. Dear Commissioner (Last Name Here) would do just fine. Likewise, Dear Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Officer, etc would be appropriate. If there is any doubt about the exact rank or title, you may certainly use Mr., Mrs., or Ms, depending on the individual case.3. The ranks are also given on the site. The menu at the left is just full of good stuff.4. I added this one. Please, please, please, when you write to them spell their name correctly. This is not only for the individuals but also for the department. Notice that you have spelled the county as Nassua twice, but it is actually Nassau. Well, good luck on your project. It should be a good one for you.

1. Lawrence W. Mulvey 2. Dear Commissioner Mulvey:3. Commissioner of PoliceAlso, you should be careful to spell Nassau (a before the u, not after) correctly in your letter.
