What would you suggest I do in NYC during the holiday seasons? -

A visit to New York City during Christmas time would not be a trip to New York City during Christmas time without a trip to Rockefeller center to visit the big tree. You most likely will be missing the lightning, as it is on the second of December, but between then and January seventh, the tree will be up, so I strongly suggest going out there to check out the tree. Rockefeller is between 47th and 50th Streets and 5th and 7th Avenues. I would also suggest seeing the Nutcracker , which is a Christmas-themed ballet. It s a magical performance, and it s a fun family ballet, and I would suggest that as well. Also check out SoHo and Canal Street for some fantastic shopping. Where can I go to feed the homeless in San Diego, CA for the Christmas Holiday? -

In a knee jerk reaction I would have said St. Vincent De Paul in downtown SD. The more I think about it I think it would be easier and cheaper to either give food gift cards or simply give Jack in the Box tacos. They are 2 for a buck. Either way, simply by asking, God will point your heart in the right direction. You will make a good run. I get torn about these things too at this time of year.

The most known place is Father Joe Carol s in downtown. Of course you need to do what makes you feel good but, the first place you may want to try to volunteer at is The Polinski Children s Center.These are kids that are living away from home due to any number of reasons and I am sure they would love to see friendly faces during this very tough time in their life.In my opinion, if you decide to feed the homeless, you will be feeding many of them that can feed themselves if they wanted to work for a living.No matter, welcome to San Diego, also called America s Finest City.

Just go to Balboa Park or Ocean Beach by the pier and give people bags of prepared food. Sandwiches, tacos, juice boxes, soda pop or if you wanna be really nice, cheap cans of beer. I know a few squatters in San Diego who hang out on University Ave, they are very nice people down on their luck and would really appreciate it.

I can tell they really know San Diego ;)If, however, you are looking for a more controlled enviroment... Maybe you d feel safer or something, like a homeless shelter.
