Well, in three years, your two oldest will be out on their own or at college, so that leaves a 15-year-old high school student. You d need to consider where you can find a job and where there would be a good high school for him/her. There is a book, Places Rated that gives the various facts about different cities - check your library or bookstore or on line. The Labor Department website would have info [very general info] on job outlooks in various cities for various occupations. Your library would likely have a lot of books with the kind of info you ll need. Or you can do on-line searches for the info. You d also want to visit the places you re interested in, to get a taste of what they re really like. It will take some time, but you ve got three years.Good luck to you!

ft.l i live here its cool

How much would it cost to go to disney world from new york and what do i need to do? -

in terms of plane, staying, etc

My family (me, wife, 2 sons ages 10 9) went in July, 08 for 8 days. Here was the cost breakdown:Airfare from Kansas City and rental car using Travelocity: $1300.7 day park tickets: $1100. We added the water park option, but did not get parkhoppers. Parkhoppers are overrated and not necessary if you have never been to Disney before. They will cost an extra $50 per ticket.Lodging: $150. Yes, only $150. Explanation needed here: My wife s aunt gave us her time share condo at The Fountains Resort as a wedding gift (we had been married the previous year and it was a honeymoon for us, and yes, we took my kids along!) The $150 was for 2 extra nights in an off Disney property budget hotel near the airport.Food/Souvenirs/Gas/Misc.: $850. We didn t go crazy for souvenirs. We all got T-shirts, mugs, DVDs of the boys at Cyberspace Mountain, hats, and so on. We saved A LOT of money because we shopped at a grocery store near our condo, and cooked breakfast and dinner in the condo s kitchen. We bought snacks and gatorade and took them into the parks to tide us over during our park tours. We did eat a few meals in restaurants, but did so off Disney property where the prices are cheaper.Total Cost: $3400That condo runs about $175 per night for guests not in the time share. While this is twice as much as what it would cost to stay in one of Disney s value resorts, I really think it is worth it. We got 2 bedrooms, one with a king sized bed, the other with two double beds, 2 bathrooms, a living room, private balcony, and full kitchen. If you consider that a family of four could spend $100 per day in food alone at the parks, then you can make up the extra cost for the condo in food alone. Plus, you ll be much more comfortable!Have fun!

A one way ticket between Orlando and NY is around $100, sometimes less. Where you stay in NY is your choice. You can stay in Manhattan for $200+ a night, or you can stay in another borough or even NJ for less money.

VIII.Best scenic route across the United States (Baltimore/Washington to San Diego).? -

OK, Here is some background: I am in my 20 s, I consider myself fairly educated and resourceful. I have traveled through most of Europe, both as a poor student and after college at a point I actually had some money. I have also backpacked in Central America. My friend and I are planning a trip to drive across the US from the Chesapeake region to San Diego. While I do want to keep it on the cheap, I do have a little money to spend. I will not have a strict time restriction for the trip. I do care to see the worlds largest ball of string, or the worlds biggest matchbook house. I am interested in seeing natural beauty: swamp lands, plains, mountains, deserts, as well as man-made beauty such as interesting cities that may be along the way, big or small. So Im looking for some advice on possible routes to take. Im not looking for anything too specific, but major highways that move though some regional landscapes that represent the beauty of the land would be helpful, as well as cities and towns that may be of interest for someone curious about the world. One last note, while I am willing to take the scenic route, I don t want to go too far out of the way. For example, I don t see myself visiting Wyoming on this particular trip.

It s a little off the beaten track but consider checking out the canyon country of southern Utah. Go through Colorado and the Rocky Mountains on I-70 and head to Arches National Park in Utah. Do the Great Circle Tour to see Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches National Parks and the Grand Canyon. Bryce Canyon is one of the most fantastic sights in the southwestern U.S. http://www.nps.gov/brca/http://www.nps.gov/zion/index.htmAt Bryce Canyon everyone stays at Ruby s Inn.http://www.rubysinn.com/Utah Route 12 is one of the most scenic roads in the country. Red Canyon and Big Thunder Road in Dixie National Forest is the inspiration for Disneyland s Big Thunder Mountain (see the picture I took in link below)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:RedRochttp://www.utah.com/byways/highway_12.hthttp://scenicbyway12.com/You can cross the Colorado River at Lake Powell and head to the Grand Canyon.http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navFrom the Grand Canyon you can either head to Phoenix or Las Vegas. I recommend Vegas. Hotel rooms are inexpensive mid week. Time it right and you can stay at a great place for less than $50.Be sure to check out the Hoover Dam tour, It s right outside Las Vegas.http://www.usbr.gov/lc/hooverdam/serviceFrom Vegas you take I-15 right to San Diego. It passes right through Death Valley. At Baker, CA you can gas up and see the World s Largest Thermometer.http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/289BTW if you plan to go to more than one National Park, buy the annual pass. It allows a vehicle and its occupants unlimited admission.http://www.nps.gov/fees_passes.htmWhen you get to San Diego here are some things to do.Mission and Pacific Beach are your best bet for fun in the sun. Belmont Park has a vintage historic wooden roller coaster as well as other rides.http://www.missionbeachonline.com/http://www.belmontpark.com/Some must see attractions are the world famous Zoo, Sea World, and Balboa Park.
