is winter time so i m assuming that would limit where to go, i ve been to many places in the us and one of my favorites is Grand Canyon, but if you are planning for the future consider it in early spring or before fall, otherwise is too hot and crowded. Also consider visiting the north rim, is the most beautiful view since you face east, and in the evening shows such wonderful colors which also makes it great for pictures.another trip i m planning but have yet to take is to drive thru the pacific highway in California, beautiful places to see before everything goes down. and if you go to key west like the other person suggested, try Islamorada, truly is the fishing capital of the US.
I would recommend joining a travel network to get discounted travel services and even complimentary vacations. That way you can broaden your horizons when it comes to travel. There are sooo many fascinating places domestically and abroad that you can seriously consider because travel networks provide a plethora of affordable options. I joined a travel network a little over two months ago and got a complimentary 7 day/6night 5-Star stay to use a hotel or resort anywhere in the world I want to use it. That s a $900 value and my lodging is covered which gives me extra money for other things to do on the trip. Plus, I would suggest taking a cruise and on Royal Caribbean s Oasis of the Seas. You will get California, Florida, Disneyland, and Sea World all wrapped up in one like an enchilada! I will include a link for the travel network I joined. Enjoy your holiday season!!!
Steve in NC I went to Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg and I absolutely hated it. It was so boring and not exactly a place to relax. :/ Anyway, I would go to Missouri or Iowa. They have awesome open spaces that just relax and open your mind. I heard they also have some awesome anime conventions over there...
i went to Oahu, Hawaii this summer, and it is definitely the most beautiful place i ve ever been to! definitely relaxing... we were 5 minutes walking from Waikiki Beach, and the water is so clean, the weather s great all year round, and the people there are really nice. there s an endless amount of possibilities to do there- definitely consider going, and take lots of pictures! [and back them up because i lost a bunch of my pictures from there and i can t get them back anymore :( ]
How about Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg in our neck of the woods? Beautiful scenery, a lot to do, some really cool cabins for relaxing and much, much more. Info:http://patriotgetaways.com/?NCK=goog-pighttp://rental.cabinsofthesmokymountains.http://www.mypigeonforge.com/what_to_do.
