What to do *20 characters*? -

I m going to NYC next weekend and decided to go to:1.Time Warner Buildings2.Rockefeller Center3.Macy sAnd other places. But for the 3 places above IDK what to do there? And what is the hours for them? Thanks.

Go visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two landmarks of New York City. To get there by the ferry, you need to purchase round-trip ferry tickets at Castle Clinton National Monument in Lower Manhattan. Ferries from New York operate on a loop, stopping first at Liberty Island and then at Ellis Island before returning to Battery Park, New York.Directions to get the ferry dock:http://www.nps.gov/stli/planyourvisit/puGo visit the Empire State Building, one of the many landmarks of our city. It is located at 350 5th Avenue. To get there by MTA subway, take the 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Or take the B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas.Go walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is, if I m correct, which I might not be, is the oldest structure in the city. If not the oldest structure, the oldest bridge. To get there, and walk across it, take the 4, 5, or 6 to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop. Another option would be to take the J, M, or Z to Chambers Street.Go visit Coney Island, the home of the world famous Cyclone roller coaster. The amusement park will be closed, especially in the winter time, but the aquarium is open year-round, and sometimes the pier is open, so you can get some snacks -- they have fantastic corn dogs on the pier. To get there by train, take the D, Q N or F train to Stillwell Avenue, which is the last stop. This takes about 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and sometimes longer, depending on where you are coming from.Go for a ride on the Circle Line. There are numerous different cruises C one is the Full Island Cruise, which takes you around Manhattan on a three-hour cruise. The Semi-Circle Cruise sets sail on a two-hour cruise down the Hudson offering a stunning panoramic of the famed New York skyline and a close-up view of Lady Liberty. The Liberty Cruise turns 75-minutes into a quick and inspirational way to see New Yorks highlights from the water. There is also a Harbor Lights Evening Cruise, which allows you to view the hotspots of New York City from the water at night. Then, there is The Beast. Its a boat that travels at forty-five miles per hour down the river to the Statue of Liberty. Both cruises are fun and informational, and are a great way to kill some time if you dont have anything to do.Here is the Circle Line schedule:http://www.circleline42.com/site/schedulCircle Line special events:http://www.circleline42.com/site/browse.Go to visit some museums. There are so many, that listing directions to all of them would be a waste of your time and my time, so instead, I will give you a list where there is a list of all the museums of New York City. You can pick some that sound interesting, and then you can find directions to that place, either from the website, or from Google, simply by typing in directions to and insert the museum you would like to go to beside it. A visit to New York City during Christmas time would not be a trip to New York City during Christmas time without a trip to Rockefeller center to visit the big tree. You ve missed the lighting this year, but between then and January seventh, the tree will be up, so I strongly suggest going out there to check out the tree. Rockefeller is between 47th and 50th Streets and 5th and 7th Avenues. I would also suggest seeing the Nutcracker , which is a Christmas-themed ballet. It s a magical performance, and it s a fun family ballet, and I would suggest that as well. Also check out SoHo and Canal Street for some fantastic shopping. There are some great miscellaneous items you can find around there, and there is almost everything that you could want and need for the holidays. the Nutcracker ballet information:http://www.nutcrackerballet.net/ Top 10 Things To Do in NYC For The Christmas Holiday http://travelingmamas.com/2008/12/02/top Things to do in New York City at Christmastime http://www.onboardnewyorktours.com/chris How to Enjoy Christmas in New York http://www.associatedcontent.com/articleNote: Maps of New York City are at every newsstand, and newsstands are all around New York City. Also, for transportation, there are maps in subway cars and on subway trains, and there are also maps in buses. The maps at bus stops are usually just for the bus route. All the best ?

BRINGING MY 3 MONTH OLD KITTEN TO VEGAS, WHAT DO I NEED?!? -

HELLO,i am bringing my 3 month old kitten to vegas in less than 2 weeks!! what should i bring? the litter?! okay i have a few questions:Do they allow pets in the cabs? What documentations do i need and vaccinations?WHAT TO BRING OVERALL?! my trip is for 3 days only:) PLEASE HELP ASSAP!!!!

Why? Most hotels do not allow animals in the room. Board the kitten at wherever you live now. You do not want to spend half your Vegas trip caring for a kitten.

LITTER , FOOD, CATBOX / CARRIER, .... wouldnt a sitter be easier?

You re kidding right? Don t bring a pet to Vegas. Instead, board it or ask a trusted friend or family member to watch it while you re gone.

How long does it take for a letter, from Hawaii, to reach Rhode Island? -

Someone told me about a week, but does that 7 days include weekends, or just business days?

First class, #10 envelope and not over 1 ounce takes about 3-4 days (not including sundays).

My grandparents live in Connecticut and it takes about a week - not including weekends - for my mail to get here. They always call me from the post office to let me know to be expecting mail.

Madame Tussauds NYC ? -

im thinking of going there i have several questions for anyone whos been there or might know. Is there more wax figures than the ones on the website? Is it worth the visit? Is it fun? Are there any more additions than just the figures other than 4d? thank u

First of all, yes there are way more figures than what is on the website. As to whether is is fun or not, that depends on what you consider fun.I took my daughter and her friends there for her 13th birthday. The 12 and 13 year olds at the party really loved it. (We did not go into the section of horrors , though. None of the kids really wanted to do that.) My younger daughter, who is 8, was pretty bored. I liked the fact that the kids had a good time, but truthfully, it s not my kind of thing, either. I wouldn t have gone if it weren t for my daughter and her friends. But if you are a teen or a pre-teen, you will probably enjoy yourself there.

personally it is not worth it, I went with my two children and for the four of us, it was over 100$ just to get in, and my children got bored, and didnt know any of the people except the hulk. But it is all up to you. Personally I could of gone without going, but others love it! it s all up to you. http://www.madametussauds.com/NewYork/Bu

It s an NYC staple, but it is costly for what you get. I suggest visiting the NYC Tourist Center website beforehand. You can get discounted admissions if you buy in advance via the website.http://www.nyctouristcenter.com

Yeah I went when I was in my senior year in 8th grade.. It is pretty cool if you know the people that are waxed. The best part of the whole thing is that there is a little scare house that you go through and they are actors that chase you and sh1t. Its pretty cool .

I ve been to the one in Los Angeles and it was a lot of fun. I hear the one in new york is larger, so you may have even more fun!

Is it in the middletown ohio area yet??????? -

Should I move away? Would you? -

*I am about to graduate high school in January 2010.- currently 19yrs old.- currently employed.*from SavannahBut I am confused. I have lived in my home city all my life. I know where everything is like the gym, colleges to attend, malls....everything really. I am deciding whether or not to move to Atlanta, GA. My cousin lives there. But I would unconfortable because I would be moving away from everything i know. On the other hand, moving out would help me become more independant, learn how to provide for myself, etc.I need as many opinions as possible. Thanks! 3

I tink after asking the exact same question in here 12 time you should have enough outside opinions for be able to formulate your own.If you don t have the confidence it takes to make a decision on your own maybe moving out isnt a good idea for you at this time in your life.

Sallie, are you looking to attend college? If so, check out the various universities throughout Georgia, and apply to one that suits your needs. If you re not going to school and just want to move to Atlanta, know that you ll have a difficult finding employment. If things are working for you in Savannah, stay. It s certainly a beautiful city. But again, I think you should be concentrating on what school to attend once you finish high school. Georgia Southern in Statesboro isn t too far from Savannah, and it s got a lot going for it.

If you have a good relationship with your parents, talk to them about whether you could move back if things don t work out. But DO move! Save up some money first, though. Work extra hard for a few months. Save tons of money...study the place you plan to move. Set a date. Visit the city for a few days...stay in a hotel, take a friend. Explore. Find a job. Pack. Move. Grow. Enjoy...do it again in a few years...You ll be glad you did!

Well you are employed you know your home town because you lived there all your life. I think you should stay there but you need to move several miles away from where you are to be independent get your own apartment, and provide for yourself.I wish you loads of luck.

There are plenty of colleges in Atlanta. I don t need to tell you that. You know what they are. I would move. You re young. Experience something new. If you don t like it and you miss your friends and family too much you can always go back home.

Yeah I would move. Yes you should move, then you can learn how to do things on you re own. You should go where you re cousin is.

New York is a big city..Is it safe out there? -

Ok, so my name is Alexis and I m 13 years old. When I turn 18 I want to move to New York to persue my dream which is to become a model and also to become a fashion designer. My cousin recently told me that living in New York is really tough, especially since the people there are so rude. I m kind of having doubts about moving there when I turn 18. Is New York a good place to move to? And, also, where in NYC is a good place to live? I know I shouldnt be thinking about this at the age I am now, because I have a long ways ahead of me. But, I m just so excited! I can t wait until I turn 18!

The truth is, you are young, and a lot may happen between now and then. However, I moved to NYC when I was around the same age you are thinking about. I was 17, and I came here to go to college. I loved living here so much, I made it my home. I have now lived in NYC for over 30 years. I have married here and am raising my own family here. I think NYC is a perfectly wonderful place to live!Yes, New Yorkers can be brusque and hurried. People often think we are rude. But the truth is, New Yorkers can be really friendly when it counts. We just meet more strangers here than people do in other places. We cannot acknowledge them all, every minute of the day. We d lose our minds! But most people here are perfectly nice, once you get to know them. It does take a certain kind of person to live here. Big cities are not for everyone. The only way to know if you will really like it here is to come. After a while, you ll know if you belong here or now. But for now, finish high school and enjoy being a kid. You ll see when you ARE 18 what you really want to do. So much can change between now and later.

go to college for fashion and design first- Theres some in new York! The Art Institute in New York City- http://www.artinstitutes.edu/newyork/Berkeley College Of New York City- http://www.berkeleycollege.edu/Fashion Institute Of Technology- http://www.fitnyc.edu/Parsons The New School for Design- http://www.parsons.newschool.edu/While you go to school, you can still pursue your dream of modeling to possibly pay for school and establish connections so you can get a job designing after school is over. The fact is going to college is much safer due to the fact that you can live in a dorm on campus for four years! Remember to well in high school and dont give up on your dreams!

NYC is statistically the safest big city in America:http://www.nypost.com/seven/06032009/newThere aren t statistics to show that people aren t rude, but really they aren t. There is a fast pace to NYC life, which creates a directness and brusqueness that people form other places sometimes need to adjust to. Every year thousands of 18 year olds move to New York to attend college. If it s what you want to do when the time comes, there s no reason why you should have doubts. And if you re interested in modeling and fashion design, there s no better city in which to get started.

When you are 18? Things get more expensive and tougher. Get into Columbia and model at same time. Nowadays? Brains are important for Fashion companies .

i think you need to think long and hard about moving to new york not a place for a young lady at 18.

It is safe as long as you be careful and do what your suppose to do and not do anything stupid!!!

nyc is safe fo0l.thanks to michael bloomberg and barrack obama!
