What are the business hours for Seoul Oriental Market in Salt Lake City, Utah? -

Their phone number is 801-266-2228. Call them and ask.

New York City .... Heeeellllllllllllllppppppppppp!? -

Im 16 and am to go to New York next summer to live with my cousin and work over there for the summer . I ll be 17 when I going. Do I need a work visa or a holiday visa or what ?

You d most likely need a work visa if you plan on getting a job. Please bear in mind that NY s economy is in the toilet and the likelihood of you finding a job is pretty slim.

Where (exactly) will you be coming from? It just helps to give the most concise answer.

People from Detroit, can you please answer my question.? -

I come from the UK, I have heard lots of rumours about it:Are people always getting shot?Is there lots of racism? Is there lots of crime?I would like to travel all round America someday, I wanna visit lots of different places, good and bad. I think Detroit is well known for its music, and I love music. Would it be safe for me to visit as a white British woman?

its funny u metion bein a british white girl my brother had a female friend come visit him and she was from the uk some lil town south of london but anyways nothing happened to her she stayed for 2 months.... as for detroit yea it is dangerous u just got to be smart when ever your in detroit like dont flash money around, make sure your car doors are locked, avoid bein out at night unless ur in downtown detroit. my advise would be to go sight seeing during the day mexicantown in southwest detroit and downtown are real safe due to high number of cops patroling the area (lots of white folks from the suburbs come to the spots so u would blend rite in)

Detroit is a beautiful city... yes it does have it s rough parts and crime it s not in all parts of the city but there is so much to do and see and crime happens in any city. There are many great theaters that you could see plays and music in if you decide to come. Sports are big too and many bars around that area and many casinos. other things to do outside of the city there is also a lot more to the state of Michigan if your looking to get out of the city there is Frankenmuth which is a great place with great food and shopping and on the way there, there is Birch Run which is an outlet mall with a ton of great stores There is the zoo which is in Royal OakThe Detroit institute of Artsthe Motown Museumthe Greenfield Village in Dearborn hope this helps

Detroit is like any major city. Just like London there are the parts that tourists go and they don t go. Just imagine a stranger who was visiting London. Would you tell them it was ok to go everywhere at any time. Most of the violence that happens in Detroit is in the neighborhoods and has nothing to do with the innocent. Like any trip you should be worried more about those who prey on tourists to cheat them out of their money. As far a race, Detroit is again much like London. There are a ton of blacks and whites who work together, are in relationships, and live in the same communities. Not to mention all of the other races that make up this major metropolitan area. Just take this model and use it for any of the cities that you visit on your travels. All major cities are the same. You just have to be smart and aware.

no people aren t always getting shot, but just like in any other city people can get shot its just more likely to happen here. There isn t really a lot of racism in Detroit. It s prominently black, but if your not it doesn t mean people are going to threaten you and stuff. There is crime more than some other cities, but I wouldn t say a lot. I feel very safe where I live and you have to remember that there are different parts, some much safer than others.

I m from Michigan and visit Detroit often. I have never been shot, nor been the victim of any other type of crime, while visiting. Not to say that it doesn t happen...just as it might happen in any other city in the world. If you visit Detroit, use common sense. Stay in the high-traffic, well-lit areas and always be aware of your surroundings.I honestly feel that Detroit is a fairly diverse and tolerant city compared to other areas of the country.

From my house you can often here gunshots and there is a lot of racism. A park near my house is known for drug deals and there was a shoot out there between a cop and a drug dealer a couple weeks ago. We have a lot of music downtown during festivals. Depending where you stay and where you go, it could be safe.

Yes, detroit is dangerous. It is murder capital of the U.S. and the murder rate is about 25X higher than the UK murder rate. About 500-600 murders occur there each year which is high considering less than a million people live in detroit. Some areas in detroit look like 3rd world countries and you will see poor people all over the streets sleeping and eating. Being a foreign tourist, people may try to take advantage of that. I woudn t walk the streets alone and being white could maybe make u target because they think u have money.stay in the uk sweety and have a cup tea.

Detroit is not as bad as a lot of people think it is. I grew up there before moving to Chicago and I feel safe there. You might not feel as safe but you should be fine. Just don t go into the hood and you will be fine. Other than the hoods in Detroit, the rest of the state and downtown Detroit is nice.

Racism is MUCH worse in most other parts of the U.S. trust me. As for crime, Detroit really isn t much different than any other city in the U.S. and, Canada. All you have to do is use common sense and, don t get involved with any crimes involving drugs (which is what is the center of most Detroit crimes).

people aint always gettin shot... there s racism but not as much as there was... there is crime but not as much as there was... drugs, violence, all that crap... but then again what big city dont got that? it would be safe for ya to come visit but stay off the streets after dusk cause you aint never know whats gonna happen next... music here is really all hip hop, rap, whatever ya wanna call it. you here a lot of biggie, 2pac, eminem (older music), cypress hill, basically older rap, but that sh!ts the best anyways. detroit changed a lil bit, we aint in the 90s no more. and trust me on all that, im from the north side of 8 mile.

Practice by going into some of the rough parts of London, or perhaps Manchester, whichever is closer to where you live. That should get you an idea of what to expect.

All major metropolitan areas have their share of crime and homelessness.

yes yes yes and finally yes, just down play the Brit thing and you ll be fine...d

What accent?

Yes there is a lot of crime and yes people do get shot in Detroit, but for racism I have seen few other places as accepting of other races as Detroit is. I have been to thirty different states. but grew up in the D. My parents still live there and they have had things stolen, no matter what time of day. As for random acts of violence, I can t say that is common. Usually violent crimes are related to drugs and/or gangs. Though I do suggest you keep car doors locked when driving in Detroit. Just to be safe. Downtown is where most tourist go and police are pretty thick there. Most of the crime happens within the surrounding Detroit, where the mass majority of the residents live. I do hope you see it and get to enjoy the rich history of Detroit.

National parks in California - which is best over January? -

I m planning on renting a cabin in the first week of January. Where should I go? I d prefer somwhere that isn t too cold. Also, can anyone recommend a secluded cabin/cottage that isn t close to any other buldings? Thanks

Go to Yosemite National Park.It s so beautiful!

Ooh, I know! I have a perfect place that fits your criteria: National Park, not too close to any other buildings, and not too cold: Alcatraz Island!Sometimes I crack myself up.If you want a cabin, those are going to be in the mountains, which get pretty darn cold in the winter. I ll tell you what, though: Here s a web site where you can start to look. Because there s no place that will fit all your criteria (a secluded cabin in a national park in California that s not cold in winter).http://www.nps.gov/findapark/index.htm

lol yosemite- hope you have your own helicopter. the least cold places would be Joshua Tree area, Death Valley and the Salton sea area.. there probably wont be anyone there but i cant name a secluded cabin off the top of my head, ha ha. if you want woods and not desert, seqouia is a little more cold but definetly no one there in the winter.

try yosemite. (although it s a little cold) and i wish i could help with the cabin renting, but i don t remember where the wonderful secluded cabin i stayed at a couple years ago is. but look around, and I m sure you ll find something :)

check out big bear or Yosemite.the triple a (AAA) has booklets/ guides that will help you.Pay no mind to other recommendations. They have Beverly Hills taste, and you might have a Canoga Park pocket book. So either google a few places yourself or use the auto club

Is it bad to think of everyone who lives in kentucky and tennesse as rednecks? -

i live in california and i thiink of everyone who lives in the central US as hicks. i mean, what do you do out there? are there stay at home moms? do people have redcoulous amounts of kids?

I think it is pretty bad to assume that. There are going to be hicks and rednecks in every state. California even. Kentucky is most known for horse racing and that is not a hick past time. Quite the opposite actually. I live in Tennessee and am far from a hick. I have two college degree s from a private liberal art s college, I ride hunter jumpers, and have lived all over the United States (including Camarillo, California). I believe I am very well rounded, cultured, and educated. Not typical qualities of a hick. The part of TN I live in is very populated and very diverse. Tennessee s music culture has heavily influenced music today. TN has had a variety of talent come from it. Yes country and bluegrass but rap, jazz, and the blues as well. One of the best research hospitals for children is St. Jude s in Memphis as well as 2008 s #1 ranked zoo.I can t speak for everyone else out here but what I do for fun is play with my dogs, do stained glass, go out and party with friends, travel, go to different festivals and events, go to the movies, try new recipes, compete in hunter equitation horse shows, spending time in nature, and trying new things/activities (especially wine!). A lot of women here LOVE their shopping (seems like everyone here has a collection of Coach purses), personally I hate shopping- I d rather spend my money experiencing new things, making memories, and living live to the fullest. There are stay at home mom s everywhere and people have ridiculous amount of kids everywhere including California (octomom). I am 24 and married and I have no kids and plan on keeping it that way for quite awhile. When me and my husband do decide to have kids I probably continue to work (even if it s just part time) as I find it fulfilling. I enjoy my job. When you think of TN or KY being all hicks think of these very non hickish famous people:From TN: the first elected woman senator (Hattie Caraway), Morgan Freeman, Aretha Franklin, Isaac Hayes, 3 US Presidents, Shannen Doherty, Justin Timberlake, Project Pat, Three Six Mafia, Lil White, Judge Joe Brown (this past October I even saw him while I was out to eat), the band Saliva, Al Green, and of course we cant forget Elvis and Johnny Cash. From KY: Hunter S. Thompson, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Ashley Judd, Diane Sawyer, William Shatner, Nick Lachey, the founder of Papa John s Pizza, Muhammad Ali, Larry Flint, Duncan Hines, Kelly RutherfordI realize this is isn t everyone but these are some pretty notable people and even though a lot of them are in CA now, their roots come from TN and KY... just something to think about.

Yeah that s pretty stupid... until you visit and get to know people from a certain area you shouldn t believe the stereotypes... you are from California therefore you must be a tree hugging, tofu eating, beach bum surfing, shallow botox injected human being... are you any of those things? I am not sure if it s bad but it definitely is ignorant and moronic... especially to assume ALL are...

Most people from KY, TN, and the central U.S are quite a bit smarter than you. Yhey can all spell TENNISSEE (you can t). They know which letters of a sentence to capitalize. I think a little spelling, som geography, and Learning about society in these areas would be a boon to your perception of anyone else other than California.

See now THAT is stereotypical...don t assume what they do when YOU don t even know..have you ever even gone there to know what its REALLY like? I don t think so...what do people do in California? Girls get pregnant when they re 16, they re slutty and don t think of anyone else but themselves. And I would know this because I ve been to California and a lot of people there are like that. And I live in Michigan.

There are really cool cities in those states and even some progressive ones, so yes, you can t really generalize. And yes, there are hicks, stay at home moms, and people with huge families, just like parts of California.

yes i live in TN i am not a red neck ... people move all the time, there for there are different people in different places

Yes, this kind of thinking is bad.

Whats better, arkansas, north carolina, or california?? -

North Carolina! I ve been to all those states and in NC the people are the nicest, you ve got the beach, the mountains, and four full seasons. There s nothing like the south!

Never been to Arkansas. But I live in California and have family in North Carolina.I d prefer North Carolina overall (Raleigh area.) I LOVE it there!

Depends... Better at what? I ve been to two of the three states mentioned, even lived in one, so I ll have to choose North Carolina.

Caifornia.

What do you think is the best place in Cincinnati, ohio to get your hair cut? -

I want to get my hair trimmed and layered

Supercuts.

In my opinion, it s the stylist that s more important than the salon itself. Getting to know a stylist, so that he or she is able to get to know you, your style, and your hair, will help you end up with a better cut.I go to Head First in Clifton on Ludlow Avenue. It is not a glamorous, high-profile salon, but the stylists are friendly, talented and they know their stuff.

Newkirk s Barber Shop407 Broadway Street, Cincinnati, OH

Identity salons

I d avoid that place on McHenry.

Moving to Washington from Hawaii...? -

24 years old recently divorce (because my ex wanted to be a bachelor) with two kids (4yo 1yo) wants to move from Hawaii to Washington in about 6 months to start over .. I will not be shipping over my car .. I will be looking for a second hand on there .. what should I know of the state before moving? How much do you think I should save before making this move? Not sure exactly what city .. all I know is that its close to Oregon .. and I have two family members all ready living there but I would like to get my own apartment.

This is travel Washington, DC.Please note: There is only one city in Washington, DC you missed your mark by 3,000 miles.

DC Bob gets the thumbs up! Waaay up!

Which is better washington or nevada? -

which one is better to live in

It s all what you make of it ... both offer both high and low density population areas, both offer water and mountains, both offer people who are wonderful as well as people who are boring ***-holes, both offer a wide range of weather patterns.

We do mean Washington the District of Columbia, not the State, right? If D.C., then I don t how it s better to live in it than Nevada nor vice-versa. I ve been to D.C. once and Nevada once or twice (just not to Vegas for the casinos).

Which is better an apple or and orange?
