Is venice beach in California or in Florida? -

If its in both, which one does everyone talk about, or which one is more popular? Also is what is the best within 100 miles spot of me, spring break location spot? Also can a 17 yr old get a hotel/motel room?

Venice Beach is in California. There is a Venice in Florida that s along the gulf coast, just south of St. Petersburg. But, the one in California is just below Santa Monica and it s the one everyone always talks about. This is mostly because it s right next to Los Angeles. So, a lot more people go there, either because they live in LA or because they re there on vacation. I don t know where would be closer to you, because you don t say where you are. I would think there are as many spring breakers at both locations, since so many east coasters and midwesterners go to Florida for spring break. And, places like Palm Springs or Mexico might be more appealing to west coasters, since it s so much warmer than on the coast that time of year. And no, a 17 year old can t get a hotel room. You have to be 18 at least. And, some nicer or more expensive places might even require you to be older (like 21 or 25).

I wouldn t consider Venice Beach, CA a Spring Break spot for teens. It s expensive and kinda dirty. There are numerous homeless begging for money to buy drugs (at least they re honest), various artists selling their works along the beach path and marginally employed and talented people playing music or being acrobats. Parking is expensive and nonexistent. Then there are the never-ending drum circles on the weekend.... Florida and some Texas beaches (South Padre Island) are known more for their Spring Break party scene than California. The water is too cold in California in the month of March to swim in. You can t get a hotel room at the age of 17.

definetely Venice beach in CA is more well known. it is known for having a wide variety of low end, but uniqe and cool shops and has some of the weirdest people you will ever see, not like creepy weird but interesting. it s a pretty cool place for a day trip during the summer.

Both. Except one doesn t have the word beach in it.Ex:Venice Beach, CAVenice, FLAnd no, a 17 year old can not rent a hotel/motel room.

Its a beach south of Santa Monica, CA . Nothing special about itm really.17 and want to get a hotel room? gotta be at least 18 with a valid credit card ( in your name).

Car trip from NY to the Grand Canyon - is it open? -

This Christmas for 2 weeks, my roommate and I want to drive from NY to see the Grand Canyon but someone told me that it will be closed? If so, couldn t I see it anyway? Does anyone have any suggestions which route to go? Also, what are the things we defintely need to bring with us on this car trip? I m so excited!--

The basicsTechnically speaking both Rims of GCNP are openAlmost all of the the facilities on the S.Rim are open in winter But a few hotels do close down On the N.Rim all l the facilities and the road leading to them are closed in winter However if you wanted to drive to Jacob Lake AZ , park your car and then snowshoe /ski/hike into the Park the NPS would let you do it .If you wanted to spend any time camped below Rim the NPS would require you to have a Backcountry Use Permit When you drive cross-counrty in winter you absolutely must be prepared to spend a night or two living out of your vehicle .You can do everything right and if a semi or two gets sideways ,blocks an interstate and closes it for a couple of days being prepared can be a life saver Let the weather be your guide and try not to get too enamored with one route But rather adjust on the fly to be where the bad wether isn t Realotically in winter this is a 4 day trip ..each way This would be my ideal routing ...and Yes I ve driven it in winterCome over the GW and take I-80W to tyhe junction of I-76W @ JulesbergNEI-76W to I-70 at Denver Stop either an hour east or a half hor west of DenverNext day Pop this intomapquest or whatever just ignore their timesDEN Moab UT Hanksville UT Torrey UT Escalante UT MountCarmel JunctionUT Hurricane UT Colorado City AZ Jacob Lake AZ GCN FLG Tuba CityAZ Mexican Hat UT Cortez CO Walsenberg CO ABQ then I-40 E to I-81 N to I-78E and thru the Holland tunnel.Since i just sent you thru six NPs you will need an $80.00 National Parks Pass get it when you visit Arches NP in Moab UTWhne your west of I-25 get into the habit of getting gas before you really need it My MO for doing long road trips is to hit the road by 5:00AM do a quick 150-200 miles and then grab breakfast Safe trip and enjoy the West

http://www.nps.gov/grca/index.htmThis site will answer a lot of questionsThere s also a FAQ list and Contact Us linkLooks like they are closed in the Winter.. But the place is huge I didnt read all of it. Ive been there several times, but always summer.

Whats the easiest way to get from Disney World to I-92 mile marker 11? -

I know there is a way to go from Disney to one exit to another exit and be on 1-92... help!

A car is the best way to get around if you are not staying on Disney property. If not a taxi will cost you.

There is no I-92 anywhere in the United States. Now if you want to be on US 192, follow the signs out of Disney towards US 192 and then head east.

leave Disney area and go onto I4 and come off on 192, that s the way we go anyway. hope I helped.

why would you want to leave?
