Fun things to do in Monterey, CA? -

What are some fun things to do in Monterey CA? I am thinking of taking a trip there with my boyfriend around New Years time. What is there to do this time of year? Thanks!

The best thing in town is the aquarium on Cannery Row. If you re into shopping there are outlet stores just uphill from there, and there are lots of touristy and artsy shops along the Row. Lots of shops on Fisherman s Wharf, too, and OK if not terrific restauarants. There are some nice hotels in town, as well as a bunch of OK to pretty nice motels, but a neat place to stay if you can get in is at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, an adjacent town. Widely separated residence buildings with 6 to 8 nice units each, located in a woods, with a short walk to the beach.

If you have 3 to 4 days, plan a trip to Cannery Row / Aquarium and shops in the area -- one day.Take the 17 mile drive and stop and walk along the beach (take your time)-- day two.Rent a place in Carmel that overlooks the ocean, then take daily walks along the dog beach -- day three. Eat out at least three expensive restaurants (plan on $100) per couple, as dining is pricey.Check out Laguna/Seca for any races.Have fun.

San Jose- Winchester Mystery House and Great Mall outlets in Milpitas. Santa Cruz area- 30 mins from San Jose and less than an hour away south of San Francisco Santa Cruz Beach Boalkwalk - http://www.beachboardwalk.com/ The Mystery Spot : http://www.mysteryspot.com/ Another 20 mins away- The famous Monterey Bay Aquarium/Pier- stay overnight. (Romantic)check out the beautiful shore of Carmel to view Pebble Beach.Napa Wine Country is about 2 hours north of San Francisco. They have wine tour that brings you there form any SF hotels. Visit their outlet and Wines tours. Yummy!

If you have a car, head down south on Highway 1 and soon you will see some of the most beautiful coastline anywhere. Get out and hike around at Point Lobos. It s awesome.

you could watch gay s hold hands while the sun sets, thats always nice

Do you like rainy days? -

I live in a place without a lot of rain? It rains today. I like rainy days. Like someone says....it is nice to get a warm blanket sitting in front of a fire place and read a book. Do you like rainy days? Share your thoughts!

Not a big fan of rain, unless it comes in the form of thunderstorms. And I hate snow. Personally, I prefer warm dry sunny weather

i LOVE rainy days i live in the desert in Washington, i know weird and boring, and it is such a thrill to get rainy days! we had a thunderstorm last summer and my friends and i went out into the middle of bfe just to watch. it was so amazing to see the lightning strike all around us. We reported several fires that started and even watched lightning strike the main power building thing. the next day we found out that there were 14 fires started. it was awesome!! i love rainy days :)

I love rainy days! They are my favorite. I like to use my space heater, and read a book. I also like walking in the rain and smelling the weird rain smell. Haha. Its so fun. But I hate snowy days. Its too cold. And its snowing today:(

I enjoy cloudy days. Some rain is okay, as long as it isn t flooding rain. I hate hot weather and I m not that fond of the sun, especially in the summer.

To me, a born/bred native of Washington, it depends on the harshness of the falling of the rain.

i do like that, as well as the rain but not 4 ever, or every freaking day, god we need some worm weather

yes i like rain a lot better than snow that we get

I love rain 3

Flying out of PHX at night- what are the flashing blue amp; purple lights below? -

It looked like a carnival or something huge. These were not Christmas lights- the property was too big the lights were much brighter than any of its surroundings.

Probably US Airways arena where the Suns play. They have purple lights on the roof of it.

I don t know but I hate for you to get stuck with the other response. You didn t mention what time of year you saw these lights. You could try calling AAA or FAA for suggestions as to who might have an answer for you,

probably cops, majority of government money goes to cops in this city
