In the movie, 60B is presumed to be near Elizabethtown, KY, which is a real city. Parts of the movie were actually shot in that city. However, the 60B sign was made as a wooden prop just for the movie and doesn t actually exist in real life. If it was real, the sign would certainly be mounted onto a metal post, like all other road signs. It s hard to say..Is there anywhere specific you d like to work? I mean, like what field? Retail, Restaurant, etc.?I know, for sure, that Chik-Fil-A will hire 16 year olds. H-E-B hires them, too.It s tricky trying to find a job when you re 16.I tried to find a job in the mall when I was 17 because they tell you that you can be 16 to work at a certain store.But in reality, two of my friends that worked in two different stores in the mall,told me that they won t hire you in a retail store at the mall unless you have a lot of experience (which is rare). No experience and you re usually still in high school. Most stores don t want to have to deal with your school schedule.It s required by law that they have some kind of requirement saying you can be under 18,but never really hire anyone under 18.
Whatever you do, don t get a job at Bill Miller s if you re a teenage guy. You ll be on your knees scrubbing toilets and doing all the dirty work while the older workers/teenage girls take it easy sitting around.. maybe once in awhile taking an order.

Sanibel Island is a wonderful destination at any time of year. There are delights during every season. June can be hot and humid, but not so much as July, August and September. There are not very many people on the Island in June but many more so in July and the first two weeks of August when Europeans vacation.As you may know, Sanibel is largely a nature preserve. That makes it special. It is more than a beach or a tropical resort. Ding Darling, the nature preserve, takes up nearly two thirds of the Island. The Island is green and serene, but it does have a lot of restaurants and shops. There are an enormous amount of things you can do during the day from swimming, biking, boating to tennis, golfing, parasailing.....and many more activities.Or, you can just go to the beach or pool and do nothing at all.I own 2 vacation rental properties on the Island but live many states away. I wish I lived on Sanibel year round but that day will come!I keep a blog on the Island with a lot of information on things to do and background on the Island.
