Have you been to Sanibel Island Florida? -

I am considering visiting Sanibel Island Florida in June for my vacation. Has anyone ever been there? Did you enjoy it? I will greatly appreciate any information on the area. Thank you

Sanibel Island is a beautiful spot...if you love walking the beach and collecting seashells then you will love this place.. it pretty much has everything to do and is not far from Tampa airport.. check out their website:http://www.sanibelisland.com/

Sanibel Island is a wonderful destination at any time of year. There are delights during every season. June can be hot and humid, but not so much as July, August and September. There are not very many people on the Island in June but many more so in July and the first two weeks of August when Europeans vacation. As you may know, Sanibel is largely a nature preserve. That makes it special. It is more than a beach or a tropical resort. Ding Darling, the nature preserve, takes up nearly two thirds of the Island. The Island is green and serene, but it does have a lot of restaurants and shops. There are an enormous amount of things you can do during the day from swimming, biking, boating to tennis, golfing, parasailing.....and many more activities.Or, you can just go to the beach or pool and do nothing at all.I own 2 vacation rental properties on the Island but live many states away. I wish I lived on Sanibel year round but that day will come!I keep a blog on the Island with a lot of information on things to do and background on the Island. My blog URL is:http://sanibel-rentalsnet.blogspot.com/Happy to help if you have more questions.Have a great time!

Once, when I was a kid. That was about 25 years ago. I remember the island having nice beaches
