I lived in Miami for many years and wanted to move after getting married to escape the crime and toppling housing market (which is happening a lot of places but really badly there)I ended up in Pittsburgh, PA area. About 40 minutes north of the city. great place, decent amount of things to do and really no crime. The cost of living is pretty low and the people are great! very friendly and the love their sports here! My wife and I were also able to buy a home, and through research found out Pittsburgh is one of the safest markets in which to buy right now.
