To all my NYC fans, what is your fav place in Manhattan? -

My favorite place in Manhattan is around Central Park West 72nd Street because I m a huge John Lennon fan. I love to visit his memorial in Central Park look at the Dakota building that he lived in. WHAT ABOUT YOU? P.S. NYC is the best place on earth.

my favorite place is times square.everything is there: movies, ripley s museum, and a bunch of other stores that really bring the life out of me.at night, it s truly spectacular because you can walk around just times square and be amazed at the dazzling lights and glowing streets.

Well, as someone who lives here, I don t have just one favorite place!I like to go to the Cloisters and look out over the Hudson River. I like to go to the Met at Christmas when they have the big Choir Screen up and a tree decorated with carved wooden figures from the middle ages.I like to go to the fountain at Lincoln Center at night. (If they d ever finish renovating the plaza there! The last time I was there it was all plywood and mud!!!! But it IS beautiful when it s not being renovated!) I love just walking around the West Village along the quieter streets. And, you know, for those of us who live here, there are places that are not in Manhattan that we love too!I love taking a stroll along the Brooklyn Bridge. Nothing can beat that!

I agree, NYC is the best place on earth!!Any of the villages are my faves, love Jeff Buckley s ol stomping grounds. Was just there for the annual tribute show in November at Arlene s Grocery. Love NYC so much, we are moving there in May!!Peace~

My favorite place is the Empire State Building. The wait can take hours and hours before you get to the top of the building, but it s always worth it because the view is amazing!

Times Square, Central Park, and too many pizzerias to mention!

I know this is a stupid question but Is there a difference between Miami and Miami Beach, FL? -

Are they two separate cities?...Is Miami Beach the better part?

Yes, they are two separate cities with separate taxes and postal codes and whatnot, except the same bus system is shared. Having lived in both places, the beach is much nicer. The land area is thin and moves along north to south up and down the coast and is narrow. It is typically more expensive to live in North beach or South beach as opposed to the City of Miami or its suburbs, but then again that would depend on if you are single or supporting kids.Good luck.

Good Adventures for Kauai!? -

I am going to Kauai next week, we already bought the little blue book, but anyone who has been or lives there good ideas to go do and see? We are staying at the HYATT, trying to figure out day by day what we should do, going to be there for eight days! We already have one thing planned, its floating down on tubes an all day trip seems fun, anything else? Let me know! Thanks!

The innertube adventure isn t an all day thing, just so you know. It s a few hours at most, and that includes a stop for lunch. (I ve done it three different times.)I recommend a helicopter flight (InterIsland is the best), a catamaran ride to see dolphins, the Na Pali coastline, and maybe whales (Captain Andy s), and ziplining (Kauai Backcountry Adventures -- the same people who do the innertube tour). Kayaking the Wailua River is also fun. Since you already have the book, I won t bother you with links. Just look up the things I ve mentioned in the back of the book.

Sacramento to SFO by car or By Bus or by Train? -

We are going abroad for a month. We live in Sacramento. We are departing from San Francisco. What is the best way to reach SFO without Hassles. Any one know cheap parking in SFO if we travel by car or cheap public transportation? Please let us know. Thanks

Amtrak to Oakland and BART to SFO.Parking at SFO long term lot will still run you $10 a day or so.

Get a friend to give you a ride to the Amtrak station. Take Amtrak to the Richmond station. Once there you jump on BART to SFO.Amtrak costs about $25.00 each way. BART is another $10.00Ignore the answer that suggest you go to Oakland. You are overshooting your goal. When you consider gas, parking, bridge tolls this is a way cheaper option.

take the metro or the train
