How long does it take to get from Penn to Newark Airport on the AirTrain? -

I need to be at the airport by noon tomorrow... what s the best time for me to catch the AirTrain from Penn Station to Newark Airport? Is there a schedule? Should I get there early because of the holidays? Any info on the AirTrain is appreciated! Thanks!

The trip from Penn Station in New York City to Newark Airport will take about 30 minutes. This includes a transfer to the Airtrain at Newark Airport train station on NJ Transit s Northeast Corridor Line. The one way fare, included a transfer fee to the Airtrain, will cost you $15.The link below is a pdf copy of the train time table for the Northeast Corridor Line. Please give yourself plenty of travel time.Good luckNative New Yorker

New Years Eve @ New York? -

Me and a few of my friends decided last minute that it would be great to go to NYC for New Years Eve and party one last time before we all graduate college. We live in Michigan, and I am not very familiar with New York City. My Questions: What is a good cheap place we can stay in for three nights? Can we stay some where in New Jersey and then take the subway to NYC?Would you recommend going to clubs or hanging out by times square? Any other information would help... Thanks for the help in advance

You may want to get a room as quickly as you can. Try Priceline, Quikbook, or Kayak but be aware that Christmas to Jan. 2 is the most expensive time in NYC. If you plan on going to Times Square, you need to get there very early, like in the afternoon, where you will be placed in a pen. If you leave for food or to find a bathroom (good luck with that) you will not be allowed back to your place. It s not for the faint hearted. I d find a club or go to the fireworks in Central Park.

If you want to save money, consider staying Jersey City, NJ. You can still take the PATH train into and out of Manhattan. The link below shows the rates for a night stay in one of the many hotels in Jersey City.http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-477673?fIn regards on where you want to go to Times Square or a club, well, that up to you. However, if you don t want to deal with the crowds in Times Square, I would recommend going to a club. The links below will be very helpful.http://www.timeout.com/newyork/http://newyork.metromix.com/eventsGood luck and enjoy your trip

Consider staying in Hoboken NJ, or Staten Island NY. That way it will be cheaper, and plus you have the easiest transportation right into manhattan (a ferry!)Nightclubs in NYC near times square is amazing, so if you re into club scenes, definitely go go go!!!But to hang out in times square when the ball drops is very very very crowded, and if it s going to be cold, you may not have as much fun as everyone looks on tv. When it s cold, you have to pee, but guess what? No bathrooms!!!!

Here is a link to the official NPS website. It looks like Tulelake would have the closest accommodations.Their do not appear to be any sort of services in the park.It looks to be about a 6 hour drive from Sacramento in good weather. Double that if it is snowing.http://www.nps.gov/labe/index.htm

If it is 5pm in phx, AZ what time would it be in portland, Oregon? -

4pm I believe?

From first Sunday in November to second Sunday in March: the entire region of Arizona is UTC-7, so it is one hour ahead of Portland (which is UTC-8 during PST). 5 pm in Phoenix occurs at the same time as 4 pm in Portland. The rest of the year, the non-Indian reservation areas remain UTC-7, but the Pacific Time Zone switches from UTC-8 to UTC-7 (aka PDT), so 5 pm in Phoenix is 5 pm in Portland.Curiously, the Indian reservationsespecially Navajo Nationswitch to UTC-6 for DST.

That would depend on whether it is daylight savings time or not. Since Arizone does have daylight savings time. (the last I heard anyhow) it would be the same time during daylight savings time and an hour early on regular time. Which is what we are in now.

oregon is an hour behind arizona except during daylight savings time.during daylight savings time its the same :)

4pm

It would be time to leave this wet armpit!
