17th birthday in disney? -

I m turning 17 in the turn of the new year and I am going to Disney world. I have been there every year since I ve been born and somtimes twice a year so as you can imagine it is like a second home to me. I ve watched programs on tv on things that people don t really know about disney, but I was wondering if anyone knew of anything cool and off beat that I could do for my birthday whelst there. Any suggestions would be great.

Make sure the cast members know you re celebrating by getting a birthday button at a retail location(your best bet is the Emporium on Main St.)--they ll be sure to make it a special day for you! As far as something cool and off beat that you could do, you might think about taking one of the many tours Disney offers. The Backstage Magic tour is a really cool way to get some inside information on the parks, especially since you re so familiar with the on-stage experience! As far as your dining experience is concerned, a great (and new) place to eat is the T-Rex Cafe in Downtown Disney-great food and a pretty cool atmosphere. It is owned and produced by the same company as Rainforest Cafe, but has a lot of new and advanced special effects. Have a magical trip and a very happy birthday!

I celebrated my birthday in WDW this past summer. We went to dinner at O Hana s. We saw the Wishes fireworks, we could hear the music too, while dining. We also saw the electric light parade on the water. It was fabulous! If you go there, you just have to make sure that Wishes is scheduled for that evening. One place you may not know about, is Kidani Village. It just opened in May. They have a restaurant called Sanaa with floor to ceiling windows, where you can watch the animals from the savannah. Have a great birthday!

How much are utilities for a 1 bedroom apartment in Atlanta? -

Could someone give me an estimate? Like I said, it s a 1 bedroom apartment, 750 sq feet, heat: electric, central a/c, range: electric, utilities included: gas. And again, it s in Atlanta. It will also just be me and I will be gone about 90% of the time. Also, what is the average cost of a landline phone and basic cable? High speed internet is available, so I just need to know about basic cable.I was thinking the cost might be about $135 a month.

I live in a 770 sq. foot apartment in Atlanta, my electric is about $25/month, gas is (it varies) about $35-$75/month, I have Comcast cable its about $77/month, my landline phone is $27/month. My water/trash is included in my rent at my apartment complex.

I suggest calling the gas and electric companies to determine the history of the apartment you re renting. They ll be able to tell you what the prior tenant paid. You might want to call whatever company services your area (ie. Comcast) to get bundled phone, computer, cable service -- which would save you money.

I would estimate more than $135 a month.Electric - $70Gas - $30Water/Sewer/Trash - $20Phone and Cable - $50Internet - $40So, about $210

How do people who live on really crowded fasted-paced streets take their dog for a walk? -

Do they just walk their dog amidst the busy sea of people on the sidewalk and train their dog to wait to go to the bathroom where there are less people around?

Dogs know to go to bathroom off the curb. People and dogs are used to being walked 3 x per day.. Dogs and people live together in the same small areas. In residential neighborhoods it is not that crowded on the street. Many people have several dogs. Dogwalkers often walk 10 dogs at one time on leashes. All the poop has to be picked up.

I was talking about Manhattan. You can train them to do their biz in the street. You just get used to lots of people on the street and you know your neighbors and their dogs. Report Abuse

People in NY who walk their pooches down busy streets teach their beloved to whizz on people waiting for the light to change.----They just think its warm snow

Texans i need your help!? -

the wife and i want to move to texas, but we have no clue as to what areas are better than others. We both work for national chains and can transfer pretty much anywhere in texas.. so any suggestions? we are looking for somewhere not ghetto and just regular middle class america to start a family

Suburban Dallas might be a match for you. There are nice middle class communities throughout the area, not just in the suburbs north of the city.

There is every possible chain store in the Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas area. You can read their papers on line for more info. Another area is Hurst, Bedford Euless,( East of Fort Worth, West of Arlington.) These suburbs known as HEB. All these run togeather. There is some undevoloped areas before Dallas after Fort Worth on I30 but filling up more every year. I would suggest suburbs and not inside city area. I have good friends that live in area near Austin called Cedar Park. Another suggestion is look up the Chamber of Commerence for more info on your final decisions.

Hi..I d love to help you if I could. I am a life-long Texan. I live in Longview in Eastern Texas off I-20 near Shreveport La. I have also lived on the gulf coast region, so basically I know my way around. You don t mention any details of why types of cities you like or more rural. Longview is considered to be economically stable and doing well. Come see what we can off you. Fee free to email and talk. I can hook you up with info about different areas of texas...email me.

I live in The Woodlands Tx. It is a great area and it is growing rapidly. It is like living in a mini city because we have all of the nice restraunts and a mall but there are a lot of affordable houses in the area. Great school systems and tons of hike and bike trails. If you are curious just look online. The Woodlands has a website. It is about 30 min. north of down town Houston.

The area north of Dallas looks pretty good. McKinney et al.

Why Texas? Move to California man. The best little country in the world.

HOUSTON!!!

What your looking for is San Antonio,I live here and its the Bees Kneesplus we have a sweet night life

try Arlington or Quinlin

Anywhere north of Dallas, or Longview in east Texas, or Nacogdoches. Lubbock is not near as big as Dallas but is big enough to have opportunities and bigger than Longview or Nacogdoches. Greenville is a smaller town that is nice on I-30.

Chicago in December...? -

Ok, so, my cousins from California are coming over to my house for Christmas and I dont know where to take them in Chicago...any ideas??

You can take them to the Willis Tower, Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Art Institute, Water Tower Place.

Take them where they might want to go or take them where you want to go.

Take them to Navy Pier

I need a place to stay in San Francisco for about 2.5 months....any ideas? -

the area needs to be around pacific heights or lafayette park

You might have some luck checking the sublet or roommate listings on Craig s List. You can search by neighborhood.http://www.craigslist.org

You can often find a good cabin / condo that is available for a cheap price for an extended period of time. There are many places to stay around the San Fran. area.Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking the stay.

Which island in Hawaii is best for newlyweds? -

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon and are wondering which island is best for newlyweds? We are pretty low key, aren t that into planned activities, haven t been to Hawaii, and just want to relax in a beautiful place together. We have a moderate budget, so we can t afford anything too luxurious. Which island have you had the best experience at?

Kona on the Big Island has some nice beaches. It s a cute little town. The other side, (east side) of the big island is also very nice.. very lush and tropical.Kaui is very beautiful but.. if you go in the winter, when I did, there is a change it will rain. A lot. I went a couple christmases ago, and spent the whole time inside because it was so gloomy.. But i m sure it was just the time of year.Maui, is gorgeous. Maui was the first place I thought of when I read your question. Beautiful beaches - and they aren t as crowded as on Oahu.It s a tie between the big Island and Maui, but i m leanin more towards Maui.Have a wonderful trip!

Kauai. Hit there, rent a condo, buy a cheap grill, go to Polihale. Remember--Go to Poipu for faboo waves and great surfing (great lessons)-Lydgate, great for beginning snorklers-Waimea Canyon-just....breathtaking. Hikes are long and kind of strenuous, but we hiked down to a huge waterfall. Amazing.-Polihale Beach. Hard for swimming, but it s like 5 miles long, no one s there, and there s a sunset there like no one s business. Look out into the horizon-that big island? Niihau. It s restricted for natives.-The Botantical Gardens. Fascinating tours, just bring water.-Puka Dogs in this shopping center near Poipu. Get a vegetarian one with lilikoi mayonnaise. -If you want, you can go to Oahu for a day for shopping or something. Whatever works. All in all, not horribly expensive, not horribly cheap. Get ahead with frequent flier miles and you re good.

Kauai is definitely best in my opinion. It s called the garden island for a reason. My family has a time share in Poipu and I see newlyweds there quite a bit. Really good snorkeling around the island. Kipu falls, if the water is clear, is always fun. It s a pretty laid back island with beautiful scenery. Lotta movies were shot there (jurassic park, parts of rambo 2, tropic thunder to name a few). Course, it s the scenery island. For a more metropolitan experience, I d suggest Maui or Oahu.Congratulations =)

kawaii :)oh so romantic

or Maui

Where can I find discounted Kalahari Water Park passes? (Sandusky, Ohio)? -

My friend and I would like to go on a Saturday afternoon just to visit the Waterpark, not to stay overnight. Tickets are $42/each on weekends. This is really ridiculous, seeing as it s the same price as a full-day ticket to Cedar Point! Is there any website or place where we can buy discounted Waterpark passes, or any coupon websites? Any discount would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sometimes you can log onto Ohiowaterparks.org and they will offer printable coupons to be used for certain days!!

there aren t any way. but from experience it is well worth it. there is so much you can do there
