i currently live in utah and want to attend the university of alaska i want to know how safe is anchorage what is the crime rate and how does it compare to salt lake

I was raised near Fairbanks, AK and went to Anchorage a few Times. I Loved it, I do not know about Crime but I would recommend going to UAF University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Fairbanks is about 6 Hours from Anchorage and if You like smaller towns head there. But, Anchorage is very very bueatiful.
