How is Life in New York? -

I d like to know everything. From the good and the bad. I live in Wisconsin and I have thought greatly about moving to New York after I receive my Associates Degree in Computer Support. I was wondering not only about daily life but also living expenses as well as job availability. I understand Computer careers have been boosting, but how easy would it be for me to get a job with my degree in New York. I plan on living near Manhattan. I ve heard Queens and Washington Heights are both great and affordable places. Thanks for the help :D

You haven t got the time to read everything there is.Best advice, come on a visit and see for yourself.Failing that, Think of the biggest city you have ever been to. Concentrate it down to the smallest land mass it could fit on, now multiply it by anywhere from 5 to 10. That s roughly it.Stay out of Washington Heights. You can go there. Nobody will bother you.The pace and style of living there isn t at all what you are used to. Ive been to Wisconsin.Queens would be the largest city in about 45 other states. The point is yes you can find something affordable in Queens, but nobody can tell you where or how much till you re here in person to see it. Its a very diverse place. Like 20 or 30 towns all right next to each other with no space between them.Cross the street, change towns like that.Cant say how it would be to get a job doing what you have a degree in, but a job ? Sure, you can make a living doing something till you get the job you want. Just don t kid yourself, we have a lot of tech schools here that turn out Computer people by the bushel. ( like that there rural reference ? told you I was there once. lol ). Seriously, come visit and test the waters its the smart thing to do before you get in way too deep.Be prepared to make sacrifices to your comfort level and even maybe change careers, but if you stick with it, you can make it. 10 million of us do it everyday.Expect to need an income of about 30-35 K a year for a single person who doesn t have expensive habits.Like living in Manhattan or going out 3-4 times a week. Thats Just making it money. Even still entire some families live on less. You get the general picture right ?Making it big here means making it really big. Not making it could mean living below the poverty line for a very long time. Most of us are somewhere in between headed in one direction or the other.

lol you can t get a good computer job even if you have a associate in manhattan you need years and years of experience it s expensive to live here 1000-1200 dollars a month for a one bedroom apt. (in city) 700-800 in certain parts in bk queens and bx or Staten island. Daily life if your not used to the fast pace commute it will be different more people tend to be angry here than from wisconsin you have to be street smart if you don t want to get robbed coming to nyc is like coming to a big state prison from a little prison

the good: Great FoodHot Womenhand jobs are only 10 bucks mostly in queens NYPizza is greatthe air is goodthe cops are cool when they find you with a prostituteThe cab driver are awesomethe nightlife is greatThe Bad:trafficrat infested cityhigh taxesMarijuana is illegal thereprostitution is illegal thereon 32nd street there is a guy named sanchez and he sells crack, he rips people off...dont trust a guy named sanchez if your into crack.thats about it.hope this info helped :)

Washington Heights is a part of Manhattan (specifically, almost the north end, which is Inwood). the manhattan landscape runs the gambit from the skyscrapers to low rise, low income brick walk ups.

Fast, very fast. If you re not careful you will get steamrolled.

Sell something on Ebay or Craigslist. Craigslist is probably quicker as the person is in your own city.

Sell something that cost more than $400 for $400 and someone will buy it quick.

What are the highest ranked listened to internet radio stations in the Houston Texas area? -

Looking in to advertising with one company that states our ad would run on their internet radio stations and go out to anybody listening to one of their stations in our specific zip code area. I don t know if there are any neilson ratings for internet radio stations or not or even if this company is worth spending money on in the first place. In any event, I need to find out if there is a way to discover the most popular and highest ranked internet listened to radio stations.

How do you find this out? By bandwidth?

Nice hotel in Vail, Aspen and Denver?? transport from Vail to Denver downtown? going for honeymoon. thanks? -

How can I go to Vail to denver downtown the cheapest way?? all buses seem to go to DIA! By the way, advice for a nice hotel in Vail and Aspen and a nice hotel in denver downtown?? going for a honeymoon from spain. thank you

OK, so Denver first: Theres a Ritz-Carlton downtown, but I personally prefer the Brown Palace (http://www.brownpalace.com). Now I realize these are fairly pricey, but I m assuming you want to do something nice for your honeymoon. Otherwise, look at Hotels.com and search Denver, CO for more ideas. Now Vail, Ski Towns are tricky, because most of their guests are skiers. Skiers aren t necessarily looking for a nice, beautiful hotel, so when you see a review of a ski town hotel, it is probably based on utility (I.E., everything in the room works, so it gets 5 stars). I ve found that if you re looking for something nice, get a hotel downtown, NOT at the base area. Same goes for Aspen. For transportation, your best bet is to drive. You do NOT want to spend 2 hours of your honeymoon on a bus with 40 skiers and their equipment. And if you re going in the late spring or summer, the buses won t even be running. Believe me, you re going to enjoy a nice car ride where you can chat and laugh much better. Have fun on your trip!

If you are looking for luxury hotel accommodation, the the Ritz Carlton in Denver would be it.The Brown Palace is a landmark Denver hotel offering great accommodations and services. Most politicians and diplomats stay in this hotel during visits to Denver. Although it is considered a luxury hotel, do not expect modern/up-to-date furnishings and ambiance. In terms of location, both the Ritz and Brown Palace are right within downtown and very accessible to many restaurants and shops. Personally, I have not stayed in either but even local reviews rate both hotels top-notch.Regarding your trip to Vail and Aspen, the most common shuttle transport to Vail is the Colorado Mountain Express (CME).I know that CME shuttles are non-stop from the Denver Int l Airport (DIA). I have posted a link to CME s website as you may want to check with them if they pick-up from hotels downtown. If you have difficulty finding transportation to Vail from Denver, my suggestion would be to go to DIA from your Denver hotel and get the Vail shuttle from there. Maybe, the Denver hotel you will eventually choose will have a free shuttle to the aiprort. May I also suggest you check DIA s website and check Ground Transportation for other options to Vail and Aspen.Personally, I have not experienced/checked-in in any of the downtown Denver hotels, but I may be able to share with you accommodations in Vail and Aspen, which is a favorite out-of town trips for us.In Vail:(It s indeed ski season so rates are not only higher but depending on the date/s you willbe there, I suggest you make early bookings.)Luxury:* Sonnenalp - within Vail Village, exquisite surroundings, service and the best breakfast buffet on Sundays.Other options:* Marriott Vail Mountain Resort Spa - in Lionshead Village, a very short walking distance to Vail village - their Jr. suite rooms are spacious with a fireplace, a small kitchenette and a walk-out balcony. * Lions Square Lodge - adjacent to the Marriott and their 1 bedroom condo mountainside is one of our favorites as it is big with a full kitchen, perfect for take-out dinners and snacks. The walk-out balcony is big and great for spending time out just looking at the slopes and the chair lifts going up the slopes. All three of the above are within walking distance even if location is termed as different villages such as Vail and Lionshead. We have never spent a night in Aspen as we would normally stay in Vail and drive to Aspen (about 2 hrs.) for the day and go back to Vail. However, the Hotel Jerome in Aspen looked very nice from the outside. Maybe, someone who has tried some Aspen accommodations will be giving you inputs as well.Hope this helps. http://www.flydenver.com/http://www.ridecme.com/

Do you like rainy days? -

I live in a place without a lot of rain? It rains today. I like rainy days. Like someone says....it is nice to get a warm blanket sitting in front of a fire place and read a book. Do you like rainy days? Share your thoughts!

Not a big fan of rain, unless it comes in the form of thunderstorms. And I hate snow. Personally, I prefer warm dry sunny weather

i LOVE rainy days i live in the desert in Washington, i know weird and boring, and it is such a thrill to get rainy days! we had a thunderstorm last summer and my friends and i went out into the middle of bfe just to watch. it was so amazing to see the lightning strike all around us. We reported several fires that started and even watched lightning strike the main power building thing. the next day we found out that there were 14 fires started. it was awesome!! i love rainy days :)

I love rainy days! They are my favorite. I like to use my space heater, and read a book. I also like walking in the rain and smelling the weird rain smell. Haha. Its so fun. But I hate snowy days. Its too cold. And its snowing today:(

I enjoy cloudy days. Some rain is okay, as long as it isn t flooding rain. I hate hot weather and I m not that fond of the sun, especially in the summer.

To me, a born/bred native of Washington, it depends on the harshness of the falling of the rain.

i do like that, as well as the rain but not 4 ever, or every freaking day, god we need some worm weather

yes i like rain a lot better than snow that we get

I love rain 3

Where are all the asian girls in Miami? -

I do not see any at all...

2 words, MIAMI BEACH, I see them all the time there

You can find many in Koreatown, Doral, Pinecrest, at least some in Kendall, Coral Reef, North Miami Beach, and other places as well, and of course for a guaranteed blocks filled with asian girls, the very fun and beautiful festival in Downtown Miami held every year.

Well, if there are asian girls in Miami then they must be hot asian girls because Miami is a sexy location with all the tourist spots and hotels scenes.Stick around long enough and maybe you ll run into a few, but in my experience I have only seen British nationals, Cubans , ... occasional Puerto Ricans living there (or passing through).

I made a phone call to my Asian friend ,to know where, and She ask me if I am in that business now.

there arent that many asian girls in miami since it is mostly hispanic but if you will find them it is in south beach
