That is not only a US law but an international one, as well.He had better contact mom and get overnight delivery of his passport, and if he is leaving before he can get his passport back, he will have to change his reservations.Without a passport, as a foreign national in the US, he won t even make it past the TSA checkpoint.

my cousin is a tourist here staying in chicago, he will be taking the plane to san francisco and his passport is with his mom and she left for alaska. can he just take any government id from his country for boarding? like a driver s license of his country? he is from the philippines

MY husband will be coming home from tech school, via airplane. I know how in movies they always meet at the gate, but i have heard that due to regulations, couples can no longer meet at the gate. Where do you meet then? Baggage claim? Terminal? And how easy is it to find the baggage claim/ terminal areas of an airport. I have flown many times before, but always had someone with me who knew their way around, so i never paid much attention.
You need to go to the assigned Terminal for the airline, then go to their arrival gate.....big electronic signs up all over the place that tell you what gate their flight is arriving at.
Although they are not allowed in the gate area you can meet outside the gate in the terminal where the gate is located. The terminal depends upon which airline you will be flying. Each terminal has a parking garage with the first 1/2 hour free and a maximum of $18.00 for 24 hours.Economy parking is $5.50 per day with free shuttle service to and from the terminals.I usually park at the economy parking take the shuttle to the terminal meet the people and then take the shuttle back and drive my car to the terminal and pick them and there luggage up if 1 or 2 people they usually take the shuttle back with me to the car. G gave you a great answer, but I would just add that the area where you ll be allowed to wait is very close to the gate area at the airport. There are large windows around the gate area, so if you know which gate your husband is flying into (which will be displayed on the electronic boards at the airport, you ll be able to see him right when he gets off the plane. I fly in and out of KCI a lot and it s not uncommon to see families there waiting with signs, balloons, etc. for when their loved ones come home (esp. military families).
Last time I met someone coming off a plane at an airport, there was a section I went to which was signed Arrivals .

Well if you mean the Veterans of Foreign Wars Building (that s the only building I can think of that is sort of what you asked about) it s very easy to just walk to Union Station. The VFW building is at 200 Maryland Ave NE, so from Maryland Ave, turn right onto 2nd st. NE (away from the capitol building). Take a slight left onto Massachusetts Ave. and then you ll see the station. It s probably only a 10 minute walk!
Miami or West Palm Beach? -
My birtgday is New Year s Day, I would like to celebrate in South Florida. I want to rent a vacation home (there will be 6 ppl altogether). How is the nightlife in West Palm Beach? The age range is fro 25-30. Should we just go to Miami?
The nightlife in West Palm Beach doesn t exist compare to the nightlife in Miami. When I used to live in West Palm Beach, every Friday I used to drive to my aunts house in Miami right after work and stay there until late Sunday. That s non existing and boring the nightlife is West Palm Beach and how amazing and never ending the nightlife in Miami is. In Miami, you will find the local Miamians and and tourists from other places in Florida like West Palm Beach and of course outside Florida. Miami is also part of clubland, and is has a never ending amount of clubs everywhere in Miami and the county Miami is in, Miami-Dade County. Also, everything is just a walk away, you can walk from club to club, from bar to bar, from anywhere to anywhere. And don t be alerted when the others said anything about money, the expenses are just like everywhere else, it s just that you re never going to want the night to end and you re going to want to do everything (I know from personal experience lol). I agree with the person that said something about getting a hotel, I mean you could get a vacation home, but there s also hotels, condos, etc. you could go too. Oh and by the way but I m sure you know this already, after each crazy night you re going to have and remember forever and probably going to make you want to move to Miami (lol) you can always just kick back with your friends on any of the world famous beaches, and relax and enjoy the weather and climate that is only in Miami. As well as take a walk in the city and see the many things that are only in Miami. Hope you enjoy your birthday.
How is the nightlife in West Palm Beach? If you make the early Bird Dinner at 5:00 PM you can play pinochle for a couple hours before retiring for the night at 9:00.Or you can just go to Miami where the people your age will be partying all nite. I wouldn t set my heart on a vacation home, however. A couple of hotel rooms or condos are more like it. And NYE is the very top of the season, so be prepared to shell out $$.

I REALLY LOVE SCORPIONS, SO HOW COMMON ARE SCORPIONS THERE IN THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AND WHAT TYPES OF SCORPIONS LIVE THERE?
I m surprised at how many Floridians have never seen scorpions in Florida. I ve been stung by them, several times, but you have to get outdoors in woodsy areas. They are also very small (we have cockroaches/Palmetto bugs that dwarf our scorpions). They are maybe, at most, 1-2 inches long, in my experience, although Florida does have bigger scorpions.I find them in rotten wood sitting on the sandy ground, most often. You might try the Little Big Econ State Forest (in Oveido, just outside Orlando) and just do some hiking and picking up some dead wood and dead palmetto leaves.The one issue you will have is with the weather. It may be a bit too cold in January for much reptile activity.
I have visited Florida many times and have never seen one. I ve lived in Georgia for a long time and visiting last year was my first time ever seeing one (it was in my Aunt s basement). So I would say your chances are very slim. But don t give up, if you are determined, you will find one. Do some research online, I m sure you can find something out.

I ve lived in Florida almost 20 years I ve only seen one. it might be too cold in January for them to be very active. if you go looking, try more rural areas.good luck!
I live in Florida... and hour and a half from Orlando. The only scorpions I have ever seen were at pet stores.
