Can I get a tan in Florida at the end of December? -

I am going to Orlando and Miami, Florida for a week at the end of December. We will be outside literally all day when the sun is out, but no neccisarily at the beach. like we re gonna go to some tourist things, and then maybe the beach for a day or two. I was really hoping to get a tan because its snowing where i live! So is it possible? Thanks! Btw I tan really easy and never burn. I have medium skin

You will definitely be able to get a tan as long as the weather Gods keep the rain away and the sun shinning. I live in Sunny Isles Beach and the sun is still intense everyday with our usual temperature in the 80 s so you should have no problems when coming here. Keep in mind that if you are going to the beach, while the afternoon rays are the best at trying to get a tan, the beaches are on the East Coast so you will have to get the sun rays in the morning. Many parts of Miami are blocked because of the tall sky scrappers and prevent the Western sunlight from penetrating in parts of the city.I work at a condo and many of the residents spend most of their time in New York and other places and when they come to Miami, they soak up the sun and are very tan within the first day of their arrival. But overall you should be fine and I hope you will enjoy your stay in our city and our state.

yeah lol if you re out long enough and if you wear like a tank top. I live here and it s still not cold enough to really wear a jacket!!

if the weather was not right, you could always slip off to a tanning bed and not tell anyone. this way when you return, your friends will be amazed!

oh yeah! even if You don t sunbath welcome to Miami ,I know You will love it.

Where to bodyboard in Oahu? -

Hi, Im going to Hawaii this Christmas and was wondering about some good body board spots on Oahu. I m not experienced by any means, but have taken on some big waves? I m looking for something moderately sized but safe at the same time. Reef breaks seem to scare me, but thats all i can seem to find on Oahu. How dangerous are they if you fall all the time? The less crowds there are the better. Any info you guys could give me regarding this or any must do things in Hawaii. We are planning to travel other places than Oahu but thats all i really know where were going for now.Thanks.

Sandy Beach is one of the most dangerous spots on the island. If you are not an expert or local I do not recommend this spot for you. Boarders suffer more neck and back breaks on Sandy than any other beach on Oahu. The bottom is sandy, not reef, and it is VERY steep hence all the neck breaks. Remember that they measure waves differently in Hawaii than they do the mainland. So a 4 ft wave in So Cal is really an 8 ft wave out here because of where they take the measurement from. Makapu u is a much safer location and only a few miles up from Sandy. Go to Youtube and see for yourself.

A good place for inexperienced body boarders with samller crowds than waikiki would be kalamas, bellows air force base, or sherwoods, but NOT sandy beach or Makapuu, those places are only good for the ones who are very experienced at bodyboarding.yes indeed, one can break their neck or back from hitting the bottom, but a tip when being tumbled by a wave is to not fight it under water, just let your body loose as crazy as it sounds and you will eventually reach the shoreline safely in no time! be safe!

Waimanalo Beach Park often has a nice shorebreak, such that you can stand in waist-deep water, wait for a wave to be just about break over your head, jump up in the air, and let the wave carry you to shore. If you ve got a strong kick and don t mind paddling, Diamond Head isn t bad. Of course, you might get run over by surfers, who call bodyboarders names like speed bump .

Sandy Beach is a good Boogie (body) board spot. Also Makapu u Beach. If you are not a really good swimmer, I would stick to Waikiki. If you go to the Diamond Head side of the Kapahulu Groin, the reef and rocks are minimal.

Sandy s is definitely NOT a good place for a novice body boarder. Even Makapuu can be tricky. I d suggest Waimanalo.

Is arriving 1 hour before a domestic flight at Ohare airport in Chicago is enough time? -

No beg to check-in.thanx.

if itss between now and Christmaas you better allow at least 2 hours or more

It depends on when you re traveling. If you go during the busy holiday rush, then I d get there about two hours before your flight departs. If you go during a time that s not busy, you can allow one hour since you have no bags to check in.

Just barely enough time, 2 hours or at least 90 minutes would give you a better margin for problems. Unless, like the others say, it might be a particularly busy day, like the few days before Christmas. In that case you are just begging for trouble at 1 hr.

I want to take the PATH into New York City from the Grove St station.? -

Yes, there is a parking garage on Christopher Columbus Blvd between Marin Blvd and Warren St.To get to 94th and Bway. Take the WTC bound PATH to the WTC, exit the station and walk down W Broadway 5 blocks to Chambers St. Take the 1, 2 or 3 train to 96th Street and walk back 2 blocks to 94th St.

Atlantic City Missed Toll Camera? -

Hi, I was on my way to Atlantic City about 5 minutes before entering, was getting ready to pay the last toll where you see signs of the highway splitting about three times. I stayed to my left and all of a sudden I see the Tolls on my right and where I am driving signs read continue driving I believe I may of saw a camera flash and then saw signs that said missed the toll call this number . Does this mean I am receiving a ticket and is there anything I can do to fight this.

I m assuming this was on the Expressway and not the Parkway. You ll get a violation notice in the mail. You have 48 hours to pay the toll. You can go back to a manned booth, tell the toll collector that you missed the toll and need to pay it. He or she will give you a receipt. Hold onto it. If you get the violation notice in the mail, mail the violation notice back with the receipt showing you paid it.http://www.acairport.com/acexpressway/faAlso, get EZ Pass and then you don t have to worry about that nonsense in the future.

I know exactly what you re talking about the last toll both on the AC Expressway heading towards Atlantic City. If I were you I wouldn t do anything unless you get a notice in the mail. If you do get a notice pay the toll and let that be that. Sometimes the cameras don t pick up the license plate numbers and so if this is the case you got a toll free ride this time and don t have to give that scumbag governor Corzine your money. But on a lighter note don t feel bad...you accidently drove through the express EZ Pass lane, happens all the time

The toll roads all have systems for paying the toll after the fact. They are designed for those who found they didn t have enough money, or (like you) missed the toll booth. Do a search for the toll road on the state web site and you ll find a way to pay tolls. They normally allow a grace period of from 2 to 7 days, so don t wait. The fine for ignoring them is much more than the toll.I ve had to do that in IL and FL, but I ve seen websites listed at toll plazas in the other states as well.

I have frequent flyer miles built up so im plannin to go skiing in Colorodo? -

I plan to leave 2 days after christmas so i was wondering if its really crowded and any room to ski and where would be the best place to go

I have skied all over this country. I would go to Salt Lake City for many reasons. Cost is much cheaper, more ski resorts, better power, easy in easy out, all the resorts are right there, not 60 miles away and it far more scenic than Denver. You decide! don.shaw@yahoo.com

Have you checked with your airline about your plan? I d bet anything that that s a blackout period. Plus, of course the ski slopes will be crowded between Christmas and New Year s - that s prime travel/vacation time! I doubt you d be able to reserve a room at any Colorado [note spelling] ski resort this late in the game. You really need to come up with another plan.

might want to learn to spell the name of the state you re visiting firstYes, it can be pretty crowded that time of year. I d avoid Copper Mountain and Breckenridge unless you like waiting in lift lines. After New Year s everyone leaves though, and it s pretty quiet for a while.

LMFAO. Above.

Wanna boost on COD MW2/ COD 6 ? -

if you want to boost with me add me :eXtreme714

Yeah I ll boost. We also need 10 more people to boost. There are two ways to boost, one is much more effective then the other. First way: you do third person cage match. Second way: (Playing search and Destroy.) you have 12 people. You have 6 people in one party and the other in there own lobbies, then have the other 6 join your match. You have two classes, both with one man army. One has an LMG. the other with a riot shield. Each person has a partner. You have one person shoot the other with the LMG, and the other person blocks with the riot shield. Then you switch classes. Then you get a bunch of points for blocking. One man army allows you to swith classes without dying, so it s perfect.Gamertag: Barberik Rasta

Do yourself a favor and repost your question in the Video Games category.Do yourself, your fellow COD players and the users of the Boston category a HUGE FAVOR by clicking the Help us improve Yahoo! Answers. Send Feedback link at the bottom of the page and asking if the suggested categories algorithm can be tweaked so that the 1st suggestion for questions containing COD defaults to Video Games instead of Boston ? A lot of Call Of Duty players accidentally have their questions routed to Boston as they seem not to notice the suggested categories .If enough of us bring this up, they ll fix it and make for a better experience for everybody.

May i go to the other place like america? -

may i go to the other place like america?

I don t think the US is particularly unique. Places like Australia and UK have a lot of similarities especially Australia. Of course some aspects like lack of gun control is way different in the US to Australia but overall a lot of similarities exist. It is one of only two countries I have been where I have felt as if I was at home.

there is no other place like America. You can go wherever you want, but America is unique.

I don t see why not. Go for it.

Contact those places which you have asked us about. If you don t contact them yourself, you will not heard from a person actually interested with the cause.

i think you already have your answer

Moving to Albuquerque, NM...? -

Just got my letter for a job offer in Albuquerque but I have to admit that I am still not very convince that querque is the right place to relocate my family. Please help me out. I am a PA. They are offering 90,000/year and $10,000 relocation assistance. My wife is a Nurse and she plans on getting a part time job. We have a one year old son and I guess my question is to know if this is a good move from us. We are from San Antonio and it looks like Albuquerque is a more expensive place (was making 10,000 less in SA). What are the places we could afford to leave in in Albuquerque and how drastic should we expect the cost of leaving to chance once in New Mexico?

In this economy being offered that kind of money is amazing. New Mexico is a great state. It is a Right To Work State, but the scenery is wonderful. Especially north towards Taos or Santa Fe. I would do it. Look at www.realtor.com if you are looking for a home, or www.rent.com if you are looking for an apartment.

wow, I would be surprised if ABQ is more expensive than SAT....there are a lot of poor people there...of course NM has state income tax, which we don t have in TXYou are right....look at bestplaces.net....ABQ is 27% more expensive than SAT. Wow! (mostly due to housing)

Tips on Moving a Family to Seattle/Washington with No Job but 4-5k Saved for Expenses? -

My husband and I are having our first born, here in a few months. We no longer wish to raise our family in the State we live in, and would like to relocate to Washington where we first met.. My husband does a lot of Customer Service Rep and Technical Support jobs, and I was wondering if there were any tips on getting us a apartment or place to stay for the first couple of months. We would not having a job upon arriving there, letting you know upfront, and We would be moving with a 4-6 month old baby. Does anyone have any ideas or know of any places or Apartments that would handle a situation like this moving with no job?

Seattle is a great place to raise little ones and there is tons of mommy groups and support. Just like the other person said you can blow 4-5K very fast. There are not any apartments that work with that situations. Almost all require you have an income 2.5X the rent. You would have to call and work something out. It s basically pay the rent on time and if you don t expect to get evicted. However you can find some apartment complexs that have free rent for a month or more and only require a deposit to move in. For our first apartment in Kent, WA we had 3 month free rent and after that is was $880 for a 2-Bedroom. Our current apartments was a $200 deposit plus move in rent of $725 for a 2-Bedroom. Check out Craig s list to get an idea. I would also try to live outside of Seattle being that rent is around $1,000 for a 2-Bedroom. However West Seattle is a bit cheaper and Beacon Hill sometimes has place to rent for around $800. I live in Kent in the norm for a 2-Bedroom is $750. With the economy it s more difficult to find a job unless you want to work as a cashier or something. Craig s list and Work Source are good places to find jobs. I would start apply for jobs a couple of day prior to moving here or maybe have on on lock before you get here.

housing is expensive here- epecially if you live In the city. first/last/deposit on a One bedroom apt will run you over $2,000 at the very least. expect average rent for 1br at least $800 a monthMost apts willl ask for a credit check. With a new baby you would be lucky to last 2 months without jobs. sorry to tell you this but it s better to know the truth before you get yourselves into a bad situationGood luck

I would not advise moving there without a job waiting for you, not in this economy. I left the Northwest over a year ago because of the high unemployment rate and high cost of living. You could blow threw that 5K pretty fast without money coming in. Check the unemployment rate for Washington and maybe the apartment situation on different web sites before heading out. I wish you luck.

1. Pray for help! :)

Sorry, but I d suggest that under the circumstances you describe, the move won t work out for you. Seattle remains one of the most expensive places to live, and 4-5k won t go far. The job market is very tight here, too. You might consider starting to apply for jobs here, and be willing to do some phone interviewing, and/or even travel for a set of interviews.(Landlords are going to want to see your ability to pay for rent for a year s lease, and without the bank account or the job, you don t have a way to prove that.)www.NWJobs.com

I understand you miss washington, I would too if I moved, but that amount of money would last 2, maybe 3 months if you are lucky or a good budgeter. You can get apartments with little down, we have lived in some that required only $99 down to move in, but have never gotten one without income proof. If you don t have anyone to stay with while you look for work, I suggest waiting til you find a job FIRST! If he truely has good references, he should be able to apply for work while outside the state. However, I am not sure how the prospective companies would handle interviews. I would certainly line something up first, even if it is less than ideal.

I wouldn t move up here unless you had a job waiting. Even a minimum wage job would be good. You can apply for state aid but there is a long waiting list for section 8 and help with rent. You could get WIC and food stamps but you would have to figure out rent. A one bedroom in most places is somewhere around $1,000 a month. So 5k is going to be gone probably within two months because you will have to put down a deposit plus first and last. You could move to a cheaper area like Tacoma or Bremerton or Port Orchard but they aren t the NICEST areas and unemployment is pretty high there also.
