The law says you cannot smoke in any business except in a gambling area. So at a hotel casino you cannot smoke anywhere but where there are slots or tables. Bars in the areas who have a minimum amount of slots can have smoking. IF someone smokes ina public area there is a fine but not well regulated because businesses do not want to be smoking police. People can still smoke in their car, home. The initial intiative was to protect the health of minors but by law minors should not be in bars or casinos
I just flew home from Las Vegas yesterday! I went to Mandalay Bay and The Hilton and I was able to smoke in the casinos. I believe it is aloud in most casinos because they don t want people who are gambling to have to get up, stop gambling and take a smoke break.
A couple of the minor casinos are now smoke-less, and a few of the card rooms (like at the Flamingo) are now smokeless, but for the most part the machine and table game areas allow smoking...The rules change all the time so just check it out when you get there....One of the new non- casino hotels at City Center doesn t allow smoking ANY PLACE...EVEN IN ROOMS..
I think they ve been thinking about keeping the no smoking policy at the dynamite factory. So,, I don t think it s everywhere.
You can t smoke in a lot of restaurants but there are still a few where you can smoke. You can smoke in the casino s or walking on the strip. They tried to pretty much cut it out everywhere but HEY...this is Vegas.
D.A. has given you a very comprehensive answer. All I would add is that smoking is only allowed in hotel rooms that are designated as such. *
Your fine to smoke in the casino area but no in restaurants and areas that serve food as what DA said.
you cam smoke in the casinos, elsewhere it is not allowed.
