James is right. After Salisbury-Mills Cornwall, you ll cross the highest trestle in this area. Engineer usually slows to a crawl. Take pictures-the view is awesome (especially on a clear day).Good luck
Greyhound s about it.

LA Area. During the early morning hrs, in the 50s. By 10am - it will be in the 60s or warmer. Skies are clear and in the low 70s in the aftns. You ll need a jacket or sweater for the evening. Shoes sox if your feet get cold.San Diego. Also beautiful weather. Usually about 5 degs cooler than LA and can be breezy this time of year.
I live in Southern Cali, it s not freezing cold, and it s not burning hot, its pretty average. From my point of view, i think that you should bring shoes, pants, few jackets and sweaters, and shirts,if you d like, you can bring flip flops, but most people in the area are probably wearing boots, shoes.. etc.Enjoy your vacation!
aaaw :)I ve lived here my whole life and it ranges from hot to cold. one year we had christmas at the beach and another year we had it inside with hot coco and slippers lol. Bring at least 2 pairs of shorts/skirts,a couple pair of jeans(4-6),long sleeve short sleeve shirts, flip flops a pair of sneakers, bring a coat a scarf incase it gets cold and maybe an umbrella for the rain.have fun 333
The temperature ranges from the 40s in the early morning to the 70s in the afternoon. It never gets unbearably cold, but it does get chilly. I d bring jeans, shirts, a jacket, and sweatshirts. I wouldn t bring flip flops.
high temps can very between 55 F and 80 depending on where you are, and lows between 40 and 60. it never really snows unless you are in the mountains and rain is possible. so basically unless you are in the mountains you won t need heavy winter clothes.
good weather....love it there
snow and lots of it a little bit of smog and gunfire with some police pursuits followed by police brutality bout sums it up
Unfortunately you can t just pack your car and move to a new country. To be legal in the United States you would have to deal with the Department of Homeland Security. If you plan to be in the US temporarily you could get a visa and if you plan to move permanently, you would need to get a green card. You must hold a green card for 5 years before you can apply to become a US citizen. They don t just hand out green cards like candy. In most cases, to get one you must have family in the US or have a job offer in the US.I have lived in both California and Florida. I doubt that you are imagining them as they really are. Both states have some beautiful scenery and cool cities. But living in those places is very expensive. Both states also have a lot of bad areas and poor people; they re not perfect paradises. As far as moving your stuff permanently, moving companies will can do it for you, but it might be more expensive than it s worth. Household items that you have owned for more than 1 year can come into the US for free, but you have to document every last item. Clothing, electronics, jewelry, etc will all be charged import taxes. Here s what I suggest to you: come visit California or Florida (or both) on a vacation, but don t just stick to the tourist areas. Really explore and see if it s what you thought it was. If you think you like it, consider applying to a university in one of those states. That will give you 4 years on a visa to really decide if that s where you want to be. If you decide it s not for you, you can always go back to Canada with the memory of a great adventure and have gotten a great education as well. If you decide you love it, then you will have gained connections to maybe get a job offer in the US and get the green card ball rolling.
The first thing you need to do is lots of research.Dont just dream. The situation in CA and FL, as well as, the rest of the US is not in good shape. Youre dreaming of a paradise, and the trouble with that.. Millions of others moved there for the same thing. This makes housing expensive. Taxes high. Car insurance high. You need to find out what things really cost. If you can afford it. Or you ll end up jobless and homeless. On the streets. You have time to plan. Moving that far, its best to leave your furniture behind. Its very costly to move. Check to see if the cost of moving, is more than the furniture. Lots to study !
Sorry but the only reason I still live in CA is because of my job, and not sure anymore if it is worth sticking around for that reason. CA is declining at a very fast rate, and the state economy is so bad that there is now an additional 10% taken out of every paycheck, with the promise that it will be paid back when I file for my state tax return, but last year CA just sent out IOU s instead. Find some other place than CA
buy new furniture
I ll just give you an approximate since I m not looking at a map.Penn Station - 34th street and 7th avenueRadio City - 50th street and 6th avenue (Avenue of the Americas)Central Park - starts at 59th street between 5th and 8th avenueSubway is $2.25 per person and child. If your niece is coming around 11/25 then the Macy s window should be up for Thanksgiving, not sure about Christmas. I m not sure about the other stuff...Have fun...and bundle up, it is a little cold this year in NYC.
There s no charge to enter Central Park. Well, they do charge to get into the Zoo, but the park, as a whole, is free, and it s close to both Radio City and Penn Station (see link to map, below).Macy s and FAO Schwarz s Christmas windows go up around Thanksgiving or so, and the souvenir programs for the Rockettes aren t too much, maybe $10 bucks or so?Good luck, and the link below is to a map showing Central Park and Radio City Music Hall and Penn Station...
You can use maps.google.com to find out the distance for these places within New York. Radio City Music Hall is at 50th St and 6th Ave; Central Park starts at 59th St and is between 5th Ave and 8th Ave; Penn Station is at 32nd St and 7th Ave. It might be quite a walk for an 8 year old.Who are they and what are they charging for? Taxi cabs? Buses? Subways? Radio City Music Hall?Taxi rates are $2.50 just to get in the cab, and then $0.40 for every unit, where a unit is defined as 1/5 of a mile when the cab is travelling at 6 mph or more, or 60 seconds when the cab is travelling at less than 12 mph. So a cab ride from Penn Station to Radio City (about a mile and a half, or 7.5 units of 1/5 mile) could be as little as $2.50 + 7.5*$0.40, or $5.50, but it s likely to be more because of traffic.Tickets for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on Wed 25 Nov range from $45 (3rd Mezzanine) to $90 (Premium). There are 4 shows that day: 11 AM, 2 PM, 5 PM, and 8 PM. They are all considered non-peak performances and have the same price ranges. Prices are per seat; there are no reduced prices for children.
Sorry, but I don t think there s even a good place to live in Yakima. The crime rates are incredibly high, especially violent crime due to the intense problems with gangs.
The Amtrack Station in San Francisco is in the rear of the building next door (south side) of the Ferry Building located on The Embarcadero. (another clue, Ferry Building is at the East End of Market St.)From SFO, get off the BART at the BART EMBARCADERO STATION, the last San Francisco stop (before train enters the tunnel under the bay to Oakland). Exit the BART underground station and go up to street level (you will be walking toward Beale or Main Streets up on Market St). Walk east on Market Street toward the Ferry Building. Pop into a store or hotel or find a good person on the street, ask person to point out which direction to the Ferry Building to make sure you are walking in the right direction. You can purchase a train ticket for SF to Sacramento that includes a shuttle bus ride from the SF Amtrack station to Emeryville station.Go to the Amtrack ticket office and waiting room. We bought our train tickets there, checked our luggage, sat in the waiting room and then waited out on the curb when the station agent told us the shuttle for Emeryville is arriving. That s what I would do. There is a phone number for Amtrack where perhaps you can get correct up to the date information.http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8 oehttp://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentSerIf you have a few minutes to kill, the Ferry Building next door has places to eat nice shops. It s beautiful inside.
There aren t any direct trains from San Francisco to Sacramento. You can board a train to Sacramento at Emeryville Amtrak Station. You would basically take the transit system from SFO to Emeryville which is about 20 miles away.http://www.amtrak.comThe Amtrak train from Emeryville goes to Sacramento hourly.
http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentSer^ You book your ticket and go where they say to. There aren t exactly many options/directions when going by train... it runs along a fixed track (obviously... I mean, it s a train!), so all you have to do is get to a station (Ferry Building would probably be easiest for you - it s a bus station that will connect you to a train in Emeryville) and just go along for the ride from there.
Here s your weblink to their rail system. It s very clean and a slight similarity to your Underground.Good Luck and Enjoy your stay in the area.http://www.bart.gov/stations/index.aspxThis is your safe and best bet. Be smart and use common sense.
from sfo take Bart over to Oakland, take amtrack to Sacamento.
