Can I get into the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor? -

So I m a senior and I have already submitted my app for MIchigan BEFORE the early notification date.. I m taking 2 ap s this year.. but the only problem is that in one of my classes, (Precal) I currently have a D. Will that ruin my chances?? The rest of my grades throughout highschool have been consistantly good with all A s and B s.. it s just this ONE class that I can t seem to get.. can i still get into the university? pleaseee give me info!

Ann Arbor - with As and Bs and now a D? You need an A- or better GPA with great SATs etc.So no way, sorry.EDIT: don t be mad because I didn t tell you what you wanted to hear. Probably 3,000,000 high school students get As and Bs - so what? Then let s not forget non US students... millions get your grades or better.

If you don t have a 3.9 + GPA - you will not get in. In the past UM and many other schools were letting us women and some minorities in with less, but lawsuits are screwin up the gravy train for us.precalc is an easy class - if you have problems in it you will never make it through and degree requiring math.

this link should help you make that call.http://www.townme.com/ann-arbor-mi/Getti

You wont get in with that BAD GRAMMAR! it s IN Ann Arbor not AT Ann Arbor

Depends on how you did on your S.A.T s as well.

Should I go to University of Michigan or Penn State? -

I got into both schools and i m having a super hard time deciding between these two schools. On one hand, I like Penn State s (University Park) campus alot better than Michigan s and it seems like such a fun school to go to and i know quite a few ppl who go there. On the other hand, all my family lives in Michigan and I ve always thought of going to University of Michigan and i love michigan ppl, but i know less ppl who go there (altho my cousin and a couple of my friends do go there) but im not a huge fan of their campus. another advantage of michigan is theres a guy who i really like who lives bout a half hour away from ann arbor so if i went there, we could spend more time together. (im trying not to factor this into my decision since ur never supposed to base college decisions on a guy, but lets face it it is a factor).im from maryland, so both are out of state.any advice?? im really torn.

You did not say a word about the expense...who is paying? Can you and your family afford both equally? Also...it seems that the academic qualifications are not being considered. Which school offers the best program in the field of study you want to enter. Which school offers you th best education is far more important than the style of the campus or where your friends are going to school.

Penn State. its closer to you, and a better school in general. I think its ivy league? idk. but its a really competitive school, so congratulations, and hope you chose penn state =) i mean its nice ur family lives in michigan at all... but penn state ive heard is totally fun and just really good.

Penn State has good academic programs and is a fun school to go to. You ll also be closer to Maryland, if you needed to get home early for a reason.
