there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

If you looking for something new and inexpensive try the Palmer House. www.palmerhousesobe.comThey are opening late January 2010.

Is there MAC store in Chicago duty free? -

I don t know what you want to buy, but check prices on the internet first. Are you looking for cosmetics? The MAC cosmetic website drives me crazy, but Sephora and Ulta are not as confusing. If you re looking for a MAC computer, I can t help you. MAC tools, ditto.

Can someone tell me about living in San Antonio, TX? -

Cost of livingWeatherLifestyleetc.?

I like it here - except for the weather! It s really hot and gets awfully humid in the summer. In the winter the average temperature is in the low 50s and in the summer the mid 80s. It usually gets into the 100s for several weeks of the year, though. The cost of living is one of the lowest in the country, so that s a really good thing,There are several colleges and universities, good schools (somewhat depending on the school district, but overall it s good). The lifestyle is very casual and relaxed, it depends a little on where in the city you live, but basically everyone wears jeans or shorts when they re not working. People are friendly and polite.San Antonians love to eat and to party! Any excuse the city has to make a party, it s on! There are parades, street parties, holiday celebrations, rodeo, art fairs, you name it. The main evens are of course the annual rodeo in February and the 10 day long Fiesta celebration in April. San Antonio knows how to throw a party, and there is something for the whole family.San Antonio people are also really good at being tourists in their own city. Sea World, Fiesta Texas, the river walk, the spas... they re all frequently visited by the locals as well as the tourists. What I like best about the city is the cultural diversity. Although about 50% of the population is of Hispanic origin, SA really is a melting pot for all kinds of cultures. There are all sorts of colors and cultures represented. I love that!If there s anything else you want to know, go ahead and email me!

it depends where you what to livesome apartments cost 5 hundred threw 6 hundred for a onebedroom apartment.now that were in dec. it s kinda cold

alot of traffic

This sounds like a homework question, and research is NOT asking other people to do your homework for you. You won t learn anything that way. I will answer one small part of your question, yes solar is an excellent option, as is wind power..http://www.cres-energy.org/

Yup, a homework question.

What to wear for orlando in winter? -

I am going to orlando from december 30 to january 9 but I just need to pack clothes clothes for 31-1-2, so 31-1 im going to parks and 2 shopping, i plan to run almost every day in the morning.

I guess your usual summer clothes. T-shirts, shorts, capris, flip flops, etc. Remember to bring a sweatshirt since it can get cold at night. Hope this helps!

Orlando is usually warm in the winter. You can pack a variety of clothes, such as t-shirts, shorts, jeans, light weight jacket or sweater. It s usually in the 60 s, sometimes 70 s F, in the daytime. It will be a little cool at night. It s usually dry and sunny, but bring an umbrella just in case.

Unfortunately our weather has been really weird so far. Yesterday was in the 80s but a few days earlier we had temps in the 40s. I d take a variety. Most importantly, comfy shores and sunscreen. We have bright days all year long.

like Ms Bell said it can bounce around. I live in orlando.I have sen new years about 80 and I have seen it as low as 40 degrees during the day. the weather is very hard to predict. the beaches are about an hours drive in either direction. the gulf is far prettier with its white sands and small waves. if You planning on hitting any of the clubs its the usual club attire. i hope I answered your questions. feel free to contact me thru my profile and i can answer more. have a great day

take light clothes and for that just in case scenarios because Orlando is usually warm but sometimes get really cool take a nice going out sweater and a regular one or two for the everyday wear have fun and Good Luck

just go to accuweather.com and type in orlando and you can view a 15day forecast before you leave to get a good idea of the temps. thats what i did before i went to disney last month and it helped out alot.

Is it a bad time to move to California? -

I currently live in Illinois and plan to move to San Jose/San Francisco area. I would like to go to a CC to study fire science or join the fire academy and eventually join a Dept. I know California always needs more firefighters...so I am wondering if the economy would take a toll on me finding a fire dept job?

Good luck! Funding in California has been cut and people already in the business are losing their jobs as it is and I know police forces and stuff are freezing new additions for a while... as in not hiring... only to fill in retiring officers and stuff... shouldn t be too diff for fire departments...

From what I understand, fire department jobs are really competitive here, ESPECIALLY with the economy the way it is. It is very hard to compete against returning Iraq vets who get a big advantage due to being a veteran. The state and local governments are desperately running out of money, so many areas are not hiring anyone. Firefighting seems to have a low turnover, so there may not be all that many opportunities to get in.The state s financial disaster has hit colleges too, because the state has slashed funding for higher education. If you go to a CC in California, you can expect fairly high tuition (you will be considered out of state for at least the first year), and lower class availability. Unless you live in Chicago, I m guessing that rents in our area will seem astronomical (possibly even compared to Chicago).I m not saying you shouldn t go for it, just that there is this reality that you need to face, and make your own decision. Also, I know CA has a reputation for wildfires, but most of these are fought by Calfire. Many of the employees are seasonal, hired for the fire season (generally summer and a couple months before and after). You can read more here: http://www.fire.ca.gov/ Municipal and county fire departments help with these fires, but they are mostly responsible for the day-to-day stuff which is the same anywhere, like being the first responders to medical emergencies.

Going to Disney world with my infant? -

I have booked a vacation to Disney World in Orlando Florida - I am very excited. My daughter is only 1 1/2 years old and I know that she is VERY Young for Disney, but I am hoping to get an advice as to rides or certain things we can do with her.. She is soo full of life runs around everywhere and understands quite a lot already, I know she will have fun at Disney. Any other options for FLorida ?? We are travelling in January and thinking of doing Sea World as well??Please note ** I realize she is YOUNG To fully enjoy disney, but we wanted a happy vacation, and it s already booked.. thanks

well first i think you need to understand that she is NOT too young to fully enjoy disney world. that is a huge miss conception. disney world is for all ages from babies to senior citizens. there are not many things she can t do. there are only about 12 rides in all of the 4 parks put together that require her to be a minimum height. with that said she will be able to do the most at magic kingdom. just an example of what she can do is:-dumbo-its a small world-peter pan s flight-winnie the pooh-snow white s scary adventure-mickey s philharmagic-haunted mansion-jungle cruise-carousel of progress-monster inc laugh floor-tomorrowland transit authority-enchanted tiki room-pirates of the Caribbean (which happened to be my 16 month old niece s favorite ride)-meet and greet with the characters-parades-fireworks displayand thats not all!!!and there are many things for her to go on and do at the other 3 disney world parks as well. seaworld would be ok . its mostly just shows which are obviously entertaining but can become somewhat long for kids her age. and they have an area where you can pet dolphins and another area where you can pet sting rays.**edit** lisa s said that snow white s scary adventure may be too frightening for a 1.5yr old but my niece (16months old at the time) was perfectly fine with it so i would say that its different from child to child and you won t know what your child is and is not afraid of unless you take them on it once. we figured my niece would HATE pirates of the caribbean cuz its dark and has a small drop and at one point there are cannons going off but it was absolutely her favorite ride out of everything she went on at each park and went on it multiple times and would cry to go on again.

Sea world is really good, you may like Epcot park as well . There will be too many rides you will miss because of the infant but it is worth it. I m sure she will enjoy it. Make sure to be prepare for the cold weather.

Don t listen to the people who say your little one is too young for Disney! I ve taken my three year old granddaughter three times already! She doesn t remember the first time, when she was six months old, but she most certainly did remember the second time, when she was just the age your daughter is now. She couldn t wait for the third trip, because of her memories of her second trip! Those little ones always remember more than we think! As to which rides are too scary , it depends on the child! My own intrepid little Disney-lover wasn t scared of anything she saw, and we went on every ride except for the coasters. I, personally, don t ride scary rides like roller coasters, Tower of Terror, etc., so if I didn t ride, neither did she, and we never had a problem. My guideline was, if there were signs warning against people with certain conditions taking a particular ride, my granddaughter and I avoided it. We spent our time people-watching, and waiting for grandpa and my older grandson to get off the ride!As to other options in Florida, if you are renting a car, look into Florida s many state parks. All are beautiful, and most have something very interesting to see and learn. One of our favorites is Manatee Springs.Have a wonderful trip!

I m going to have to disagree with the previous answer. Some of the rides she suggested may be way too frightening for a 1 1/2 year old - snow whites scary adventure for example. But having said that, I still think you will have a great time. It s a small world is so cute for young ones. There is also a train that runs throughout the park. Dumbo is fun - but I find that the line for that is always so long. They have a carousel that of course is fun for young kids. The parades are great - try to get a seat a little early for them - it tends to be very hard to find a good place to see it. They have a restaurant that we ate at a few times that has characters - The Crystal Palace - has winnie the pooh, tiger. It s buffet style, with separate buffet foods for kids.We went to Disney 2x in January. The first time the weather was gorgeous - 70 s and sunny. The 2nd time we went it was freezing - we had to buy gloves! So I would just check the weather prior to your visit.Haven t been in Sea World so I can t give you any opinions on it.Have a great trip!
