Taking train from San Jose to San Luis Obispo? -

This is my first trip by train in USA, and I m a international student. This is my third week here in USA. So I m really confused about taking train to San Luis Obispo. I need to visit my host family in Grover Beach, and my current city is Cupertino. I think San Jose is the nearest train station. Which train should I take to arrive in San Luis Obispo? Could you please give me the link of the website that I can book the ticket? I ll travel alone, so I don t wanna get lost. Please please anyone help me. Is it right to take train from San Jose Caltrain Station?? Thanks for your help.

Use the Amtrak bus system from San Jose Caltrain Station to San Luis Obispo. It s possible to catch the Starlight train from the station, but time and convience wise, won t make much difference. Amtrak bus from San Jose to SLO takes about 4hrs, as it s a straight shot down HWY 101. Check with Amtrakwww.amtrak.com/

You need to take Greyhound, CalTrain is for San Jose to SF only, it doesn t go to SLO:http://www.greyhound.com/Cost is approximately $40 one way and takes 5 hrs.

The ONLY train going from San Jose to San Luis Obispo is the Amtrak Coast Starlight . You can book a reservation at www.amtrak.com . I believe it only runs once a day.

Which would be a better place to move,Portland Oregon or Seattle Washington? -

i m definitely leaning towards seattle but my roommate wants to know if portland would be better.

If you are going to Oregon then go with a transfer. Do not just move their and think you will get a job. If you are going from California not a good Idea. My daughter moved to Oregon years ago and she had to go threw a temp service to get some work for years. If it wasn t for her in-laws taking her and her husband in for a few years they would not have made it. Oregon is very hard on new comers and more on the ones that are from California. My sister in law moved to Oregon and she never says she is from California to anyone. We went and visited our daughter in Oregon and our truck broke down they had it fixed in no time just because we said, we were headed back home. I do not know how Washington is. If you go to Oregon then go on a transfer of job not looking for one.

idk i think my friend that lives in south washington said weed was gonna be legal in portland soon so id go with portland

I am planning to move back to NYC and I want a Luxury Apartment in Midtown Manhattan. Ideally, a 1 bedroom w/ washer and dryer in the room. Is this a pipe dream? I realize already that it s expensive. =] Thanks.

NYC is always expensive, but maybe nowadays you can get a deal. Why don t you contact banks and search for repossessed apt for a great deal.
