Have you ever been to the Rose Bowl or attended the Rose Bowl game? -

Thinking about buying tickets to the Ohio State/Oregon game. What is the seating like in the Rose Bowl? Are the seats bench seats or individual seats? What s different about the Rose Bowl game (apart from the parade) compared with a regular season football game as far as activities, etc.?

The Rose Bowl is a LOT of fun. We usually go to the FanFest, see the floats being built, and have a meal or two in Old Town. As for the game itself, the excitement level is much higher than a regular season game. You can really feel it. The seats are mixed. Some are bench seats, others are individual seats with backs. Bring a cushion, because they are not warm at all.Have fun!PS Pay no attention to WoE. He s entitled to his opinions, of course, but takes things too personally. Life s to short to be that angry and bitter.

I ve been to the Rose Parade and I ve been to the Rose Bowl. But I have never done both in one day. I don t think very many locals do. Where as with pro football, there is a big difference between a Sunday game and the SuperBowl.I think with college football, every game has a lot of energy and there is definitely energy at the Rose Bowl but it s not that much different than a normal game.

yeah GO FOR IT.. I might go this year because USC an UCLA aint going! YEA!!!!!! I hate sc because the killer gave a pep talk to the team a few years ago at the orange bowl, with the head coaches along with the athletic directors approval. Both of them jerks should be FIRED for doing that!!!!I have always hated UCLA because i was a USC fan( before the above mentioned indecent). But since they didn t accept My cousin ( which she was accepted at harvard, yale and Notre Dame, along with a few other top notch schools) they are really on the bottom of my list of schools to attend .yeah we might go and watch Oregon romp on Ohio State :)Note: I probably will get a few thumbs down --- which only means i am right!!!! LOL..Oh Oman i m not angry and bitter. you seem to be with most of my answers -- High blood pressure is the silent killer :o)

You simply were the rose bowl? Boy!

Nope.I watch it at home (in HD!) :D

Actually, I would suggest avoiding Times Square unless you want to go to the run-of-the-mill tourist magnet. It s overcrowded and not too interesting. I mean, definitely stop by, but make sure to go to other things. When my friends come to visit me, we generally go downtown to the West Village. There are restaurants, clubs, and shops abound without so many tourists. I also recommend SoHo for shopping (of course). If you re going to see something on Broadway, the revival of South Pacific is magnificent. I also loved Next to Normal. (Whatever you do, don t see Memphis -- it s truly awful). Personally, I like to take advantage of the concerts and jazz clubs New York has to offer (those would be in the Village). If David Cromer s production of Our Town is still running at the Barrow Street Theatre in the West Village, I highly recommend it. In terms of food, go to Hell s Kitchen, around 9th ave and the 50 s. My favorite restaurant is Puttanesca on 57th and 9th Ave -- unbelievable, and relatively cheap, Italian food.I highly recommend visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art -- go see the Vermeer exhibit before it closes on November 29th! Also, the Museum of Modern Art. If you re going to be uptown, I like the Cloisters (in Inwood -- don t remember exactly where). If you re looking for the normal tourist activities, there s the Empire State Building (of course), Ellis Island, Times Square, seeing Wicked, Rockefeller Center, meandering around 5th Ave...I don t even remember all the normal touristy places anymore. They are overpriced and not that interesting, in my opinion. I ve been to them all. I liked Ellis Island. I hate Times Square. It s an experience...not for everyone, though. That being said, the Empire State Building IS worth it. But it s one hell of a line.Walk quickly, wear black, and be prepared to spend quite a bit of money!Enjoy!

Go to Time square just the atmosphere is amazing! Defineltaly go to the Empire State building its beautiful up there, and when you are done go to this resturant I m pretty suree its called mars. I love it in there it feels like ur on another planet everybody ik goes there but theres always a long line. Well anyways have fun!:D

We just got back from NYC about 3 months ago and I m definitely going back! We were there for 3 days, but I think 5 days should be enough. Get the 3+ day NewYorkPass, it will save you a lot of money! http://www.newyorkpass.com/ Also, buy your NYC T-shirt ( 5 for 10.99) at Times SQ.Around Empire State building, they have a lot of cheap NYc sounviers. Hotel wise, book early. We stayed in Chinatown (Hotel 91) but it s clean and fairly cheap- though you can heard the subway at night, it didn;t bother us. Becareful of big and cheap hotel, I heard it s not clean,, The last thing you want is to bring home some bed bugs.Broadway Show: If Wicked was too expensive ( it was for us), so we went to see Fuerza Bruta , we got a coupon online and pay half price =) so check online! .. Let put it this way, we will never forget this show.. we had a blast!http://www.broadwaybox.com/ ? for cheap shows! Ps. We finally watched Wicked In San Francisco, it was great!

Take a look at our New ork Events Calendar for a listing of fun and interesting things going on in the city while you re there.

Just go shopping! =]

Will my kids be discriminated against in Boston? -

My kids are Caucasian, Asian, Native American Indian, Hispanic, Arabian/Persian (East Indian, Israeli, etc.) but although their physical features represent each and every one of their nationalities, they have pale skin w/ slight tan on their arms and face. They have brown freckles, on their face and arms. They all have darker colored hair. We live in Indian, but I grew up in Chicago and I never had any problems with racism. As for Boston, I don t know. My sister says her daughter attends a hispanic/ African American school and is constantly called a white girl. She s a blonde girl. I don t want my kids to go through that. Don t get me wrong, my kids are tough. I didn t raise a bunch of wimps. They are very diverse in their choice of culture. For example, my daughter can dance traditional Indian dances, Ballet, Hip-Hop and Break. (I taught her all) She also listens to classical, cultural, rap/Hip-hop and Rock music. She likes shopping and plays a great center front in soccer. My point is, I don t want my kids to go to school, be themselves and get shut down for it. Or get into fights, my other daughter takes after my mouth, quick come-backs. So what about you guys, If you saw a seemingly, white girl waltz into your school and go out for the schools dance team, and start dancing like was andy from step up 2, what would you say? Would people take it negatively in Boston (the teens at least)?Oh, and I am NOT racist!!! Just here in India, everyone knows my grandmothers family so people don t dis my kids! lol, thank you for your opinions!

You and your kids will be just fine in Boston. Lots of mixed race people in the area. Rap and rock are popular in Boston.

Do your homework, what part of town do you want to live in? Its the people not the city, be aware, Boston is very fast paced, and their lack of patients are sometimes mistaken for rudeness. We just want you to get to the point. The many different cultures, history, and people of Boston will be a very rewarding expereince for your children.

If they treat others the way they themselves wish to be treated then by and large they should be fine. Will they from time to time run into a mean, ignorant kid? Sure, but everyplace has a few mean and ignorant kids, usually raised by mean and ignorant parents.

Its a city, which means its full of diversity, which means tons of different cultures and races live there, which means no they prob wouldn t.

nah man they b aight. boston s just like evrywhere else ya know..if u respect u ll b respected. what part of boston just outta curiosity?
