New York : travel in winter? -

going to New York late December-early January. What temperature averages during that time?? Is there snow or there isn t?l. Now making preparations please help. What type of clothes do you recommend? :D

Winter weather is rather unpredictable, but in general, you will find NYC to be cold in December and January. There may or may not be snow - but snow is rarely a major issue in New York. It doesn t snow all that often, and the City is very efficient at removing snow in all but unusually severe storms. And in mid-town Manhattan, the understreet utilities generate enough heat to keep the streets and sidewalks clearn. I would be more concerned about wind - in cold weather, the wind in New York can be brutal.Dress in layers so that if the weather is warmer than you expect (and it can be), you can shed something to be more comfortable. Opt for real shoes, or better yet, waterproof boots. Do not use sneakers because if there is snow, your feet will get wet. A hat will do more to keep you warm than just about anything else you might wear.

Oh man, every year is different... I remember last year - new years - wasn t too cold (I think the 30 s-40 s). But no matter the temperature around this time of year, the clothes will be the same, except for the type of coat you ll wear - either really heavy (fur with hood) or down jacket.Clothes - no matter what, warm sweaters, preferably turtle necks (but remember you want to be able to take off some layers because stores will be very warm), jeans/pants (optional thermals underneath it)And definitely UGG type boots. You can wear this every day in the winter

Be prepared to freeze if you want to travel light. Carry good amount of winter protective gear, as the temperature will fall during those months. Snow, probably, but hardly a worry really. Predicting the New York weather is like playing roulette, be ready for the odds.

Temperatures can be in the 20s and even lower in January. Bring a heavy winter coat, sweaters, scarfs, gloves and hats. Though it is unusually warm right now for this time of year.

To keep warm stand next to the roasted chestnut guys on Seventh Avenue and wear a winter coat.

When can one come again to US on B2 visa(Multiple entry visitor VISA)? -

My mother has multiple entry visitor visa. She stayed in US for 6 months. She is going back to India. And when can she come back to US again? Is there is any rule of staying in US not more than 6 months in in year kind of . Please give me insight and any legal linksthanks.

There is no written rule; it is dependent upon the Immigration Officer; be aware of the fact that a B-2 visa is issued for the purpose of visiting the United States and not for the purpose of residing in the U.S.; someone who tries to apply for re-entry after a short period my be considered to try to be a de facto resident and may be denied entry. After staying for 6 months she should at least stay out for another six months before she re-applies for admission.https://help.cbp.gov/cgi-bin/customs.cfg ..
