I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the people or the mall in Victoria, Texas? -

I was given a job opportunity there and have heard quite contrasting things abut the place. I was hoping someone could shed some light that isn t copying and pasting stuff from wiki or google!

I travel to Corpus Christi, Texas from where I live outside of Houston to see family there. We always stop at the mall in Victoria. It s small compared to the The Woodlands mall outside of Houston, which is my local one. It doesn t have huge name stores like Coach or anything. Basically, a lot of the stores could be found at an outlet mall. But if you don t have a job, I would say take it. Considering in this economy some people can t even find a job, yet you got offered one, is lucky.Oh and the people, well it s a small town, and from what I ve seen, I feel like they have that small town vibe. Like they re happy in their own world.

the mall is huge.

How to live in New York City for high school? -

hey guys. i m a sophomore in high school and i so desperately want to finish my high school years at a school in new york city. my parents are definitely up for it if i can figure it out, but i asked my relatives over there if there s anything they can help me with but it s not going to work out. i would really like some ideas on how i can live on the upper east side for the rest of my high school experience. money and getting into a school are not problems.thank you!

LOL! Actually, getting into school IS going to be a problem (money probably is, too, but let s not go there.)I am both a NYC public school teacher and I have a daughter who is, right now, applying to high school. So I know a LOT about the high school admissions process. The truth is, the system is not set up for people to enter in 11th grade. Many of the best schools just don t take new admits in 11th grade. You can apply for 9th or 10th grade, but if you enter in 11th grade, you are stuck with the transfer schools, or the schools that have seats left (not usually the best schools, might I add.)

You wrote, money and getting into a school are not problems. Well, if that s true, then what s the problem? I mean, just come here, rent an apartment, either with your parents or have them sign the lease for you if they re not joining you here, and then have your parents register you in the school in that district and go there, case closed, no big deal at all really.Good luck!

If money is not a problem, then there should be this Question. Since you mentioned Upper East Side, we all know you must be filthy rich unless you have no idea what you tawking about. My Rent is 4000 a month one bedroom in Manhattan, guess where?

OMG! DONT! iM A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT HERE..AND HIGH SCHOLS HERE SUCK!!!!!!ULL REGRET IT!WAIT TILL COLLEGE INSTEAD..TRUST ME! YOU WILL NOT LIKE IT AT ALL!!!!

Get an apartment on the UES, apply for high school. Simple, as long as your parents are willing to move with you.

i wouldnt worry too much about highscool. just go to college there if u really wanna be there that bad

Moving to New York City..................? -

For some work related I wont discuss right now I have to be based in New York City area ( which I have been many times ) for a year. I will be there on a Visa Waiver Programme ( 90 days stay) and will return home to UK for a week and NYC again .My Questions what the cheapest place I can rent in New York City area or anywhere that I could go get to Manhattan fast? I dont drive so anywhere with Trains are important.Second: I am not an American but ready to pay One month and a security deposit , is that possible? Is there any place where I can rent for 3 months, 6 months etc? Most need Credit history ( for americans ) But I do not have credit cards just debit cards to my savings acc.

If you re going to be coming and going like that, I would strongly recommend that you find a roommate situation. That way, it ll be cheap, and there will be someone there to watch out for your stuff while you re away, and you don t have to make a long-term commitment either, and as a roommate you will probably be able to afford something right in Manhattan, too, so there would be no, or very little, commuting involved, too.Good luck, and the link below is to the Manhattan Roommates/Shares category on CraigsList...

I agree with the other poster, try craigslist and look for either a roommate or a sublet (if you want to live on your own). That s the best way to find a short term (less than a year) apartment without having to worry about credit checks, which you will undoubtedly have to go through if you rent an apartment straight-out. As far as where to live cheapest, what s your budget? That would help, as what is cheap and expensive to you could be totally different to me. I d recommend Brooklyn or Queens if you are trying to save money... Astoria in Queens is nice, very close to midtown Manhattan and has a lot of restaurants and shopping. It s not the cheapest neighborhood, but it s safe and you can find reasonably priced places. There are so many neighborhoods it s hard to go through them all, but if you are looking on craigslist, usually they will list the address or cross streets. You can look on google maps to see how close to the train it is and what neighborhood it is in. Then you can google the neighborhood. The NYTimes online has a lot of good neighborhood profile articles that should give you an idea of what it is like, or you can check wikipedia for neighborhood profiles as well.

Any one give me usa uk canada or sponser me visa? -

Any one help me for sponsor me UK,USA,Canada visa i have lot of experience in computer hardware?here our ****** political leader eat all money that provide foreign country like USA where i go any one help me for this problem i am honest hard worker any company owner trust me and give me visa i have no money for visa and ticket ,Any security company accountancy company etc give me job no any here help me and no in yahoo answer any person help me and not give me real thing i want to marry a girl no any one consent for marriage where i go i want to make happy girl because girl have lot of problems yo know where i go give me true talk thanks?

You ll have trouble finding a sponsor because most jobs arent hiring anyone, and there are 31 Million people unemployed in the USA right now. One job opening for every 6 people looking for a job.So, with a huge amount of people looking, no one is going to sponsor someone from another country. You become responsible for that person, and who would take that on that needed obligation, if there s people in your own city looking for work. Its a bad time to ask for this. UK and Canada are in a similar situation. Most of the world is having economic trouble, in fact.

Family Spring Break Vacation Ideas.? -

I am taking my family on vacation in March for Spring Break. Last year we did San Diego, LEgo land, museums, disneyland...it was amazing!!! Trying to come up with an affordable vacation this year that will be just as exciting for the whole family. We thought about Disney World but have decide to wait until my youngest is 3 so that he can really get a true experience. WE have thought about going somewhere with snow to maybe so some winter activities. We are form Houston, TX so we don t get a lot of cold weather. I am not sure how suitable a snow vacation would be for young kids. My children are 7, 3 and my youngest will be 22 months when we go. They are all very game when it comes to trying new things so the fear factor won t be an issue, I am just not sure about ages and minimum requirements. We are taking my mom along as well to help with the youngest so I really don t need a lot of babysitting options. I just want to find something appropriate for everyone. Any suggestions would be great even if they aren t based on a snow vacation...I am at the brainstorming point and can t seem to come up with much.

Try Seaside, OR. That time of year you can get a really nice room for winter rates, pretty inexpensive and right on the ocean. Seaside has all kinds of fun things for families! I take my kids there all the time. Theres something for everyone and you dont have to drive all over creation, you can do it all on foot! They have an aquarium there, you can beach comb after the tide goes out and collect shells etc.. rent cool electric carts and family bikes. If you look online you can even find websites to watch the beach from cameras that you control :) It will be chilly that time of year but still beautiful and memorable! You might consider a drive over to Portland (1hr 25min drive) to visit the OMSI museum, its an AMAZING hands-on science museum!! Very cool
