Nah its $600 to get the license, classes, and drug tests. All you need is to pass the test after that. The medallion to own a cab is the one for $600,000. That s to own your own cab, operate yourself, and you don t have to share it with anyone. Nobody can tell you what to do that way.

I was waiting in the Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station and was able to hear the music of a young hipster-looking couple. He played guitar and sang and she sang harmony. It was very beautiful quiet music and I was hoping to track them down on myspace or last.fm.Any information helps! Thanks!

I m going out to celebrate my birthday next weekend with a largish group (15-20 people) and I m trying to figure out where to go.I had been planning on going to Jeckyll and Hydes though reservations can only be done with dinner packages which are pricy. It was also suggested that I go to Dave Busters though I don t know how lame that is.Are there any suggestions for places that can be not too expensive (no more than $20-25), and will accept reservations for large groups? This is moot because, as the others have said, there is no Korea Town (or any *predominantly* Korean neighborhood, for that matter) in San Francisco. There is the occasional Korean store in various parts of the city, though (Sunset, Richmond, probably Japantown area, etc...)

No its not. There is a concentrated community of Koreans around Japantown but its not official. And there is a small stretch in downtown Hayward that s filled with Korean restaurants and grocery stores.
