Having a baby, need to get married pronto--family wants to be there--VERY LITTLE MONEY TO SPEND. Drama drama drama....I ve googled so much and can t find what i m looking for--- where can we have the cermony only, that is nice yet EXTREMELY cheap in north DFW? Wanting to get married in December.
The meaning of very little money varies by person :)The least expensive place would be your own city parks and recreation sites. You can hire a Justice of the Peace to officiate if needed. Here is the Allen, TX site for example. The Lakeside Clubhouse would be beautiful for a wedding. There are prices for non-residents.$60 per hour during business hours ($50 deposit if no food - $100 if food is served)$80 per hour after hourshttp://www.cityofallen.org/departments/phttp://www.co.collin.tx.us/justices_peacCarpenter House - Plano, TX $500 for 1 hour (Plus any extras) (Plus 20% Gratuity)http://thecarpenterhouse.com/pkg3.htmlAnother fairly inexpensive wedding site would be a hotel. Some hotels offer free or inexpensive event space if you reserve a specific number of rooms.
My latest wedding was at the gazebo on Main Street in downtown Grapevine. It will be decorated for Christmas so all you will need is a minister. It would be polite to inquire about a permit, especially since there are some Christmas events like choirs caroling, but I had my wedding there on a Wedneday evening in 2006. We took the stage at about 6:15 and were finished by 6:45.There are also gazebos in Southlake, and Carrollton in case the one in Grapevine is booked solid. And one on the water at Lake Lewisville (in back of Sneaky Pete s). If your relatives spend money on booze they might let you use that one for free, but there is a ballroom attached to Sneaky Pete s so they might not. Just be sure to let everybody know that they re paying for their own drinks. You can also get married at various sporting facilities, such as Lone Star Park (in the Winner s Circle) or on the pitcher s mound at the Frisco Roughriders home stadium. If you had shared more about you or the groom I might be able to come up with a more personal suggestion, like getting married on the air at your favorite radio station.
The Bob Duncan center is in arlington and it is cheap. My friend got married here and it was pretty http://www.theranchoflonesomedove.com/chYou can also look into renting a house for your wedding it is usually cheaper.
A few years ago my brother got married at the courthouse in Denton. It was very nice, and the pictures taken outside the courthouse were beautiful. All they had to pay was a deposit which was refunded back after the wedding. Good luck!
Didn t you hear? It s illegal to get married in Texas now.http://www.queerty.com/every-marriage-is
Go to the Justice of the Peace at the Tarrant County courthouse. Then have a separate wedding party with your friends and family.
