What could me and my friends do on new years? -

I m 17 and a couple of my friends are too and the rest are 16. We re in New Jersey and are trying to figure out something really fun to do for New Year s Eve. Last year we had a party but it just sucked so we re not gonna do that again this year. I doubt we re going to be allowed to go to Atlantic City or New York, so can you give me some ideas for what we can do ? Thanks!

find out what the big celebration is going to be locally and go to that.

Is there an airport in Tomah, WI? -

Not for commercial airlines. The closest would be La Crosse or a little farther would be Madison.

Does orange county ca flood every 150 years? -

No. It floods whenever heavy rain falls or when the next el ni?o occurs.

Are there any cool Black spots in Key West? Is there a Black neighborhood? -

For those who know Key West pretty well, can you tell me what s the population like there? Is it rich? Poor? White? Hispanic? Black?

Key West is a very small island with an almost all-Caucasian population, almost all of whom are rather wealthy. (Some of the wealth is, of course, in the property value and not in cash. Key West real estate is VERY expensive!) There is a small military base and an airport, but otherwise Key West is a primarily residential island with some very nice hotels, a few bed breakfasts, some upscale shopping, great restaurants and bars, and a large pier for cruise ships. It is touristy, expensive, and lovely!

this is the second day in a row a black person asked for black neighborhoods--if a white person asked for white neighborhoods then everyone would scream racismbtw, there is nothing black about key west--have you ever even been there????

Trip insurance..............? -

hiis there any insurance available for this..am driving from chicago to california, in my 2000 chevy impala...just to avoid any kind of break downs during my trip,is there any kind of trip insurance that i could take...

http://insurancefortrips.com/This site has a plan called trip protector . The rates are based on your trip cost (to cover airline snafus, etc) but since you are driving you can use the $0 trip cost rates, and get a very comprehensive policy on the cheap. It is basically a short term, or one time policy to give you extra protection when traveling.

You might be able to add some to your existing policy. I know that AAA offers the same thing to their members. Here s a link:http://www.aaa.com/aaa/sem/sem.htm?redir

Living in Los Angeles. Pros and cons? -

What are some pros and cons of living in Los Angeles?thanks!

Pro - The weather is nice most the time, you are close to numerous beaches, can take long weekend trips to Las Vegas, you can get to see famous people more than probably any place on earth.Cons - Dangerous city, is the bank robbery capital of the world, you have the paparazzi on your door step, is full of homeless people especially in Down Town LA, has very bad traffic congestion, the cost of living is extremely high. Those are the few that come to mind quickly.

Pros: Great weather every day. You can wear flip flops in December. We always have a winning team here... Lakers, Dodgers, Angels, USC football, UCLA basketball. Everything you ever need is in LA (you don t need to go to the next town over). We have a rapidly growing Metro Rail system (Downtown to Koreatown, Hollywood and Universal City... Downtown to Pasadena, Downtown to East LA, Downtown to Long Beach, coming in 2011 Downtown to USC and Culver City. Believe it or not, you can live in LA without a car (I sure do) as long as you live near a rail station or busy corridor with frequent Metro service. The air is not as bad as people make it out to be. We have one of the most strict air quality standards in the nation and the only times we ever have unhealthful days are when there are brush fires. Violent crimes have dropped significantly during Bratton s term as LAPD Chief. We have a wide range of delicious food, ranging from great eateries to upscale restaurants... we run the gamut of good food. Cons: Traffic can be bad, even at 1am. So take Metro!

Pro: The weather is nice most of the time and pretty well everything possible to do on earth is available here. The smog is not as bad as people think and the bad crime areas are easily avoided.Cons: The traffic is heavy and the cost of housing is high.Overall, I love LA and am happy overall with it.

Worst traffic in the world!!!!!!!! Walking is almost faster. The good things are that you can watch dodger games first hand! :) You can also leave anytime you want, if thats even a good thing.

Best way to get to Hazlet, NJ from Ronkonkoma, NY by train? -

I know to take the LIRR from ronkonkoma into Penn station. Im not sure where to go from there. Thanks

When you get to Penn Station, go over to the NJ Transit Concourse and take the North Jersey Coast Line from Penn Station to Hazlet. The one way fare from the City to Hazlet will cost you $11.25 ($22.50 round trip). Please purchase your ticket before board, because fares are higher on board.Good luck

The link below can help u. Good luck!note: to chnage the time and date go to show options

At Penn Station, head over to the NJ Transit section. Buy a train ticket to Hazlet. It will leave on the North Jersey Coast Line headed for Long Branch. It s about a 70 minute train ride from Penn Station to Hazlet Station.

Which has a better view of new york, the empire state building or top of the rock? -

Empire state is your classic, centered, and a bit higher up. Top of the rock is farther uptown. I would hit up the Empire State building for it s classic-ness if I had to choose one of them.

Top of the Rock. You get a better view of Central Park and midtown. The only place you can t see well from there is the Chrysler building, which is obscured by the Met Life building.

Top of the Rock because you can see the Empire State Building from there.

Go to both of them. The view is different . And you ll like both of them.

Top of the Rock by far

San bernadino area safe? -

Does anyone know if San Bernadino CA is safe. The Gotham Club by the Hudson mall. I wana go to the rave Delicous Christmas but my friend says theres guna be too many gang bangers. Anyone know if the area is safe?

San Bernardino... safe LOL... but you should be good for one night unless you look like a rival or something... one of my best friends lives in Redlands and I manage to make it out alive lol

san bernardino in general is NOT safe. it is a crime-riddled city. i don t know what the hudson mall is, but i do know of the hudson theatre, which is in a decent (not amazing, but not the worst) area of san bernardino, near the 10 freeway at waterman.if you really want to go, don t walk alone. walk with a big group of friends that you know and trust. i know it s a rave, but really, don t hang out with strangers. if you see a fight/argument breaking out, avoid it. common sense stuff.

The area around the Hudson is so-so. There is usually a big police presence at these.Sorry, but your friend is an idiot. How many gangbangers do you see at raves? That s right, none. It s not their scene. They go for rap and hip hop. Sorry, but your friend gets a DUH.If you re into risk taking (which I assume you are because you go to raves), you should have no problem going there.

Dont worry about it, i have gone to some festivals there (last time the Nocturnal) and it was safe and a LOOOT of cops, and all the way to the hotel was very safe.i saw girls walking at 4am and they were fine!

To live in? No.To go to your little rave? Yes. Just don t be an idiot.

No it s super dangerous and gang-y. People are afraid to even shop at certain grocery stores.

Any tips for St. Louis Scottrade Center hockey? -

Headed to Scottrade Center for a hockey game. I have not been to a prof. hockey game ever, and my husband has not been since he was a kid.Any insider information would be greatly appreciated... We have seats in Row C, and I have heard mixed things about whether these are club level seats or not... I don t think they are, but have heard something about drinks and a buffet? Is that worthwhile?Any tips on how early to arrive, or anything else that could be useful? This is a big deal for my husband (huge fan of a team that lives too far away to see often) and I d love to make the most of it!Thanks so much for your help!

Here is a link to the info about club level.I haven t done the buffet there before but have at Cardinals game. Normally I think it is overpriced but since you are on a trip your husband doesn t get to see the Blues in person often he would certainly will enjoy it. Very thoughtful of you I must say.I normally try to get there about 30 mins prior to gametime. If you want to park in the garage next to Scottrade get there at least one hour prior. There is a parking lot across Clark St. and Union Station has parking a few blocks west.If you don t go to hockey games often dress warm. Have fun!

Scottrade can give you the info

I m not sure if you have club seats or not. They usually come with a parking pass for the garage next to the Scottrade Center. The club seats are on the plaza level in sections 101-106 and from 113-119. They are the 8 rows right under the boxes. Getting there anywhere from an hour to a half hour would be fine. All depends on where you park and how far you want to walk. While we usually eat somewhere else before the game, since its a special occasion for you, I d say enjoy the buffet. Hope you have fun at the game and that you see a win for the Blues.
