How do you pay for public buses in Chicago? -
You do not have to buy a pass before, if you like you can just pay once you board the bus, Im not sure of the current bus fare rate but if you click on the link that I have provided you can find out how much its going to cost. Again you can pay once you board the bus, just be sure to have the exact amount. Click on the link and you can see what buses/trains you can take. you can select the attraction/landmark and just chose Union station (Start) and Museum of Contemporary Art (End) Hope all works out!
I m not sure if they sell passes at union station, but you pay on the bus, it s $2.25 and there s a machine right when you enter where you put in the money.
$2.25, as soon as you get on the bus. Have exact fare, no change given.

Good Vegas entertainment on the Strip for under $50/ticket? -
Penn Teller is a great show - you ll love it.Something to check out will be the Tix4Tonight booths on the strip. They offer same-day show tickets at discounted prices, sometimes up to 50% off. The selection changes daily, and you can never really predict what they will have. But you can often find some great deals. There are often Buy One Get One Free or Buy One Get One 50% Off for Jubilee at Bally s. Great show. You could also check out the Improv at Harrah s - the comedy there is usually really good, and I think tickets are around $30 or a little less. Harrah s is right next door to Venetian. Wayne Brady s show at Venetian is great, but those tickets were $100 each when we were there.
thanks so much for the tip. I ll check out that booth and try my luck on the day of. Report Abuse
There are lots of shows for $50 per ticket. Your best bet is to wait till you get to Vegas and purchase your tickets that morning from one of the half price ticket booths along the strip. Here is more information.http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/discount_
well you can walk down the strip. its very pretty at night. or watch the masquerade show or the show in the sky at the rio it free. or go to the fashion show mall and spend ur money on shopping lol. oh, you might wanna bring a jacket. its cold out here in vegas right now. :)
I beleve you can do the Las Vegas version of the price is right at Ballys for about $50 bucks and Frank Caliendo as well.
how about you ask when you get there, shows change all the time...(and for under $50 and good...hahahahahahahaha...)
The production shows for that price are usually magicians or family acts. Rita Rudner has a clean comedy act at Harrah s for roughly that price. She can be very funny. However, she seemingly only performs on very sporadic days, so you ll have to check on your date. Unfortunately I think she returns on Wednesday 12/23.--------------------If you have never seen a Cirque du Soleil show, then I urge you to try and see Mystere at Treasure Island right across the street from the Venetian. It will probably cost you more than $50, but it is a lot less than the high price shows like Ka and Love. Despite the age of the show (1993) it is still very entertaining.
Hello Mike P : Every hotel/casino has entertainment ... most shows don t require a reservation. Make sure to pay a night-time visit to Old Las Vegas and watch the overhead computerized light show. Spend a day in Caesar s Palace ... the fountain statues come alive hourly, gift shops there are neat and you ll love the 3D Cinema in Caesar s. Penn Teller are getting old. I wouldn t rate them high-end . For a small fee, you can take a bus ride day-trip to Laughlin. You ll get a view of a desert and the trip there takes 1 1/2 hrs. It s usually a gambler s trip and casinoes there are small. Before you leave, check out entertainment info. at WikiPedia.com. I m sure you ll find all the news you need about entertainment. Enjoy Vegas !, Mike P !
The Best way to make it on your own (Run away)? -
Military
Join the military. A place to stay, health care, a salary, training. opportunity to advance and a safe place to think of your next move. Stay out of the Marines unless you always wanted to be one, stay out of combat jobs, the little bit extra you get paid isn t worth it.Decide what you want to be when you grow up and try to find a job that gives you training and experience in that area.Go to the library and use the ASVB prep test book so you can score as high as possible.Keep your head, and whatever you do don t run away to New York !!!!Your life is worth something .As bad as it is , it can get a lot worse.
Do not come to NYC, there are predators aou there that will eat you alive.
How is it living in LA? -
Before you can even consider living in the US you must become a legal resident and that process takes a LONG time.$2400 US dollars can get you A LOT here, but I highly doubt you ll make that much. Minimum wage jobs ever are about $900/mo. (and that s if you get lucky!!)
I wouldn t live in LA, it s got some pretty bad area s. I live about 15 min away in a small town called Bellflower. The rent here is about $1200 a month max for an apartment. There are other good surrounding area s as well like Downey, Cerritos, Norwalk. I grew up here and I think there are a lot of great area s that are a short distance from LA. Unfortunately every town has a bad area but I think LA has far more. Good luck to you!
Most people who ask this question are unprepared, unrealistic, with no money, no experience, no skills, (no visa), and no plan.If you are outside the United States, you will need a visa. The nice folks in the immigration forum can help you with that.Next, you need a plan: First item on the agenda is rent. A decent 1BR apartment in LA currently goes for $1200, give or take. Nicer areas and areas closer to the beach are much higher. Don t expect to move to Santa Monica and get an apartment on the beach for that much. Or Toluca Lake, or Beverly Hills. Next, you will need a car. Los Angeles is VERY spread out, and train service is extremely limited. If you don t have a car, you will have to take a bus, which takes 3 times longer to get anywhere than a car. All told, it generally takes about $3,000 per month to live here. If you don t have a job that pays that much or skills that can get you that kind of job, stay where you are. If you are unskilled and work for minimum wage (or for tips like bartending or waiting tables), you ll only make about $1200 per month. And speaking of jobs, they are rather hard to come by now. College grads seeking employment are having a very tough time of it right now, since the job market is flooded with experienced people who were laid off. Unemployment is over 12% right now. Not exactly the kind of job market you want to move into. Finally, you will need money. Landlords want first month s rent and a security deposit up front. You ll need money for food, transportation, utilities, etc. The consensus in this forum is that you need about $7500 to start out. Probably $10,000US if you are from another country. So there s your plan. And please don t tell us that you have dreams of being an actor or singer. That sets off another alarm. We already have a million (literally) wannabe actors in this town. Dont even get me started.
Take a look at this and your determination level will rise :) L.A is fabulous. I love it here.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKDEfAu4Q

You need to put this under Homework Help or Math as this is for US travel.
Israel or the US ????????????????? -
Sorry, it s a stupid question, because it s never going to happen.
Man are you delusional.A) The US is miles ahead of Israel in all of those categories.B) If Israel and the US went to war the US could flatten the entire country in a matter of days. If we cared about occupation or what happens after the war it would take a little longer. What are you smoking that you think it s even close to equal?
The one who says ENOUGH we are shaming you to live in peace.

How much $ in tolls would i pay to go from akron, oh to miami, fl? -
You can get away with none, but more likely, your looking at I-77 (in WV) and thats 3.75, and thats it if you dont take the Florida toll road near Miami (and you dont have to, its sometimes quicker but you can take 95 instead).
Bill Nye the science guy? -
Yes. When I was younger (and even now), this was my preferred way of learning anything scientific. He has so many fun ways of teaching science.
I liked him. He was very informative and knew how to explain things to kids with adding a sense of humor to it....most of them were corny, yes but it still made you crack up. he uses pictures, models, experiments, and ones you can do at home too. he knows how to teach kids.overall it was a good show and I liked it
Science is coooool Haha he was pretty lame, but he helped me learn.I was watching him today in school, too!Zahra Gagaa*facebook me!

Is there ANY way to get to the Rosemont Theater (chicago) by public transportation? -
If I could walk it at -3 degrees one January, you can do it too! It wasn t that far. Now for the Allstate you need a cab, but Rosemont was easy.Just get out at the Rosemont station on the Blue Line, which is the end of the line. Go south 3 blocks.Rosemont Blue Line-5701 N River RdRosemont Theater-5400 N River Rd
Tichur is absolutely correct with his directions, just hop on the train and get off at clark and transfer to the blue line which is underground take the blue line to O Hare which is on the right-hand side when you re going down. Get off at rosemont and walk down Des Plaines River rd to the theater. The site that Tichur gave is a great site, and you can also use google maps
Yes, but you will have a 6 block walk:take the orange line to Clark/Lake transfer to the blue line northboundexit at the Rosemoont CTA stationwalk 0.7 miles south to the theater
orange line to blue line transfer, believe it is the Thompson center. there may be a bus but i don t recall and it s a 6-7 blk walk

Cold places to live in the US? Preferably on the Eastern side of the country? -
I don t know about 60 degrees being the maximum, since most areas of the northeast, even in the coldest areas, will still hit 80 usually in the summer. You should look into the city of Burlington, Vermont. It s a nice place and they have mild summers there (not usually much over 80 degrees.) And they have cold, snowy winters. They get a fair amount of snow. They are right off of Lake Champlain, and fairly near the Great Lakes region of the U.S. which means they get Lake Effect snow (intense snow that builds up over the Great Lakes and then dumps snow just to the east of the Great Lakes.)There are a lot ski resorts in that area, and the city of Burlington is a nice college town. Check it out.
You should live in either Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont.New Hampshire and Vermont have beautiful mountains and have very nice small towns near the mountains. Maine also has places like that, but Maine really doesn t have mountains. All three of those states have a lot of snowfall during the winter and they don t get too hot during the summer. However, it can get up to 80 or higher during the summer up there. However, when it is 80, its not humid, and believe me, it feels cooler than that.I ve been to Maine and New Hampshire during the middle of the summer and it is beautiful up there!
Shuffle off to Buffalo.

Where would be a good place to road trip to for 5 days? -
South Beach, Miami, FL if you want chicks to watch.Orlando, FL if you want things to do.
You can try to drive to NYC but that s pretty far up north. Either that or Miami where its nice and warm with the bikinis.
Im wondering how many tolls there are on fl-91 ( im driving from Tn. to Fort Lauderdale ).? -
Well the exact toll will vary by where in Fort Lauderdale you get off. But if you get on the Turnpike at I-75, expect the total to be around $17 if you re paying cash. You usually save around 25% by paying with Sunpass.Sunpass is the way to go. Don t worry about getting change and many of the toll plazas you can go through at 65. Plus the tolls cost less. The savings on the tolls have easily paid for the transponder which I only use the two times a year I go down to Florida.
How much is the admission fees to the them park of Universal studios in Orlando? -
for tickets tryhttp://www.universalorlando.com/Tickets/Parking to Universal is $14 a day. Hotels near Universal are in the International Dr (North end) area. http://www.internationaldriveorlando.com
Admission and other info about the theme parks is listed on their websites.I always use TripAdvisor.com to find hotels. It has comments from past guests, which are really helpful in deciding where to stay.
Does anyone know where I can get a Hedge Hog in the St. Louis and or surrounding areas? -
